"Alex, Please give me a chan-"

"Enough!! Last time when I gave a chance, I got nothing but a heartache, I don't want to take that risk anymore."

Sandra, seeing Alex was not responding to her, wanted to keep begging for the chance to explain but cut off mid sentence by the stern words of Alex.

His tone was full of regret and filled with anguish. Anyone who hears it would want to take him in their arms to give him solace like an injured puppy.

Sandra wanted to do that but unfortunately he was already in the arms of Grace, so it was not feasible for her to do.

But rather than envy and be jealous towards Grace, Sandra drowned in guilt knowing the fact that she was the one who touched his old wounds.

So for now she decided to stop bothering him, give him space and then try again after getting some proof of her innocence.
