After I got into the abandoned house, I looked for a place that can give an outside view while at the same time safe, I went upstairs to the house and found a place with window and the wall didn't collapse so I sat down there before taking off my backpack to eat some of the snacks I got.

When I brought out the snack, I heard a ruffling sound and looked around but didn't find anything and thought it was the snack packet that made the sound when I brought it out, I proceeded to open the packet when I heard the sound again before jumping to my feet and hold the two knives in front of me while looking around.

I was looking over the whole place when I could barely hear someone's accelerated breathing with new improved human body and senses, I didn't react when I found where the sound came from but acted like I didn't hear it while getting closer to the wardrobe.

when I got closer to the wardrobe, I immediately thrust one of my knives into the wardrobe while moving back when I heard some someone scream from inside and kicked the door to the wardrobe while running out and I tackled the person immediately while suppressing them and hold the mouth to stop the screaming.

The person was struggling when I got closer to his ear and whispered " I will let you go if you calm down and stop screaming" he nodded and I let him go while standing up. I got to where I thrust the knife and took it out before looking back at the boy with year stains in his eyes while massaging the arm that I Locked him with when I was suppressing him.

I got close to while and squatted before petting his head and said " I'm sorry I had to do that, I can't have you scream with all these zombies around" he shuddered when I said, zombie but I acted like I saw nothing and asked him what his name was before he said " Aron"

Me: why are you alone here Aron.

Aron: Everyone left me and ran away.

Me: Why

Aron: Because I was holding them back and they had to carry me while running from the zombies.

Me: How old are you?

Aron: 7 will be eight soon.

Me: Sorry to hear that but you need to find a better place to hide.

Aron: Can't I stay with you mister, you look strong.

When I heard him say that I wanted to laugh cause he was dreaming if he thought i was going to be his hero and save him, his parents left him to survive so why would I a stranger risk saving a child that can get me killed. I shook my head before walking towards where my bag was with the snacks and invited him to join me since he looked hungry and the snack was the reason he got caught in the first place.

After eating I brought out the three crystal I had before looking carefully at the boy, I called the boy to come closer when I to him that I want him to keep a lookout outside and wake me up when something happens or seem out of place and to get him more motivated I told him that I will give him more snacks and candy if he does a good job.

When I saw that everything was okay, I threw one of the crystals inside my mouth before it melted away while sliding down my throat before feeling that my whole body got warm and this time I wasn't sleepy or knocked so I swallowed the second one while the feeling got hotter before taking the last one and that was how much I could handle before everything blacked out again.

Aron pov.

I looked towards the nice mister that gave me a good snack and pet me in the head fall to the ground and look like he was dead but his whole face and arm were red, I wanted to scream and run to him to see what the problem was but I remembered his instruction and stayed where I was, I just hope he will get better and wake up soon to give me a good snack and candy hehe.
