19 Chapter 18 System 2.0

When John looked at his stats. He decided to allocate the 2 points to his strength, adding more power to his body, causing his muscles to shake and become harder. He felt refreshed after doing this.

"I can feel my strength, grow by 10%" John spoke even though he added, only two points but the two points is equivalent. To John training for 2 months.

John went out into the night to hunt for food, using his skill [shadow walk] to remain unnoticed.

He was always cautious now, given the presence of the anaconda - if there were extinct animals on the island, it could mean there were more dangerous creatures lurking about.

John continued venturing until he saw a deer eating grass. He quietly approached and closed the distance, then punch the deer on the head. The deer was caught off guard and lost consciousness, falling to the ground.

John, looked around and look, at the right of the forest.

John spoke to himself, "If I remembered clearly, that is the way where I fought the anaconda."

He remembered the direction because during the fight, he looked at his surroundings to find an escape. John had a photographic memory, so he could not forget anything he had seen.

He headed towards the direction and found the aftermathbof their battle. The blood is already dried up , but some small pits could still be seen.

John searched for his bag but could not find it. Fortunately, he found his knife on the ground. He picked up the knife and carried the deer back to where the girls were, intending to cook it for them.

John knew that the girls were starving and needed a nutritious meal to regain their strength.

He quickly got to work on skinning the deer, carefully using his knife to remove the hide and prepare the meat. He made a small fire outside the cave and placed the meat on a skewer over the flames, slowly cooking it to perfection.

Despite having limited ingredients, John knew how to make the most of what he had. He scoured the forest for herbs and spices, picking out wild garlic, thyme, and rosemary to add to the meat.

He also found some mushrooms and berries that he knew would add some extra flavor to the dish.

As the aroma of the cooked meat drifted into the cave, Bianca, Anna, and Christine woke up to the sudden smell. They went outside and saw that John was done cooking the deer.

John looked at them and smiled, "You're awake." He took three skewered of meat, then gave two sticks to Bianca and Christine.

"It's a little hot" John warned the two.

The two of them didn't say thank you but ate it directly, burning their mouths. But the taste and flavor of the meat drifted in their entire bodies, which is totally worth it.

Anna looked at John's skewered meat and went to his side. When John noticed this he held Anna's shoulder, helping her sit down.

"Sit here first," John commanded, feeling the weakness of Anna's body.

Anna nodded her head and followed John's words. "Wait, let me blow it up, for it's still a little hot," John said to Anna.

Anna blushed from John's gentleness. "Here, say ahh," John spoke to Anna while lifting his arm to feed her.

Anna opened her cute little mouth shyly and ate the skewer while looking down. John looked at her, feeling amused by her expression.

When Bianca and Christine noticed John being affectionate towards Anna, they felt a little jealous.

"Why is the treatment so different" However, they did not interfere but went to the fireplace to get more skewered meat to eat.

"This is delicious," the two of them said in unison.

Meanwhile, John spoke to Anna with a serious tone.

"You just have to rest. I'll take care of all three of you since I've already recovered. Here, have some more," he said, feeding Anna again.

Anna felt a warm feeling in her heart hearing John's words. "He still hasn't changed," she thought, recalling something from the past.

After they finished the food and only the bones remained, Bianca and Christine lay down on the ground, feeling full and unable to move.

Anna rested her head on John's shoulder, still feeling a little tired. John didn't move but smiled contentedly.

As Bianca and Christine rested and some of the food began to digest, they looked over at John and Anna, who were sitting together, still close to each other.

"I was wrong," Bianca thought to herself, feeling regretful for her past assumptions and behaviour.

Christine understood what Bianca was thinking but didn't say anything.

Instead Bianca gazed at the two of them sitting together. while John holding Anna, in order for her to not fall, the two are asleep looking like a couple.

As John and Anna slept, the sun rose, waking them both up. Anna blushed when she realized that John was hugging her.

She looked at John's face, and when John noticed Anna's movements, he opened his eyes, and they both looked at each other.

The world seemed silent, as if they were the only two people in existence.

Suddenly, Christine made a fake cough, obviously irritated by the couple's behavior.

"If you two are going to be lovey-dovey, why do it here?" Christine thought to herself, feeling a bit hurt.

When John and Anna heard the cough, they finally came back to their senses. Anna stood up in fright, her face turning beet red, and she ran to the beach out of embarrassment.

John was about to say something, but it was already too late. Anna was already too far away.

"Are you girl's full?" John changed the subject and asked Bianca and Christine.

"Yes," both of them spoke in unison.

"Thanks, John. If it weren't for you, we would have starved to death," Bianca expressed her gratitude towards John.

"Don't mention it. I should be thanking you girls. If it weren't for you, I would have died," John shook his head.

"John, what kind of animal did you get this meat from? Is it a boar?" Bianca inquired.

"Nope, it's from a deer I killed while he's busy eating," John replied, answering Christine's question.

"Excuse me for now, ladies, I'm going to look for my bag," John waved his hand to the two. While going back into the forest.

Bianca and Christine did not stop John, and they went their separate ways. Bianca and Christine went to the beach to find Anna.

They saw Anna sitting on a rock near the sea, smiling. The two of them sat beside her, and Anna looked at both of them, and a beatiful sunny smile was still visoble on her face.

Bianca couldn't bear the guilt any longer and apologized to Anna, "Anna, I'm sorry for calling John a bad guy back then and saying we should abandon him, if he's crippled" while bowing her head.

In the past four days, Anna had been ignoring Bianca and focusing all her attention on John.

"Sister, stop apologizing. I've already forgiven you a long time ago," Anna hurriedly lifted Bianca's head.

"I know that you only wanted to protect me. I also want to apologize for ignoring you this whole time," Anna spoke while hugging Bianca around her waist.

Christine, who was standing beside them, watched this heartwarming scene unfold without disturbing the two.

"It's just like I'm in a movie," she thought to herself.

"Sister Bianca, where is John?" Anna inquired.

"He went back to the forest to look for his bag," Bianca replied.

While Anna and Bianca talked, John searched for his backpack in the forest. During the battle with the anaconda, he was hit by its tail, causing his backpack to be swept away. for who knows where.

"Where the heck, did my bag went" john spoke, when he's finally our of patient.

Despite searching the area again and again, John couldn't locate his backpack until suddenly the system appeared in his vision.
