15 A FIGURE SITTING IN DARK

After one week:

Kevin went to meet Stella, but her mother informed him that she is not at home.

"Then where is she?" Kevin asked.

"She went to meet her friends", Stella's mom replied.

Kevin decided to call her and soon he came to know that she is at Alizy's home, Kevin went there.

He knocked at the door and Jack opened it.

"Hey! Angry man what are you doing here?" Jack asked.

"I just came to meet Stella", Kevin replied carelessly and went inside, where he saw Helen, she was weeping.

"What happened to her?" Kevin whispered to Stella.

"She is missing Alizy!" Stella replied sadly.

"Why? where is she?" Kevin asked.

"Don't you know she is no more between us?" Stella asked surprisingly.

"No more?? Kevin asked, and looked at Helen, she was weeping bitterly.

"She committed suicide!" Stella said in a sad tone.

Kevin left that place and ran towards his home, went into his room, and locked himself inside.

"What happened to him? Why did he leave?" Jack questioned Stella.

"I think I know the reason", Andy said while thinking something.

"What?" Jack questioned.

"This is not an appropriate place to discuss that, come to my house in the evening I have something to tell you", Andy replied.

"Did I kill her?" Kevin asked while looking into the mirror.

"No, I just wanted her to learn a good lesson, I just wanted to change her way of thinking and put some love for Stella there, no! I did not kill her; I am not a murderer! I did not intend to kill her", he kept on talking to himself.

In the evening, Jack went to Andy's house.

"I am being curious, what is it that you wanted to tell me?" Jack asked.

"Jack, there is something you are not aware of, but it is too late now, so promise me that you will not create any drama", Andy said.

"I will die with this curiosity, tell me what happened?" he questioned.

"Alizy fought with Stella, Kevin called me and asked me to tell Alizy to say sorry to Stella, I went to Alizy's place she was disturbed, she said that she liked you but you were interested in Stella and now she was in the same position but instead of you, this time it was Kevin"

"And Kevin likes Stella!" Jack completed, so? What is the point?

"There might be two reasons behind Alizy's death, first reason is that she thought, she is not as beautiful and attractive as Stella is, second, I think Kevin did something wrong," Andy said.

"Wrong?" Jack asked.

"Well, did not you notice he is such an expert in evil games", Andy tried to give Jack some hints.

"Let me deal with that barbarian", Jack said with gnashing teeth.

"Jack, it is too late to say anything!" Andy said.

"It is never too late!" Jack said and left his house and headed towards Kevin's house, he knocked at the door badly.

"You will regret it! Just because of you, Alizy committed suicide!" Jack shouted from the door.

Kevin opened the door and Jack held him with his collar and said, "I will kill you! You beast! You feeling less brute".

"Stop it!" Kevin shouted, "Why would I kill her?"

"Because of your evil spirit, you took Stella from me I remained silent, and now! You! Yes, you took Alizy from me, I will never be able to see her", Jack cried.

"HA-HA, Stella never loved you, she told me herself, and as far as Alizy is concerned you will see her soon!" Kevin said with hope.

"You are a son of the devil!" Jack said with hate.

"Get lost, otherwise your words and behavior will make you remorseful.", Kevin shouted.

Jack left Kevin's house, but Kevin was unable to control his anger due to the abusive words of Jack.

At night, Jack was not sleepy, he kept on looking at the ceiling, he was thinking about Alizy.

"I realized how important you were to me, I realize your worth after losing you, how could you become a memory?" Jack questioned himself.

He tried to sleep, saw a nightmare, and soon some babbling sounds woke him up.

He sat in his place and tried to look in dark but found no one, but he could feel someone's presence in the room, in the corner, near the bathroom, a figure was sitting, he tried to look, it seemed like it is a shadow of something, but soon it disappeared.

He went back to sleep and considered it an after-effect of the nightmare.

It was 4 am, he heard as if someone is sobbing. He woke up and tried to look in the direction of the sound and again saw a figure sitting at the same place, and a sobbing sound was coming from there.

"Who is there?" he asked loudly.

There was no response.

Jack was only able to listen to that sound, it was a sound as if someone is shedding tears silently.

"I will try to help you if you tell me something!" Jack asked looking in the dark.

The sobbing sounds stopped. Maybe that figure was waiting for Jack to ask the question.

"Why are you crying?" Jack asked.

There was no response.

"Actually this was not my question, my question is why are you crying here, in my room! can't you go somewhere else? go to my mom's room!", Jack requested.

"Jack!" that figure called him.

"Alizy?" Jack was shocked to hear Alizy's voice, "What are you doing here, no, why are you here?"

"You left me alone in that dark place!" the figure replied.

"Dark place? are you referring to the grave?" Jack asked.

"I felt so alone there! So, I decided to come here, now talk to me and then we will go to the graveyard." that figure said.

"Graveyard? We?" he questioned and slapped on his face to see if he is waking or sleeping.

"Alizy?" he called but there was no response. He was unable to see any figure.

"I will go to the graveyard to see if Alizy is there, why she was here? I think we buried a living creature that is why she came outside, no she was dead, maybe she was not, maybe she is pranking, maybe she wants me to miss her that is why she is teasing me, maybe I was thinking about her that is why I felt so, Am I getting mad? I think I should go to Dr. Kylie as well", he kept on talking to himself until he fell asleep.
