53 Information

After leaving Egypt, the group sailed for a while, letting the ocean currents carry the boat. Inmo had no travel plan this time. The sun was setting; previously white clouds now painted by the sun turned somewhat orange, creating a beautiful contrast with the pink sky.

Inmo, gazing at the breathtaking view, was still pondering what happened in Egypt during the last battle. Once again, he questioned if everything was alright, if he was giving his all in the fight.

But soon, he cast those thoughts aside as Franky approached to discuss the Observers' developments. In his hands, Franky held a box sent by their people.

"Master, I've received news about a new breakthrough in speed force research," Franky spoke to Inmo, his tone serious and refined.

"Go ahead, you can start talking," Inmo was anticipating the next news. Several months ago, he had received news that scientists had succeeded in creating a speedster. Now, they had a safe method for creating super beings. Still, Inmo had not allowed them to use this method and had suggested they implement a way to control this power. After all, it would be pandemonium if there were thousands of speedsters capable of time travel.

So, thanks to this, the Observers decided to take a different path. They delved deep into the speed force and created a machine that acted as an energy generator, serving as a bridge between the speed force and the person who would use it.

How could a person connect to the machine? That was what Franky was demonstrating now. Inside the box he held were two delicate and exquisite bracelets, adorned with various circuits that shone, forming different line patterns. They were made from the Earth's strongest metals, mixed with a small part of the metal used in the ships Inmo had recently destroyed.

Franky handed one of the bracelets to Inmo, using the other himself. As he placed the bracelet on his wrist, he continued the explanation.

"Master, these bracelets are used to grant super speed to those who wear them. Thanks to them, the Council can also control how much speed a user can access. The scientists developed a way to calculate the bond strength between a speedster and the speed force, and they can measure it as a percentage. So far, the Council has allowed ordinary citizens to have a 40% connection to the energy source. But for those on the Empire's frontline, like the Council itself, they've permitted a 70% connection. The Council has set your bracelet to have a 100% connection."

Inmo, hearing this, did not disagree with the Council. They had extensive experience in controlling the empire, and their decisions usually aligned with his thoughts. As he pondered this, he noticed that Franky had become more serious. It seemed there was more to discuss.

"Master, while studying the speed force, they realized that the current timeline was undergoing many changes. It seems many things are trying to interfere with different parts of the timeline. But thanks to their studies of the speed force, they've added another functionality to the bracelet."

"While someone is wearing the bracelet, they will remain in the same timeline and dimension as the Empire. However, the Council decided to change the anchor point to your bracelet, so even if you shift to another timeline or dimension, the entire Empire can follow you."

Upon hearing this news, Inmo was genuinely surprised that they were so quickly. He hadn't given it much thought, as he would survive even if this timeline were erased. However, the same couldn't be said for the empire he had built.

"Master, the Council is requesting your consent to create a task force to keep the timeline secure, preventing time travelers from emerging and changing everything. The Council wants the participants in this task force to have access to 100% pure speed force, like yourself," Franky said, then fell silent, awaiting Inmo's decision.

Inmo thought about this for a while. Maintaining continuity in this timeline had its merits, but wouldn't that be hypocritical? After all, he himself had completely changed this timeline when he stepped into this world.

After thinking for a while, he reached a decision and communicated it to Franky. "Tell the Council that I approve the creation of the task force. However, they must make better plans regarding the hierarchy of this task force. Don't allow everyone who enters to reach 100%; they must prove their worth and loyalty to the Empire. I'm not being arbitrary here; I trust my people. However, these individuals will travel through time and interact with different people and cultures, which could lead to a different perspective on the Empire. So, I must remain vigilant about how much power these individuals can access."

"Also, before I forget, please request another bracelet. It doesn't need to grant speed, but it should have the function of temporal anchoring," Inmo added as he saw Diana approaching. "That's all for now, Franky."

Franky, noticing that the conversation had concluded with Diana's arrival, bid farewell to them both and departed.

"So, where are we heading this time?" Diana was curious about the next adventure, but to her disappointment, Inmo replied, "I don't know. For now, destiny is guiding the boat. Is there somewhere you'd like to go?"

Upon hearing this, Diana entered a moment of reflection and soon made a decision. "Yes, but I need to speak to everyone together, so I think it's best to save it for dinner."

"Well, you have my curiosity. I'm looking forward to dinner," Inmo said before he moved away to attend to other matters, just as Diana seemed to have some things to arrange before dinner.
