Ellyss immediately puts a low fighting stance and wields her spear forward, the bear like creature, unafraid, continues forward and strikes the spear with its right paw horizontally with the intention to break it, but instead, Ellyss pulls the spear back, simultaneously, sidestepping to her right and thrusting it into the beast's neck, aiming for the carotid artery.

Though, it was ineffective in piercing its thick fur, the spear's upper part breaks, Ellyss immediately tries to step back, but the creature redirects its momentum with seemingly impossible speed, it strikes again, now with its left paw, it smashes into her chest with immense strength.

She's thrown 10 meters to the right, but manages to land on her feet, breathing heavily from the blow, she gets ready, grabs the flint knife and a rock from the floor, she throws the rock towards its cubs and runs towards the lake, the beast easily deflects it, but now, with pure rage, it mindlessly follows Ellyss into the lake, she swims to a pretty deep part of it and dives, the beast follows, now noticing how much slower it is when submerged, but it's too late, Ellyss isn't a great swimmer, but she manages to maneuver around and into the beast's back.

She holds with all her strength, prepares her knife and stab into the beast's bare, scorched back which she was looking since earlier, she thrusts, again, again, again, she's aiming for the beast's lungs, as it tries to scream in pain underwater, usually when something get into its back, it would smash it against a tree or the ground, but it was unable underwater, it shakes and shakes with brutal strength, desperately trying to take off Ellyss of its back, but it's no use, Ellyss continues to dig into its somewhat hard, but still vulnerable flesh, the creature hurriedly swims trying to reach the shore, but in vain, its lungs were pierced and already filling with water, it sank and suffocated.

Ellyss swam out of the lake, the cubs which watched with fear and sat there still, ran away for their lives, the one which was shaking before the fight, though, didn't get very far.
