Following these bats, it didn't take long to arrive at where Veronica was.

This was another place where the main characters fought their enemies.

They were right under a bridge that had a train running across it.

This was a place that was well hidden that no one would come here, perfect for the main character to fight their enemies without being interrupted.

Just like before, Veronica was surrounded by handsome men, but there was one enemy that was different.

Instead of a handsome young man, it was a beautiful woman with blood red lips and sharp fangs.

With this different appearance, it was clear that she was different from the rest of the handsome young men.

If I had to guess, it seemed like she was some kind of mid boss.

Or at the very least, she was someone that managed the other lackeys.

The way that they were standing made it seem like they were talking about something, but I was just too far away to hear what they were saying.

Even if I wanted to get closer, it wasn't as if I could.

The moment that I came closer, I would have been noticed since there wasn't any place to hide here.

I had already made a mistake with Yan Huang, so I wouldn't make a second mistake.

Or at least that was what I thought…

After what seemed like they had been talking for a bit, they suddenly jumped back to create space between them. That was when a large bat suddenly fell down right in between the two sides.

This large bat transformed into a large muscular man that was hard to call a regular person since they were over three meters tall and completely made of muscles.

But the strangest thing was…both sides seemed to be wary of this large muscular man.

By normal standards, this large muscular man should have been on the side of the red lipped woman, but it didn't seem like that was the case.

After a moment of silence, the muscular man suddenly raised its head and gave a roar.

This was an ear shattering roar that shook the surrounding area.

It was so loud that even some of the handsome men couldn't help falling to their knees as they covered their ears.

I also couldn't help covering my ears even though I was watching from far away.

However, it didn't seem like anyone else around the area heard a thing.

It seemed like there was this barrier around this area that stopped this roar from spreading. In fact, I could see that there was a certain line that pedestrians stopped at before turning around.

Then how did I come in here?

No, there was no time to think about that.

After that loud roar, the muscular man shouted, "You all die now!"

It was almost a guttural voice that seemed like it was coming from the very depths of his abdomen. It was a voice that seemed like the roar of a beast.

But what it said made it clear that it wasn't on anyone's side.

After that roar, the muscular man raised his hands and slammed them down on the ground.

There were large cracks that suddenly formed in the ground like a spider web, spreading all around the muscular man. These cracks kept spreading until they reached both parties and both parties jumped away from the muscular man again.

However, some of them found it hard to land since the muscular man's smash had caused the ground to shake.

Some of them fell to the ground and that was when blades of blood stabbed them.

They were able to evade it in time, but several of them were seriously injured because of these blades of blood.

They just laid there holding their wounds as they looked for the one that had thrown the blades.

There was a small bat that landed on the shoulder of the muscular man before it turned into an old man. This old man had glasses, but under those glasses were the sharp gaze of an assassin.

In this old man's hands were daggers made of blood, showing that he had been the one that had thrown these blades of blood.

When this old man appeared, the woman with the red lips immediately narrowed her eyes showing that she recognized him. After a moment of silence, she said, "Gargamel, what is the meaning of this?"

The old man that had been called Gargamel looked at the woman with the red lips with a crooked and evil smile before saying, "Elizabeth, can't you already guess what's happening?"

The red lipped woman who had been called Elizabeth deeply knitted her brows when she heard this, but she didn't say anything in response.

Gargamel lost interest in her and turned to look at Veronica to say with a taunting smile, "Your highness, it is good to see you again."

Veronica knitted her brows as well and gave a snort in response.

Gargamel didn't mind this at all as he patted the muscular man under him and said, "It seems that you've already become acquainted with my little friend here. The Blood Lord worked hard to create our little friend here, so I hope that you will be able to enjoy it to your heart's content."

Veronica knitted her brows even more as she looked back at the muscular man.

Gargamel then continued by saying, "But before that, it seems that there's something that I need to deal with."

I couldn't stop the bad feeling that filled me when I heard this, but then I found that there was someone behind me. This person had a blood dagger pointed right at my throat, so I had no choice but to raise my hand and follow him as he pulled me out.

I never expected to be caught like this since I thought that I had been hiding far enough away.

When we came over, Gargamel looked at me with a wide smile and said, "It seems like we have a little rat."
