Chapter 28 : Save the dignity

The dinner was held in a VIP room at Four Seasons Hotel. All the crew had arrived when Tang Wei and Long Fei entered the room. Director He who was talking to Qian Luo immediately stood up to welcome them. "Ms Tang, you have arrived. You are also here Ms Long."

"Thankyou for giving us this opportunity.", Long Fei shook her hand with Director He.

"It's my honour. Come, let me introduce you to the other actors and actresses.", director He said as he guided them to the table.

"This is Zhao ge, he will act as Yan Sheng."

Tang Wei smiled to the man who was called as Zhao ge by director He. She knew this man. His real name was Zhao Chang. He was an A-listed actor who had just came out from his hiatus after three years.

"This is Kathy, she will act as Xiao Lan."

Kathy cheerfully greeted Tang Wei "Tang jie, I am your fan."

Tang Wei smiled, but her feeling said that this woman was someone that she needed to be cautious of. She heard that she was an arrogant young girl. She achieved her popularity because she was said to play unspoken rules with her boss, The Superstar's chairman.

"That is Luo Chen and beside him is Mu Fan, they will play as Ah Jiu and Erick."

They only nodded to Tang Wei as recognition so did Tang Wei. Both of them were rising stars recently. Tang Wei had paid some attentions to their actings and she could say that they would definitely rise to the highest peak in this industry in less than two years.

The Thieves were a story about five people who were just released from prison vowed to live uprightly, but life was tough. Hence, they took the offer to steal the 'Eternal Love' diamond which was in the possesion of a billionaire.

Tang Wei took a seat beside Qian Luo after getting acquainted with the rest. Qian Luo started the conversation "Have you read the last revision?"

Tang Wei nodded after she took a sip of her tea "En, I think there is nothing more to add. Let's just do improvisations in the scene if we have any more ideas by then."

"No wonder director He insisted on having you as the main character.", Qian Luo smiled.

It was such a nice exprerience working with Tang Wei since she respected others. She would carefully give suggestions without offending anyone. She was also full of idea which helped them to improve the storyline.

"It's called teamwork.", Tang Wei smiled.

At that moment, the door was opened and two majestic men walked into the room. One was wearing grey suit while the others was wearing navy blue suit. Their halo blinded the people inside the room which brought the whole room turned into utter silence.

Although everyone was part of the showbiz and they had encountered good-looking men, these two men in front of them were in the whole different level. They were not only handsome but also their auras were undescribeable.

Thankfully, director He got back to his sense faster than others and he quickly welcomed them which then followed by other minor investors.

Han Zhi Fan eyes had scanned around the room only to spot the woman who was in her white chiffon A-line dress. She let her curly hair drape over her shoulder.

As for Lu Jinnian, he tried to calm himself down when he saw Qian Luo who was sitting beside Tang Wei. Her eyes were gloomy and the dark circle around her eyes were so apparent on her snowy skin. He cleary saw her looking at him with his peripheral vision, but when he turned to her, she lowered her head.

During the dinner, it was inevitable for not drinking so everyone would sip a little to lighten up the atmosphere. As for Tang Wei, she had Long Fei who would shield her. Long Feo would represent Tang Wei to for any offers by reasoning that Tang Wei had just been warned by doctors to drink less. Upon looking this, Han Zhi Fan could put at ease.

"Ms Qian, I'm a fan of yours." Suddenly, a middle-aged man who was one of the investors exclaimed.

Qian Luo who was silently eating her food looked up to the source of the voice and she could see the hidden meaning of the middle-aged man's eyes. She smiled and thanked him. However, the man didn't let her off "Ms Qian, would you honor this old man with a toss?"

The whole room fell into silence. Everyone knew that this middle-aged man had his eyes on Qian Luo, after all they were people from the industry who knew more or less about the unspokern rules, so they were waiting for Qian Luo's reply.

No one knew that a certain man was clenching his fist tightly wished to punch that bastard. Lu Jinnian's eyes were locked onto the woman who was now a prey.

Actually, this matter was quiet tricky. If Qian Luo agreed then people might think she agreed to 'sleep' with that disgusting man, but if she declined then there might be problem with the filming process.

Debating which option she should choose, Qian Luo stood up while holding her glass. At that very moment, Lu Jinnian had the impulse to strangle her to death.

"It's an honour of mine, Mr. Liu." she smiled before continueing "By this chance, I would like to thank all the crews, the investors, the actors and actresses, and most importantly director He. Thank you for allowing my creation to come alive." She then ellegantly put her glass on the table then took a bottle of wine and poured her glass full "Let me drink this glass to show my sincerity."

After she finished her line, she downed the whole glass which got applaused by the rest. By this action, she not only saved her dignity but also saved the disgusting man's face so he wouldn't have any reasons to withdraw his investation.
