Chapter 23 : First night

Both of them were a little startled when they realized that their conversation was not stiff and polite like how they usually had been. For the whole month, they met every day but they didn't look like married couple, or even friends.

However, after that hug, they seemed to get closer. They even teased each other. It seemed like the several days of being seperated made them fonder.

Han Zhi Fan admitted that his mind kept on thinking of her while he was overseas and it applied to Tang Wei as well. Therefore, when they saw each other, they couldn't help but hugged each other tightly.

After dinner, Tang Wei went to the master bedroom as she recently felt weaker after the following treatments so she would go to bed earlier than she used to be. As for Han Zhi Fan, he went to the study room and had a video conference with the higher-ups of overseas branch.

When he finished, it was already eleven o'clock. He walked to the master bedroom and found a figure laying on his bed. He walked closer and when he saw the woman, his eyes constricted. "Jiao jiao", he called softly. He suddenly felt the urge to apologize to the figure in front of him.

Tang Wei was a light sleeper so she faintly heard someone opened the door. Her eyes opened when she heard him call her. "Hmm.. What's wrong?", she asked him with her half-opened eyes.

Han Zhi Fan was brought back to his sense with her gentle voice. "Emm..nothing.. I just want to know whether you are asleep or not." He lied as he climbed to the bed and reflexively pulled her to his embrace. "Jiao jiao, I'm sorry."

Tang Wei was surprised by his actions but she didn't say it. She went along with him. "Emm..It doesn't matter."

By that reply, Tang Wei drifted to her slumber leaving the man beside her feeling so helpless. Han Zhi Fan felt that he had made a wrong move. He definitely knew that the woman in his embrace had always been able to ignite the fire within him, woke the beast nature of his, but he still made himself be in this predicament. For the past month accompanying her in the hospital, he often felt the flame inside him blazing fiercely.

He wanted to go and take a cold shower, but the woman in his embrace sleeping so soundly. He got no choice except closing his eyes while counting the sheeps hoping it could distract his mind.

That was how their first night went by. One was sleeping sweetly innocently, while the other was suffering great damage.

It took a long long time before he went to sleep, but it was not long after that the alarm rang. He felt that the woman in his embrace moved so he also opened his eyes. He didn't regret opening his eyes though he felt so sleepy since the scene that welcomed him warmed him up.

The woman in his embrace rubbed her eyes and her hair was messy, but her natural bare face was so captivating that he wished to lock her up in his mansion and not letting her out.

When Tang Wei realized that the man beside her was wide awake, she really wished to dig a hole and hid inside it and forever be there. 'How can I let my idol to see me in this state?' She really had the eager to knock her head to the wall.

"Awake?", Han Zhi Fan deep voice sounded like a melody to her ears.

She only nodded since she felt that they were so close to each other that he might be able to smell her morning breath if she opened her mouth. 'It is humiliating enough to let him see me so ungraceful.'

Tang Wei didn't realize the effect of Han Zhi Fan toward her. She who was cold and ignorant to her surroundings since the moment she found out her fake step-mother and step-sister started to be more like a twenty-one-year-old woman who could pout or had the feeling of maintaing the image in front of her idol.

"Let's go jogging, doctor Wu says that you have to keep your body fit.", Han Zhi Fan suggested before he got up from the bed and went to change his clothes leaving the woman in daze.

When Han Zhi Fan finished changing and went back from his walk-in closet, he found Tang Wei was still sitting on the bed. "What are you waiting for?"

"Can you just go yourself?", Tang Wei widened her two round eyes hoping that she could get some pity from Han Zhi Fan. The weather was cold so it was very suitable to lay on bed and she didn't want to leave the bed so soon.

"Change yourself or let me change it for you?", Han Zhi Fan asked evilly.

Tang Wei immediately rushed to change het clothes without delaying any seconds.
