Chapter 2 : Born to Be A Star (2)

Tang Wei had left early the next morning as she had an exam to attend on that day. Tang Wei had always got good grades since she was a child. Therefore, getting into the best university was like a piece of cake. Her classmates always called her as the business goddess as she would always be the top scorer, not only in the Business Major but also the whole university.

After exam, the sun would soon set. Tang Wei felt a little tired so she decided to go home as soon as possible to take a rest. After all, she had been so busy to shoot several scenes in the past few days, furthermore, it was shot in the cold weather. Who knew that she would be welcomed hysterically by Long Fei as soon as she got home.

"Wei wei, you are in the top search again"

Long Fei took her ipad to show it to her.

Tang Wei only looked at her with her no expression face while changing into her slippers before she took the ipad that Long Fei had been holding. She brushed through the articles as she walked to the sofa in the living room. She sat on it with her eyes still locked onto the articles.

All of the articles were about her as the scene stealer in a TV series that she took part in. She actually had forgotten that she had ever acted in this tv series as it was filmed a year ago and she only appeared in several scenes that she finished filming it in a day.

This TV series was the most anticiapting TV series of the year. It was adopted by a webnovel which always topped the hot rank. The actors and actresses in this TV series were all A-listed ones. The reason why she was able to take part in was because the director had ever worked with her and very pleased with her acting.

She looked at one of the photos and her eyes locked into a photo where she was wearing a white cotton dress, her curly black hair drapped over her shoulder. Under the photo, there were thousands of comments.

"Oh my god, my Wei Wei. She looks like a goddess from heaven."

"Scene stealer, definitely a scene stealer."

"Have you guys watched 'The Imperial Prisoner' episode 3? She was the assasin."

"She was born to be a star. She didn't act as the main character, but she could attract others with her severa-second scene."

"Do you guys realize that she played different characters in every drama, but she could potray each character very well?"

"She is just too amazing, she always becomes the hot topic although she isn't the main lead, but why does she never appear as main lead? Are all the cast directors blind?"

People might think it was a waste for a talented actress kept on taking small roles, yet they didn't know that since her eye-catching debut four years ago when she acted as a psychopath, she had received a lot of offers to act as a main lead, but all were declined by hers.

In the showbiz, sometimes it was better to keep a low-profile to avoid dangers. She liked to let others recognize her skills slowly and raise to fame rather than to be popular by sudden fame.

After all, she had confidence in herself that she would be able to top the search rank in every scene that she played because her objection was to be the hot topic all the time for 'that person' to look for her.

"Fei jie, make sure that my identity as Tang's daughter won't be found out by others no matter what."

She didn't need everyone to really know who she was. She only needed 'that person' to recognize her and looked for her because she really wanted to know for why 'that person' abandoned her.

"Okay, I will arrange it."

Tang Wei then handed the ipad to Long Fei. When Long Fei took over the ipad, she accidentaly touched Tang Wei's fingertips. She grabbed her hand instantly.

"Wei wei, why do your hands feel so cold?"

"Fei Jie, it is winter. Of course, it is cold."

"Is it? Then quickly take a warm bath, I will prepare a ginseng soup to warm your body."

"Trouble you"

During her warm bath, she was thinking of the fame that she got that night. She pondered whether this fame was a trap or not. Tang Wei knew that in the entertainment world, there were schemes anywhere. If she wasn't careful, then she might fall to someone's trap which would cause her lose her reputation or even life.

Although she was a signed artist under Tian Yi Entertainment where only talented artists were signed into and there was no history of misconduct incident of its artists, she still needed to guard herself. No matter what, not everyone would like the privileges that she got in Tian Yi Entertainment even thought she was only a C-listed artist who topped the search rank once in a while as a scene stealer.

As she cleaned herself, she found several bruises on her body which she thought that they were the results of yesterday's fighting scenes. She didn't care too much as she dried herself and put on the bathrobe. When she came out after changing, the ginseng soup had been prepared so Long Fei asked her to finish it while it's still warm.

Both Tang Wei and Long Fei were childhood friends so they had a lot of topics to talk about. In the middle of their conversation, Long Fei also told her about Father Tang's condition when she visited him in the afternoon. Tang Wei didn't react much toward that topic as usual, but she didn't avoid the topic this time. No matter what, Father Tang was still his father who loved her before he severed their ties when she got into the entertainment world.

Many might dream to be superstars, but for the elites, entertainers were lowly lives who live to entertain and please others. Moreover, there were a lot of celebrities who did the unspoken rules only to have a big backer.

Both Tang Wei and Long Fei had Tang Wei's carbonara for dinner. Since she was a child, Tang Wei lived like a princess who had everything prepared so cooking was her weakness. However, as her favourite food was carbonara, she learned to cook it from the professional chef which made her able to cook it deliciously. Long Fei was one of her carbonara's fans, thus Long Fei persuaded her to cook for their dinner tonight.

Around 9 p.m., Tang Wei felt tired and she went to bed. She had been feeling weak since a month ago as she had been filming as Xiao Shi which made her have a lot of fighting scenes, running scenes, crying scenes to scolding scenes. Those scenes drained a lot of energy, thus Tang Wei didn't think of checking herself to the doctor.However,  on that very night,she decided to see a doctor the next day.

She was feeling cold, but she sweat a lot through the night. She got out of bed and had a cup of water in the kitchen while browsing the internet. She typed "sweating during night" to find a traditional remedy. She scrolled down to look for the articles, but a title of an article caught her eyes. She clicked on it.
