22. Huo Family

The white wolf with its yellow eyes looked at the young miss and gradually, the malice in its eyes subsided. Huang Biren looked at the white wolf with surprise and wondered how it had gotten so powerful so quickly.

Huang Biren walked towards the white wolf and when she reached it, she put her hand on its head and rubbed its snow-white hair with love and care that surpassed the love she would have for a mere pet.

As the two were being all lovey-dovey, the wolf noticed that the first prince's body was gradually disappearing. It was shimmering in and out of existence. The wolf ran from the young miss in an attempt to stop whatever was happening. By the time it reached the body, it had completely disappeared.

The two looked at each other with confusion but there was nothing they could do.

They walked out of the room and in the corridors, Huang Biren saw bodies left and right, all beheaded by a single clean cut to the neck.

Huang Biren looked at the unsurprised white wolf and instantly knew that it was the culprit. She smiled at it and said nothing.

The two continued walking through the palace and when they reached the throne room, Huang's family members were already there and on the floor, hundreds of people were tied up with some of them on the brink of death. The people on the floor were members of the royal family and others from the four families.

Huang Biren walked towards the throne where her father was seated like a king. The feeling given off by patriarch Huang was that of an emperor who ruled worlds and his word was laws. All who obeyed thrived and those who opposed him died. It was as though patriarch Huang was born to rule all men.

The scene was made even better by having the former king of the Tinding kingdom kneeling in front of the throne with his entire family behind him with only the first prince being absent.

When the patriarch saw Huang Biren, he jumped off the throne and instantly, he already had Huang Biren in a tight hug.

"My daughter, Father is very sorry for this, If I had not been so busy, I would have destroyed these lowly creatures long ago saving you from this pain." said the patriarch.

Patriarch Huang went on to say more embarrassing words causing the entire room to be flubergasted. How was such a person able to give off such a kingly aura?

When the patriarch was done dotting on his daughter, he calmly walked towards the royal family and kicked the third prince. The prince was sent flying until he collided with a wall where he was flattened like a bug that had been stepped on. The royal family gasped in horror at the site but the members of the Huang family were not surprised by this because they knew that for patriarch Huang, his daughters were his heaven and earth, his greatest treasures, if anyone did anything to them, their fate would not be good at all.

The royal family all put their foreheads to the floor and began asking for forgiveness. Their voices were broken and shaking with fear.

When the white wolf saw this scene, its craving for power increased even further.

"Where is the Huo family?" these were the wolf's only thoughts. It had not forgotten how elder Huo Yuanjia of the Huo family had killed its mother.

It looked through the captives but saw no one from the Huo family except the servants.

It looked at Huang Biren who seemed to understand what it was looking for.

Huang Biren asked her family members and the answer was surprising. It turned out that the Huo family was just a branch family and their main family was very powerful to the extent that when an elder from the main Huo family asked the Huang family to let the Huo family off, the Huang family had no choice but to comply. Of course, just the Huo family elder would not have been enough for the Huang family to let the Huo family go. The two sides ended up having to settle the matter with a duel between the Huo family elder and an elder from the Huang family. Surprisingly, the Huang family elder lost the duel.

The Huang family had no choice but to let the Huo family off but with the condition that they leave the Tinding Kingdom. Just like that, the Huo family packed all their property and left the kingdom immediately under the protection of their elder.

When the wolf heard this, its eyes went red with rage and its claws pierced the hard floor tearing it apart as though it were a piece of cloth.

Patriarch Huang looked at the enraged wolf and was truly surprised. An animal he bought as a pet was able to somehow become this powerful.

He then thought about it further and concluded that his daughter must have fed it some precious herb.

The patriarch moved back to the throne and sat like a true king.

He looked at the ruling families before he calmly braided his right hand. When he brought it down as if chopping air, the heads of the ruling families all fell to the ground, they had all been beheaded.

"Take the royal family to the dungeons, they will be executed at high noon in front of all the citizens of the kingdom. Make sure to prepare a list of all their crimes .'said the patriarch as he got even more comfortable on the throne.
