Military Dog!

*Clank* *clank*

A small carriage was being pulled by 2 horses. An old man sat as he kept the horses on the road.

"Sir, we will be arriving at our destination soon." The old man said.

"Oke Albert, you stay here. I will go take a look ahead." A voice came from inside the Carriage before a man stepped out. He was wearing a blue cloak with a head full of blue hair. contrasted by his dark red eyes that seemed to peer into your soul.

"Yes sir." Albert said before focusing pulling the horses to the side of the road and letting feast on the grass as he gave them some water.

The blue haired man walking ahead, every few minutes he will look to his right or left, his eyes scanning for something.

After walking about 10 kilometers ahead he felt a piercing gaze on him

'Someone is watching me.' he thought but did not let it show and kept going his natural pace he had been doing before. A few minutes later he saw a young man with pitch black hair who had collapsed on the road.

The blue haired man looked at the boy as he conjured a small ball of water and let it splash on the boys fame, waking him up.

"Ah! CAN A MAN GET SOME DAMN SLEEP!" The boy shouted as he jumped to his feet.

"You can, but i think you forgot the bed..." The blue haired man said in a dull voice.

"Ah who ar-" The boy saw him and panicked a bit

"And the blanket too, next time bring that with you."

"You a-"

"A few pillows would also make it more comfortable sleeping."

"Can you let me s-"

"And a house as well, while were at it."

"..."

"..."

"So who are yo-"

"That was all i wanted to say." The blue haired man once more interrupted him as a small smile crept up his lips.

"Ya done making fun of me now?" The black haired man said a bit speechless.

"People call me Sage, now who may you be, outdoor sleeper?"

"My name is Raze, thanks for the...'somewhat' rude awakening.." Raze said as he stretched his hand forward.

Sage looked at his hand and then at him. "I will make sure to not wake you up the next time, maybe the animals and bandits can wake you up better than i did." he said, nothing the twitching eyebrow of the boy as he grinned and held his hand.

Just as Raze was about to shake Sage's hand, a ball of Water shot out from Sage.

*BOOM*

*SPLASH*

"Finally found you, Trevor the Butcher." Sage said as 3 water balls floated around him. From the tall grass a bulky man with a sword on his back came forward.

"Who are you and why do you keep tailng me." Trevor said as a small grey cup floated in front of him.

"Trevor "Butcher" Hendrickson, 3 weeks ago you deserted the military, in your escape you annihilated a village underway. 26 elderly, 60 young ones, 10 babies and 203 grownups. All dead." Sage said as he voice grew cold.

"So you are a dog of the military, humpf, I will not be forced to fight for those nobles who treat our lives as trash." Trevor said as the cup started shining and a red fluid shot out of it at Sage. who changed a water ball into a shield to block it, resulting in a explosion.

Blaze felt cold sweat on his back, did this man know he deserted too? However his thoughts were soon put to rest as Sage spoke

"I don't care that you deserted, but i do care about the 299 lives you took. Redemption will always follow the wicked. I just took upon myself to give it to you as i was free."

"Who do you think you are! I AM NOT GOING TO BE JUDGED BY THE LIKES OF YOU!" Trevor shouted as golden fluid came out of his cup.

"You have wasted enough oxygen already, every breath you take is a breath that someone who needs it could take instead." Sage's eyes grew cold as the 2 balls of water dashed forward in a blur, dodging the golden fluid and piercing Trevor in the chest and head. While his shield blocked the golden fluid, resulting in a massive explosion.

"AHHHHH" Raze screamed as a drop of the fluid landed on his arm, resulting into a small explosion the almost cut his arm off.

Sage instantly conjured 4 more balls of water and made them soak Raze's wounded arm in it before they gave a slight green light.

"Sorry, it seems like i underestimated that last attack and some got past it." Sage said as he saw Raze's arms growing back the lost tissue while the rest connected themselves. In a few seconds the arm was as good as new.

"It is good that you are weak, if you were stronger it would have been harder to heal." Sage let out a sigh of relief.

"If i was stronger, i would not be in this condition." Raze said as he stood back up. He looked at Raze and then at Trevor's dead body and then back at Sage.

"Can i come with you?" Raze said as he locked eyes with sage, who looked at him with some surprise before replaying with a firm

"No."

He then turned and left, Raze just looked at him speechless and followed him.

"What a coincidence, it seems like our destination are in the same directions." Raze grinned as he looked at the Sage who said nothing but sped up his footsteps a bit.

'Like hell i am letting go of a wannabe hero, at least until i am out of this Empire.'

Raze was aware that anyone who saw him and his age will know he is a deserter. He also is certain that Sage knew that he was almost 14 or already 14. But he did nothing to him,

'Which means he is either not from this Empire, or he is a deserter himself.'

Not long afterwards they arrived near the Carriage with Raze panting while Sage just went inside.

"Let's go back Albert, my Vacation took long enough."

"What about this boy sir?" Albert looked at Raze with a kind smile seeing his ragged clothes.

"Just ignore him." Sage said before turning quiet.

"Very well." Albert then proceed to go on the carriage and make the horses move.

Raze panicked before running after it, the horses were not going that fast but at this speed he would be out of breath in just a few minutes.

He then ran fast near the carriage and pulled himself up before sitting near Albert.

"There we go, was getting tired from all that walking." Raze grinned as he looked at Albert. Who in turn just smiled and did nothing else.

'Oh? seems like ignoring me, does not mean kicking me out.' Raze then looked outside for once since he left the village. The tall grassland was definitely a beautiful place. The wind rustles through the grass while the insects make sounds and birds chirping.

"This is such a beautiful world, if only humans could enjoy it more instead of fighting amongst themselves." Raze said as he enjoyed the view. Albert glanced at him for a few seconds before looking at the grassland.

"It indeed is." He said faintly, making it impossible for Raze to hear, but Sage did and his face had a small smile lit up on it.

'He is just like you, leader.' Sage thought before closing his eyes.

And so they trio and 2 horses made their way towards the unknown, for Raze that is.
