CH:19 Picking Herbs

Wei Shal think that it was never a good idea to rush into things like this, so Lin Fan chose the F Rank herb collection mission in the end.

It's a simple mission and the location is at the corner of the City in a forest and the herbs are also easy to find. Not to mention that this paid quite well for a F Rank mission, which was what Wei Shal cared about the most.

After taking this mission and registering it at the counter, Wei Shal headed out of the Mercenary Guild.

After leaving the Mercenary Guild, Wei Shal headed out the same gate that they had entered through yesterday.

Now that he had received his Mercenary License, that was no longer a problem while entering or leaving this city. He didn't have to pay any tax while entering this city.

That was one of the benefits of registering as a mercenary, the license that you received was recognized as a legal ID in most cities. In most cases, they even allowed you to avoid paying the city entrance fees.

That was if you entered alone and didn't have much luggage with you. If you did have a lot of luggage, you would be charged the normal tariff, but just the Mercenary License also made it much easier for you to enter the city since the guards would usually skip the check of your goods.

It just went to show how much influence the Mercenary Guild had, even most cities recognized it and gave those that registered with the Mercenary Guild special privileges.

Before leaving the Mercenary Guild, Wei Shal had made sure to pick up one of the free maps that the Mercenary Guild offered. As well, before he left, Lily had helped him by marking down the location of the herb that he was looking for on his map, so it didn't take him long before he reached the area.

As soon as he arrived, the first thing that hit him was the smell of herbs.

Then when he came closer, he was able to find the herbs that he was looking for just by looking down. When he looked around, he found that the herbs for this mission were all around him and it wouldn't take him long to collect all of them.

This really was a mission that was suited for beginners, the herbs were this easy to find and there were so many of them, it really would be hard to fail this mission.

Of course, what he didn't know was that the reason why this mission had such a high reward was because these herbs had a fickle blooming cycle. No one knew exactly what caused these herbs to bloom, but they bloomed randomly, so it all depended on one's luck.

Speaking of Wei Shal luck which is 4. It seems it is working well.

While picking herbs Wei Shal was thinking about how to make Alena ready for dual cultivation.

Wei Shal mainly picks her so that both of them can Cultivate together which will help both of them.
