Looking at my improvements I was really proud of myself, I worked my ass of for 10 straight days just for this.
I walked in to the gym to check my height and weight and I was pretty surprised, I used to be 1.76m and weighed about 67kg but now I was a whopping 1.80 metres tall and weighed 70kg.

And I was back in my room the same way and time I left, except I was way different.
I didn't really bother about my family suspecting anything, I attended the Pepsi academy in Lagos state but my Family lived in Ebonyi state, when I was injured I had to go back to Ebonyi state to stay with my parents so I could recover faster.
I come from a family of 5 members i.e my dad, my mom and 3 children I was the middle one, I had an older sister and a younger brother, their names Chima angel and Chima kelechi respectively, my Dad's name was Boniface Chima, he was a civil servant and my mom Grace Chima was a teacher, we weren't exactly rich but we weren't poor either, they tried their best to provide the best they could afford for us.
My uncle whom I stayed with in Lagos was the person who suggested I join the football academy and brought me back to Lagos with him, there I stayed with him and his daughter as his wife had passed away some years ago, my uncle wasn't around alot as he was a wealthy but busy business man, so I spent a lot of time with with Emilia my cousin, but got admitted to the Lagos state university about 3 years ago so I got used to being home alone most of the time, I guess my uncle felt a bit guilty about my accident since he was the one who brought me to Lagos to play football, so ever since I came back to Lagos a year ago, I pretty much never lacked anything.
In my last life my uncle Richard was the most regretful when I handed in my withdrawal letter from the academy, since he felt like I could make it as a pro and even my coaches in the academy felt same before my accident.
But now no more regrets because I am back and better.
I decided to call my dad on my way to the kitchen to get some human food to eat.
After few seconds the call got through, "ehhhn Didi how are you doing??"
Didi was my nickname at home, I didn't really like it but my elder sister started calling that and it stuck.
"Daddy am fine, am calling because of what we discussed yesterday"
"So tell me, what is your decision???" I could tell that my dad really wanted me to focus on my education, he never really watched football unless it was the Nigerian national team playing but my mom kinda supported me, she believed in doing what you believed you are good at even if it wasn't school.
"Well I decided to give it one more year, my birthday is 7th of October, so I'll be 18 in two months, so if after a year it does work out, I will write JAMB and enter the university I will be 19 next year so I still have time" I replied.
"Okayoo if that is your decision, no problem I will tell your mother but remember just one year and also keep revising your books Incase you have to write the JAMB next year"
"Alright, thank you sir greet mommy and kelechi for me"
"No problem, tell your uncle am sending my greetings okay, ngwa bye bye"
"Bye bye sir" I replied before cutting the call.
I took a deep breath as I knew I had gotten his permission, but I had only one year.
I wasn't really worried as Pepsi had organised scouts from some low level leagues to visit their academies in Africa, so this was my chance to go pro and I wasn't going to miss it for anything in the world, plus I had the system so I was feeling really confident.
I had my meal and decided to go to sleep, the system training was really stressful.
After eating I had a nap, when I woke up and went down stairs, I heard Emilia's voice she was talking with someone else.
"Emilia good afternoon, kehinde how far" I greeted them
Kehinde was Emilia's best friend even though one was Igbo and the other Yoruba, in my past life I had a huge crush on her but nothing ever happened between us, she was about 23 years, my cousin Emilia used to tease me for it.
"Mhmm Didi" Emilia replied.
"Didi you have grown tall abi, and you are now telling me how far" kehinde quipped in.
"It's true oh, bia Didi what are you now eating see how ya growing tall, oh you even have six packs sef," Emilia said referring to my abs as I had come downstairs with a shirt on.
"It's been just 2 weeks since I last came home and he now has six packs" she said to kehinde.
"Am just exercising more since I heard scouts are going to come to the academy, I want to be selected."
Kehinde immediately asked "Didi what of your leg, is it no longer paining you." At the same time Emilia turned her to look at me also waiting for my answer.
"No oh!!, Am not feeling any pain again, so am try my best to get back in form" I replied.
"Oya na, no problem but be careful so you will not injure yourself again oh", I just smiled and nodded my head, I could feel the genuine concern from Emilia's voice after all I had always been like her little brother.
I went to the living room and started watching movies on the tv while chatting with kehinde, some hours later I heard Emilia's voice, " Didi come let's eat it's already 8pm."
I stood up and went to the dining table with kehinde to join her and after the meal, I went up to my room had my bath and lay down on my bed.
