Training's Second Start

The conversation that had ended served as both a proper way to come closer to one of the members of the 3rd division but also as a way to pass the time as he healed. After Brock had left Bultear's recuperating did not take too long after that. The conversation with Fjoroft, that was nowhere near as heavy, was soothing and helpful in its own way. As he talked about his mundane days as a janitor at the Emsdor academy Bultear got a small sense of Fjoroft's character; he was calm, serious man. Fitting of a man in a high position such as a captain of one of E.S.O.P's main fighting units. What Bultear also got a small sense of was the dynamic between the two standing behind Fjoroft: Sinthia and Pax. Pax would try converse with Sinthia while slightly turned towards her then, when he realizes her lack of response, would stop, scratch his head, chuckle awkwardly a little bit before looking to the side with a look that showed how much energy it took out of him. This together with the smell that he was picking up from him presented Bultear with a simple conclusion: He has romantic feelings that she is not reciprocating, either because she was oblivious or pretending.

'Funny, Mr. I can brainwash people by speaking is in love. I wonder if he'll be able to endear himself to her after he gets his shit kicked in by me.'

Bultear was completely unwilling to forgive or remotely let Pax off the hook for what he did to him back then. Thinking back to how he had revealed sensitive information Bultear could do nothing other than to be completely puzzled by the utter lack of reaction from the higher-ups at E.S.O.P. Be it Safir, Fjoroft or even Pax, all of them were acting as if he never said anything out of the ordinary.

'Many things could have led to them acting this way: They received orders from Safir to keep quiet about it, they don't think that it's too big of a deal or just maybe something supernatural affected them. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if that ends up being the case. No matter what the case may be, the mystery that I represent is more than enough for E.S.O.P to keep me close to them. Otherwise Safir would not concede so readily to my extortion.'

The wooden cocoon slowly lost its luster as it fell apart revealing a completely healthy and energetic Bultear; the vines not only healed him but also cleaned the sweat and dirtiness of him. The conversation ended when Sinthia left to get some food for the recuperating Bultear. After eating the the chicken breast with a side of potatoes; a meal the Bultear of a few days ago could never hope to afford. A stuffed, healed, satisfied Bultear then trailed off into sleep.

Early in the morning Bultear woke up with a spring in his step.

"Good morning Bultear, ready to again?"

"Yes Sir, I'm ready to go."

An energetic Bultear answered Fjoroft while standing up from the bed. Rhen he followed him out of the infirmary and down the stairs back into the colosseum where the rejuvenated and fully healed Milek along with Sinthia and Pax awaited.

"It's payback time for yesterday."

Said the widely smiling Milek who seemed as if the shame of yesterday was healed along with his wounds.

"No, this time the training will be led by Sinthia with Pax. Milek you will come with me to observe."

Before Milek could even revel in the chance to get back at Bultear, his parade was promptly rained on by Fjoroft.

"..."

He obediently followed Fjoroft as he new that any words spoken at this point would be used as ammunition to further mock him. Seeing Sinthia move up with Pax behind her Bultear thought of two problems.

'To be honest, I'd rather face Milek than her. She seems much more unhinged of a sparring partner than Milek. Also, I decided to keep my so-called Sigmund attack a secret which, in retrospect, was pointless since I'd have to reveal it to them eventually.. Whatever, I'll just oblivious when I eventually do reveal it... well, I first have to learn how to do it in the first place.'

The flashing thoughts did not stop from sporting a fresh, brisk smile when his eyes met Pax's.

'One thing's for certain; This training session I'll like much more.'
