2 Awakening

Chapter 2

As the awakening ceremony began Eric like the other students walked toward the school field worriedly.

They were met with a large and majestic array formation when they arrived at the school field.

A middle-aged man walked out of the array. He stood in front of the group and swept his gaze over them.

"Hello, everyone. I am the host of this awakening ceremony. Please line up in an orderly manner and wait for the activation of the array!"

The students were deeply excited and looked fervently at the array's center.

"I'm so nervous, the awakening is about to begin!"

"I hope that the heavens will bless me with a slightly better talent!"

"I heard that being the host of the awakening ceremony is extremely profitable!"

"Of course, such an important matter like the awakening ceremony isn't something that just anyone can host."

...

"I wonder what level of talent this host has."

"Someone who can host such a ceremony must have a high-level talent!"

Eric waited quietly in the crowd, ignoring the chattering around him.

Very soon, one person walked out of the group and attracted the attention of everyone present here.

She was none other than the school's belle and number one on skywalk highschool beauty ranking.

She wore a blue one piece dress,and her long,black and luscious hair fluttered in the air although there was no breeze.

Her snowy-white skin tempted endless thoughts, and her gorgeous facial features intoxicated everyone present.

Under everyone's gaze, Elina walked into the array.

When the awakening ceremony began, the students were all discussing her spiritedly.

"She is so sexy"

"What are you thinking about? Not only is she from a wealthy family, with a beautiful appearance and figure, even her academic and sports results are top-notch!"

"That's right. Since she is so outstanding, I reckon that we won't have a chance."

"That might not be the case. What if she awakens an unrated talent? Won't we have a chance then?"

"Tsk, you impudent toad!"

Very soon, Elina walked out of the array formation.

Elina's expression was unperturbed. It wasn't possible to tell if the outcome was good or bad.

With a shocked and unbelieveable expression, the host gave a sign as he glanced at the principal and with amazing speed covered his expression before he announced loudly.

"Awakened, Elina. The awakened talent is the Frost light. The talent level is an A!"

The moment these words were said, the entire place was in an uproar!

"Whoa, an actual A-level talent! This is too ridiculous!"

"An A-level talent? There aren't many in the entire school! Her future IS BRIGHT!"

"Sheesh, I've given up completely. It's impossible for us to have a chance anymore."

"I'm so envious. An A-level talent will most definitely be society's ace in the future, an existence that everyone looks up to!"

"Why am I only F-level? Why!"

Some of the students below the stage were envious, some jealous, and some regretful.

When Elina walked down from the stage, they all revealed plastered smiles and congratulated her.

"Congratulations, congratulations."

"As expected of the school Belle, she will definitely achieve great things in the future!"

"Congratulations, Elina, for awakening an A-level talent. When you become rich in the future, don't forget us old classmates."

Elina ignored them and returned to her seat.

"I've awakened E grade swordsman,it's an offensive talent"

" Look at you , I awakened a F grade ability crusher"

" Am now an elemental, cause my talent is earth devastator e grade "

" Bro, you are so cool, lucky you, I awakened an F grade ability house cleaner"

" What kind of dog shit talent is that "

Just as Eric was in deep thought the awakening ceremony ended, It was the last students turn.

Everyone had high expectations for him,as he was one of the most brilliant student in school, although "one of" they were only two, both from 8 grade class two

Eric walked towards the array formation nervously, at this moment his fate was to be decided. A carp that will never leap through the dragon gate or a dragon that will soar the heavens.

While the crowd were debating which kind of talent he'll awaken. Eric had already arrived at the center of the platform as the array lit up.

The array mages controlled the awakening crystal in their hands to transfer energy into the platform

But strangely enough, although no one could see it the energy was absorbed by the strange crystal pendant around Eric's neck.

The array mage closed his eyes to feel the energy, only for his face to form a frown after not being able to sense any energy fluctuations on Eric body .

Eric noticed the array mage frown and his heart couldn't help but skip a beat , as it began to rapidly beat.

A mechanical emtionless voice was heard

"Talent: none"

"Elemental affinity: none"
