Shadow movement

While they were walking, Rokene remained silent while listening to Jupiter go on about the kingdom.

"It's a pretty nice place to live honestly. The king Jethro is a good man, but his son Julius is a real prick. He acts as if he's the best thing to ever happen to the kingdom. He's actually quite powerful with his light magic, but since it's a rare aptitude, he believes that everyone is basically below him. That paired with his feeling of entitlement due to the fact that he's the prince of one of the most powerful kingdoms, makes him a real ass."

After hearing this, Rokene's interest was piqued. "Does he have any other aptitudes?" He asked curiously. "Nobody has more than one magic aptitude." She said with a confused expression. "If they did, then they would be considered a god. And nobody has ever been recorded having more than one. Do you know nothing about the world you live in?"

Rokene was a little annoyed after hearing her condescension, but that information made him realize that he must be really unique. Besides the fact that he actually came from another world.

"Well, I must be a god then, because I have multiple magic aptitudes." He said with a devilish smile. "Are you high?" She asked. It was clear that she didn't believe that this strange little demon could be that powerful.

"It's the truth. I'll show you." Rokene had no interest in hiding his power, plus he really wanted an excuse to try his shadow movement spell out as well. "You already saw me use one type of magic. Now let me show you what else I can do."

He pointed his fingers at a large tree that was standing 30ft away and a couple drops of water formed in front of his fingers. They shot out at an incredible speed and destroyed a decent amount of the tree with their power.

"Was that a water spell?" Jupiter asked with a little excitement. Rokene just grinned at her and then opened his hand while still facing it in the direction of the tree. A ball of fire launched from his palm and started to set the tree on fire. At this point, Jupiter was completely dumbstruck.

He showed her the earth shield as well, which made Jupiter start to wonder if she was actually dreaming all this up. "Now, I have one more spell that I haven't been able to test just yet, but I believe it will make you shit yourself if it's what I think it is." He said.

She didn't think he could really surprise her anymore at this point, but her jaw immediately dropped when she saw what he did next.

Rokene closed his eyes and began to focus on his shadow. At that moment, he could feel himself dropping through the ground and his feet finally stopping once his whole body had disappeared. He opened his eyes and could see everything around him, but it had a slight darkness to it. Almost as if the sun had dimmed.

Then he decided to try going behind Jupiter. She was looking around, trying to figure out where he had disappeared too, but all she saw was a small shadow moving past her. Once he reached that spot, he focused on his body in the shadow and could feel himself rising and arriving on the solid earth.

Jupiter turned around, and when she saw him, she fainted. Rokene was about to catch her, but decided not too at the last moment. She hit the ground with a loud thud, but he paid no attention to her. He was consumed with thought about how useful that spell could be. "I wonder if it will only work during the day when I actually have a shadow. That's a fair restriction I suppose." He thought to himself.

If nobody has more than one aptitude besides me, then maybe I can become the god of this strange world. He decided to take a look at his status while he waited for Jupiter to regain consciousness, and that's when he finally saw it. His main objective. "Become the supreme ruler of this world"

At that point, he knew that this world would belong to him, because he was finally something special. His dreams of an exciting life where he held power beyond imagination had finally come to fruition. He just needed to train and level up everything, so that nobody could ever look down on him. He would become the demon god of this world and everyone would bow at his feet.
