4 Kill & Targets

In the faculty room, Erix was dressing up Rin's wound on the left of her forehead.

"I knew you would come for me," Rin said with a sweet smile as she wrapped her arms around Erix. "Come on, remove that mask and let me kiss you. You know how much I've missed you."

"Things would've been different if you had slept at my place yesterday like usual," Erix sighed as he almost finished dressing the wound. "Though I don't know if I should call it bad or boon."

"Why are you saying that?" Rin said with a pout. "Aren't we both fine?"

Erix caressed Rin's right cheek with his hand and sighed. But suddenly, his ears perked up as he heard some footsteps.

"Someone's coming. Wait here," Erix said as he stood up. 'But why? Did that coward rat me out?'

"I'll cover for you," Rin picked up one of the guns Erix put on the ground and stood up with him.

"Let me handle it," Erix said as he pressed Rin's chest with his palm and gently pushed her back as he could control his newfound strength. "I want to test my durability."

After saying that, Erix quickly dashed out of the faculty room, causing Rin to curse under her breath with a worried expression.

The two police officers were already cautious because they saw their colleagues' dead bodies and were moving slowly with guns pointing at the front.

However, they were startled to see a man with a face hidden by a mask coming out of the faculty room.

"Don't move, or we will shoot you!"

"Shoot," Erix laughed. "Shoot, or you will die."

*Phat!*

One policeman fired with an angry expression.

The bullet flew quickly and hit his chest. However, it didn't even pierce the robe, making Erix surprised. 'So this Black-Star robe can block bullets? Hmm, but I think there should be a limit. Maybe it can block from small guns but not from big guns?'

The two policemen were shocked after seeing that the bullets did not affect him. However, Erix didn't entertain them anymore and manipulated his dagger to kill them since they were within 10 meters of him.

They managed to shoot two more times, but none of the bullets hurt him.

"But I wanted to kill those trash, Felix and his father," Rin's expression was frosty.

"And you, how long are you planning to wear that mask? I want a kiss!" Rin said as she stretched her hand to remove the mask, but Erix grabbed her hand.

"Close your eyes."

'This is not zombie infection according what i am feeling. This power...' Erix internally nodded. It was safe to kiss.

"Ok," Rin nodded as she closed her eyes.

Erix removed his mask as he looked at Rin with her eyes closed. His face looked pale, but spotless with his usual handsomeness increasing by a notch due to his Hybrid zombie transformation. His eyes looked a bit scary, but he was far cry from the usual zombies.

He leaned forward and kissed Rin's lips after closing his eyes.

Rin then opened her eyes and was startled. "Why is your skin so pale? Did something happen?"

Erix's eyes were still closed, so Rin still hadn't seen his eyes.

"Rin… I am no longer a pure human but something else," Erix said as he slowly opened his eyes, revealing his black eyes with dark red cranky irises. "I am a half-human and a half-zombie."

Rin's mouth was wide open in shock, "No wonder I was feeling your body temperature colder than normal."

She rubbed Erix's cheek and chuckled. "Whatever, as long as you are alive."

Rin then leaned forward and embraced Erix with her head resting on his chest, "Your heart is not beating as well… It's true. You are dead but alive. What is this miracle?"

Rin's eyes shone with curiosity, but she suddenly remembered something and grabbed Erix's crotch. "Wait, don't tell me..."

"Eh…" Erix wryly smiled and shook his head. "It can stand up. I have a life force in me, but it circulates uniquely now. Not with heart and blood but something called Life Orb, which provides energy to my body and maintains all body functions and brain."

"Phew…then we're good. Otherwise, we would have to go on a quest to fix that first in this changing world,"Rin said as she hugged Erix with a peaceful smile. It was their regular routine to have sex after fighting each other for classes.

"Haha," Erix laughed as he slapped her butt, "You are a naughty teacher, but I share the same sentiments."

"Humph, it's your fault. I was an innocent martial artist until you became my student," Rin pouted before she chuckled and kissed him again.

"Well, your new look is not bad. You look more handsome now."

"Yep. This is nice," Rin nodded with a smile. She looked at her status and could also look at Erix's status with his permission after they formed a team. "We are both level 5, but you have more stats than me. Tsk, I also want to become a hybrid zombie like you."

Erix ruefully smiled.

"If there's a safe way to do it, then sure. But no need to take the risk of getting scratched or bitten by a zombie. Nothing happened to you even we kissed, so this magic zombie infection seem to spread from scratches and bites from them."

"Also, how much mystic essence are you short of reaching 100?" Erix asked.

Rin checked and answered. "I need 74 mystic essences more for class awakening."

"Mhmm…. Although a bit risky, we have no choice. Let's go out of the campus through the back gate. Kanel told me there are mutated creatures there."

"Yeah, since there's empty land and a forest-like area after that, there are many animals and insects. If they mutated..." Rin grinned and continued, "Let's hunt them and get powerful. After that, we will come back here and kill those bastards. Especially Felix. I'll torture him."

Rin clenched her fist in anger. She wasn't going to leave without killing that piece of trash.

"Alright. I also need to deal with that rat, Kanel. I told him to stay quiet, but he went and ratted out instead."

Rin was ruthless, just like Erix, and although there was an age gap of 4 years between them, Rin being four years older, both had great chemistry between them ever since they met almost three years ago.

"Let's go."

Both of them quickly ran towards the bathroom area in the building and jumped out of the side path since there were three ways to get into each campus building.

Afterward, they sneakily and quickly moved towards the back exit of the campus and left.
