1 1. Golden Piggy Card

Silver Leaf Town, Inside an old villa,
"Stop your fake study. You are not meant for magic." A cold tone disturbed Kent who is trying to study the basic-level magic spell.
Kent adjusted his glasses and turned his gaze towards the beautiful woman before him. She is Thea Frost, his promised bride. She is five years older than him and works as an elder in the same wizard school where Kent studies.
Kent is matched with Thea by her grandmother who adopted Kent. Last year, their grandmother died and from that moment his nightmare began.
"What are you staring at… get up." Thea interrupted his thoughts and shut the spell book before him.
"Wifey, what happened?" Kent questioned with a pale face. Even though Thea dislikes him from the start, she never forced him like today.
"Your leaching days are over Kent. As my promise to grandmother, I fed you until you are an adult. Today is your 18th birthday. So, find some work and feed yourself from now on. Also, leave the Villa in a few days, I'm selling it soon." Thea declared in a harsh tone without considering his feelings.
"But, Thea I'm your hubby. Where can I go?" Kent asked innocently without taking Thea's words to heart.
"You useless piece of shit, stop calling me wifey. No one marries a loser like you. All you want a sugar momma, go find one." Thea cursed as she took back the spell book from Kent.
Even though Kent became angry, he kept silent without uttering a single word. His adopted grandmother took a promise from Kent to always love Thea in any situation. Her last words were still fixed in his heart.
In the next five minutes, Kent stood outside the door with his old tattered bamboo bag. Thea locked the door and went back to the villa to call for her pet.
(Bamboo bags are like storage rings. Inside the bag, magic circles were laid to store large-sized objects. Based on the number of inscriptions, the space inside the bamboo bag varies. Kent's bag contains only two rings of space. One for food and the other for spell books.)
Kent didn't have any pets to carry him to the Wizard school. He continued to walk down the road with a depressed face. He is thinking about what part-time jobs he could get from his 3rd class Magus level.
Just as he reached the wizard school entrance, two bald eagles landed forcefully before him.
'Ahh~' Kent fell back on the road hardly. In the next second, his elbow began bleeding.
"Hey Kent, where are my coins? You said you would pay up today." A lady with a plump bosom demanded ignoring the bleeding elbow of Kent.
Kent slowly stood while blocking the bleeding elbow with bare hand. "I don't have any coins now. Give me a few days. I'm going to part-time work from today and I will definitely pay up as soon as possible." Kent replied while blowing his burning elbow.
"That's not our deal. You should pay up today. It's just 20 bronze coins… don't you have any parents for pocket money?" Mona questioned in a mocking tone.
"Mona, let's go… I know that he is a pauper without any backing. We need to go on a date after classes. Let's hurry." The fat young man named Ric, who sat on another bald eagle spoke while staring at Mona's milk bags.
Kent felt like beating the two love birds before him. He knows that Mona's family is not a rich family. But to get on with rich heirs like Ric, she always displays her sizes in tight clothes.
"Hmmhh… Kent, I don't know what you do, you should pay by today evening. Otherwise, I will complain to the elders." Mona warned before taking the flight.
Ric purposefully stopped in the air above Kent and disturbed all the dust and trash on the road. With a mocking laughter the evil pair left towards school.
Just as they left, Thea's eagle passed beside him. Thea stared at him mockingly and left without looking back.
Kent felt despair while staring at Thea who completely shattered his pride. He came to stop before a large stone tablet at the school gate.
"Sky Family Wizard School…" The letters were embedded deep inside the rock by a Master level wizard.
Kent's gaze lingered on the school name. His fists clenched in anger. For the last two years, he stayed in the same 3rd class Magus section. It is his 3rd year in the same class. His classmates already surpassed him for a long time and he alone struggling with his juniors.
Actually, Kent is not a lazy disciple. From the first day of school, he always worked hard to become a successful Magus. But for some odd reason, his meridians couldn't hold much aura at a time.
Even though his grandmother showed him to several healers, no one could clearly pinpoint Kent's problem.
Kent sighed and turned away from the school gate to find some work in the town.
While moving on the narrow empty streets, Kent got busy thinking about where could he find some work.
Suddenly a gust of wind pushed him back and a large raven which is in the size of two adult humans landed before Kent.
"Nooo… don't eat me… don't eat me." Kent shirked in fear as he hurriedly moved back with his eyes closed.
The raven has crimson evil eyes, sharp feathers, and golden claws. Raven clutched Kent to the ground without giving him any chance to escape.
But even after a long time, the raven didn't attack Kent as he expected. While controlling his shaking limbs, Kent slowly opened his eyes to see why he is still alive.
His gaze landed on the silver beak of the Raven. For some odd reason, the Raven is staring at his face with a scrutinising gaze. As Kent's gaze met with the Raven's crimson eyes, his heart began racing with fear.
'Akk…. Akkk… kkk…'
The black Raven began making coughing sounds and in the next instance, a crystal ball appeared on its beak. The Raven slowly bent down its head, gesturing Kent to pick up the sky blue colour crystal ball.
Even though Kent was baffled, he slowly stretched his shaking hand and picked up the crystal ball from its beak. These crystal balls were the communications devices used in the Wizard world. From the looks of it, Kent already identified it as the latest model sky crystal released by Golden Cape Wizard Hall.
Just as Kent grabbed the sky crystal with both hands, the crystal vibrated with an incoming message. The image shown on the crystal ball belongs to a middle-aged woman, who still has youthful looks.
"Hi…" Kent greeted in a confused tone.
In the next second the lady's eyes filled with tears and with an emotional tone she spoke "Kent, do you remember me? I'm your aunt."
Kent was shocked. For instance, he thought someone is playing tricks on him for fun. But the tears in the woman's eyes were not fake. The lady's emotional outbreak let Kent believe in her.
'Grandmother said I didn't have any relatives. Then where is this aunt coming from? She called my name directly. That means she definitely looking for me.' Kent's thoughts ran wild as couldn't digest this sudden twist in his life.
"Kent, I'm really sorry. I should have found you a little early. But I promise you that from now onwards, I will really make up for my mistake.
Due to our enemies, I couldn't meet you personally. Soon, I will clear all the problems and meet in person. There is a Piggy card in Raven pouch, I have deposited 5000 gold coins in it. It's for your pocket money. If you spend it all, just send me one message. Your mom left a fortune for you. I will tell you all the details when I meet you personally. Love You, Kent."
The woman's image faded out on the sky ball and Kent finally believed that he really had a relative in this world.
While the Raven still stood steadily before him, Kent controlled his fear and inserted his hand inside the feathery pouch of the Raven.
