29 Training - Endurance

"Truly, the Long-Fall Pass forest harbor thousands of monster beast. If we don't have the locals. We probably are dead by now." A female adventurer whispered, shivering slightly.

"Yes. How could these people survive in such a dangerous place." The burly man shook his head. "Why won't the monster beast attack the city. They're just too many and fierce." He added.

"The Long-Fall forest had been the bane of adventurers. That the Long-Fall Pass was established in the first place. The adventurers' organization wanted to explore the forest. But their idea was for nut. These beasts are just too fierce and unrestrained, forcing people away from their environment." The captain responded.

"But with the new development in the city. Can they possibly hold up this time" The female asked, raising her brow? She stared at the few people in the street and shook her head.

"That is hard to say. But it would be difficult." The captain raised his head and looked at the sky. "It getting dark. Let's move."

"Yeah, let's move. I'm scared to spend the night in this city after witnessing those fierce beasts." The burly man answered quickly.

"I thought we were spending three days in the city." The female looked at the captain and the burly man. "Are we going to waste that money?"

"You can choose to sleep in the city. However, I'm leaving. Besides, our harvest was more than enough for our loss." The captain announced seriously, jumping on his horse.

The burly man looked at the female adventurer for a moment. He open his mouth but eventually close his mouth and jumped on his horse. Seeing this, the female rolled her eyes. 'How could these two be so scared of the beast. Aren't people leaving in the city?'

Howl!

Suddenly, a thunderous howl echoed deep from the forest. The three adventurers looked in the forest direction and panicked. Without further ado, the female adventurer jumped on her horse.

"What are you waiting for!" She snapped. "Let go!"

"Please adventurers, don't go yet." A middle-aged man shouted, rushing toward them.

They turn and looked at the middle-aged man. The captain furrows his brow. 'Why did this man stop us. Are we not allowed to leave the city again?'

"Why?" The captain asked with an icy voice.

"Nothing much. We hope you escort our merchant toward the nearest city. And this won't be free." The middle-aged man named Leslo smiled.

The three adventurers looked at each other for a moment before the captain cleared his throat.

"Leslo, we won't mind escorting your group to the nearest city. But we can't wait anymore. We need to move now."

Hahaha.

Leslo laughed and waves his hand. "You don't need to worry. I'm already ready. Do you see that carriage?" He pointed to a black carriage a couple of meters from the adventurers. "That us. We are can depart right away."

'This fellas are scared of the beast. Hahaha.' Leslo looked at the face of the three adventurers and an amusement smile appeared on his face. 'If not for his highness. You think you can have the luxury you have now.'

"Let go." The captain commanded.

"Alright." Leslo smiled and rushed to his carriage. 'I must make sure to accomplish this mission perfectly. The prince eyes are on me. Ha. If I get this done. My position would change in the city.'

"Your highness. The merchant has departed. " Lily announced.

"How's the security of the merchant." Al Casendra wrote and show it to her.

"We follow your advice. We send three rank 6 novice mage in disguise ahead of the merchant. "

Al Casendra nodded and waves his hand, dismissing her. After Lily departs from his presence. Al Casendra was lost in thought. 'If we can establish a merchant shop in other cities. The development of LonFall will skyrocket quickly. Then, I can purchase some of the material for my research.'

'Before that, I need to secure these cities.' He mused. At once, he left the room in a large stride. 'With the new matrix. Long-Fall Pass will soon have its personal army of beast and man. '

At the training field, a group of new recruits was fighting fiercely with one another without the use of magic. Their face had many bruises and was swollen with blood. However, none of them cared.

"Chevy! Don't be a pussy. Get in here." Damie shouted, licking the dry blood at the edge of her lips.

"Damie, I'm tired. Give me a break. Call other people." Chevy shook his head and sat on the grass, panting.

"Anyone one who dares to challenge the great Damie," Damie shouted, her voice resonating through the field. 'With the prince training. My rank has improved. I'm now a rank 5 novice mage. Mage usually has a weak body. But with thee and combat, my physique has improved greatly'

"His Highness has arrived." A middle-aged man shouted.

At once, all the trainees scramble to their feet. They rushed to their position and stood at attention. The field descended into a perfect silence with the gentle breeze whistling. A light creak came from the entrance. Al Casendra entered the training field.

"Salute!" Tami shouted.

At once, they shouted. It was only a couple of days in their training but the sloppiness in them had long been gone. Al Casendra climbs the podium and looks at his first battalion and the corner of his lips curled upward. He waves his hand and the soldier were at ease.

All eyes focus on Al Casendra's face. Their eyes shone with enthusiasm and confidence. Without further ado, Al Casendra picked the writer and wrote on the board. "Tonight's training will be endurance."

He clapped his hand twice and a rush of footsteps came from the entrance. Wendy, Roy, and some guards carry bags onto the field. After a couple of minutes, the field was filled with backpacks.

"Pick one" Al Casendra wrote.

At once, the trainee rushed to pick a backpack. However, when they tried to pick one. Their eyes widened. 'What the fuck! This goddamn thing is heavy.' They glance at each other and gasped slightly. When everyone has a backpack.

"Mission. Run around the city 5 times with your backpack. Failure will be dismissed." He added

What!

"Now go!"
