Nightmare

In Suburban neighbourhood and it was night time, A man drives down the street, into his garage and turns off the engine. A close up of the Michigan number plate, the garage door starts winding down by itself and he looks at it, confused. His car doors then self lock. He struggles but cannot open them, the ignition key turns by itself and the engine starts. Exhaust smoke begins filling the garage and the man struggles to turn off the engine to no avail, The radio flicks on and the man begins to cough. The Man started shouting "Help, Somebody help." By now the smoke is very thick and he kneels over, unconscious.

In the motel room sam starts up from his bed, suddenly wide awake he looks across and sees sarah and dean are sleeping peacefully. Sam sits for a moment, then he moves into action, flipping on the light and shaking his brother and sarah and he said "Dean, Sarah." The moment their stir in their sleep, sam starts packing his stuff and dean and sarah gets up and Dean says to Sam rubbing his eyes "What are you doing man? It's the middle of the night." Sarah wasn't exactly impressed she got out of bed and heads into the bathroom to get herself ready, sam looks at Dean and says "We have to go." Dean immediately alert but not alarmed said "What's happening?" All Sam says "We have to go, right now." Sam grabs his bag and leaves the motel followed by sarah and dean with their bags.

In the impala Sarah was in the back seat, dean was driving and sam was on the phone in the front passenger seat and he was reading from a Michigan State Police ID and he says "McReady, Detective McReady Badge number 158, I've got a signal 480 in progress I need the registered owner of a two door sedan, Michigan license plate Mary-Frank-Six-Zero-three-seven. Yeah ok please hurry." Dean said to Sam "Sammy relax, I'm sure it's just a nightmare." Sam says "Yeah, tell me about it." Dean said "I mean it. Y'know, a normal, everyday, naked-in-class, nightmare. This licence plate, it won't check out. You'll see." Sam says "It felt different Dean. Real. Like when I dreamt about our old house. And Jessica." Dean said "Yeah, that makes sense. You're dreaming about our house, your girlfriend and Sarah's sister. This guy in your dream, you ever seen him before?" Sam simply said "No." Dean said "No. Exactly. Why would you have premonitions about some random dude in Michigan." Sam said "I don't know." Dean said "Me either." Sam is back on the phone and he says to the person on the other side "Yes I'm here." He listens, glares at dean and he then picks up a pen. He then says "Jim Miller. Saginaw, Michigan. You have a street address? Got it. Thanks." He hangs up the call and then he says "Checks out. How far are we?" Dean says "From Saginaw? Coupla hours." Sam simply says "Drive faster."

Outside Jim Miller's house, the impala cruises to a stop the three of them saw the emergency vehicles and someone on a stretcher being zipped into a body bag. They turn looked at each other in the car and Dean concerned, Sam upset and Sarah worried. Sarah and Dean approach the watching crowd and Dean asks to the woman standing next to him and Sarah "What happened?" The woman said "Suicide, can't believe it." Sam stood on the other side of the woman and he asked her "Did you know them?" The woman said "Saw him in every Sunday at St Augustine's. He always seems...seemed, so normal. I guess you never know what's going on behind closed doors." Dean looked straight ahead and said "Guess not." Sam asked "How did...ahh. How are they saying it happened?" The woman said "I heard they found him in the garage, locked inside his car with the engine running." Sarah asked "Do you know about what time they found him?" The woman said "Oh it just happened about an hour or two ago. His poor family. I can't even imagine what they're going through." A woman stands on the front step of the house, crying and leaning against a middle aged man and a young man stands behind them, looking distraught. Sam watches , grimacing, them turns to walk away Sarah and Dean notices and follows him back to lean against the Impala's bonnet.

Sarah said to Sam "Sam we got here as fast we we could." Sam said "Not fast enough. It doesn't make any sense man. Why would I even have these premonitions if there wasn't a chance I could stop them from happening?" Dean said "I dunno." Sam shaking his head and sighing says "So what do you two think killed him?" Dean said "Maybe the guy just killed himself? Maybe there's nothing supernatural going on at all." Sarah said "To be honest i'm not 100% sure what could have done but we don't know his history if he suffered from depression or anything like that." Sam says "I'm telling you, I watched it happen. He was murdered by something Dean and Sarah, I watched it trap him in the garage." Sarah asked "What was it, a spirit, poltergeist, what?" Sam was getting a little worked up and says " I don't know what it was. I don't know why I'm having these dreams, I don't know what the hell is happening Dean and Sarah."They both stare at each other and then at sam for a moment Sam notices and says "What?" Dean shrugging said "Nothing. we're just, we're worried about you man." Sam says to Dean "Well, don't look at me like that!" They both looked at away and then Dean says "I'm not looking at you like anything." Then they glanced back and sarah said "Though I gotta say, you do look like crap." Sam looks over at Sarah and says "Nice. Thanks."Sarah gets into the back seat and dean says to sam after walking to the front door of the impala "Come on, lets just pick this up in the morning. We'll check out the house, talk to the family." Sam says "Dean, you saw them, they're devastated They're not going to want to talk to us." Dean said smirking which got sarah and sam concerned and he says "Yeah you're right. But I think I know who they will talk to." Sam simply asked "Who?"

At the miller house, Dean's hand wearing his silver ring reaches for the doorbell and sam's hair is slicked back neatly and Sarah had her hair up in a neat ponytail she sighs and says "This has gotta be a whole new low for us." Dean turns to smirk at sarah and then looks back at the door and when the door answered it was the same guy that comfort ms miller and dean says "Good afternoon I'm Father Simmons, this is Father Frehley and this is sister We're new junior priests and nun ver at St Augustine's. May we come in?" The man just nod his head and as they enter dean says "Thanks." Sam says "We're sorry for your loss."Sarah said "It's in difficult times like these when the Lord's guidance is most needed." The man was exactly impressed and he said "Look, you wanna pitch your whole 'Lord has a plan' thing? Fine. Just don't pitch it to me. My brother's dead."Then Ms Miller appears and says "Roger. Please!" He moves away and says "Excuse me." Ms Miller looks at the three of them and says "I'm sorry about my brother in law. He's...he's just so upset about Jim's death. Would you like some coffee?" Dean says "That would be great."

Inside the house of the Millers Sarah and Dean sit on the couch whilst Sam sits in an armchair and Ms Miller pours coffee and hands it around. Ms Miller said "It was wonderful of you to stop by. The support of the church means so much right now." Dean said "Of course. After all we are all God's children." She walks away and immediately dean takes more cocktail sausages from the coffee table. Chewing contentedly, he looks at Sarah and Sam and they are both shaking their heads and dean says "What?" Sarah says "Just...tone it down a little bit, Father." Ms Miller returns and dean asks "So Ms Miller, did you husband have a history of depression?" Ms Miller said "Nothing like that." She beginning to get upset so sarah goes and comforts her which Ms Miller appreciates and she continues "We had our ups and downs like everyone but we were happy, I just don't understand...how Jim could do something like this." Sam then asked "I'm so sorry you had to find him like that, Ms Miller gesturing behind her and says "Actually, our son Max, he was the one who found him. Sam looks through the doors into the dining room and sees max sitting in the corner, staring into space. Sam then asks Mrs Miller "Do you mind if maybe, I go talk to him?" Ms Miller says "Oh thank you father."

Sam approaches max and says "Max? Hey I'm Sam." Back in the living room dean asked "Ms Miller you have a lovely home. How long have you lived here?" Ms Miller said "We moved in about five years ago." Sarah said "The only problem with these old houses. I bet you have all kind of headaches." Ms Miller asked "Like what?" Dean said "Well, weird leaks, electrical shortages, odd settling noises at night. That kind of thing." Ms Miller says "No, nothing like that. It's been perfect." Dean said "Huh. May I use your restroom." Ms Miller said "Oh sure, it's just up the stairs." Dean rises and taking another cocktail sausage, Sarah stayed with Ms Miller and she started talking to her. Back with Sam and Max, Sam asked Max "So what was your Dad like?" Max says to Sam "Just a normal Dad." Sam said "Yeah. You live at home now?" Max said "Yeah. Trying to save up for school but it's hard." Sam asked "So when you found your dad..." Max said to Sam "I woke up, I heard the engine running." There was a long pause and then he continued " I don't know why he did it." Sam says to him "I know it's rough, losing a parent. Especially when you don't have all the answers."

Upstairs dean enters the hallway, Checking the coast is clear, he pulls an infer-red thermal scanner from his pocket and turns it on, shining it into rooms as he passes. As he reaches the end of the hall he hears footsteps coming up the stairs and hastily hides the scanner, Sam appear Sam asks "Anything?" Dean looks at both of them and he says "Zip." They both head back downstairs and sarah joins them and asks "Any luck?" They both shake their heads no and then they say their goodbyes and left and headed back to the hotel.

Dean is cleaning is weapons and sarah is doing some research and then sam enters and Dean says "What do you have?" Sam said "A whole lotta nothing. Nothing bad has happened in the Miller house since it was built." Dean said "What about the land?" Sam sinking in his bed said "No grave yards, battle fields, tribal lands or any other kind of atrocity on or near the property" Dean said "Hey man I told you, I searched that house up and down. No cold spots, sulfur scent. Nada." Sam said "And the family said everything was normal?" Dean said "Well, if there was a demon or poltergeist in there you think somebody would have noticed something? I used the infer-red thermal scanner man, and there was nothing." Sarah said "So what, you think Jim Miller killed himself and my dream was just some sorta freakish coincidence??" Dean says "I dunno. I'm pretty sure there's nothing supernatural about that house." Sam rubbing his temple said "Yeah. Well, maybe it has nothing to do with the house. (he takes a deep breath, holding his head). Maybe it's just...Gosh." Holding his hand against his forehead and he tries to continue but he struggles and says "... maybe it's connected to Jim in some other way?" Sarah and Dean look at Sam worried and concerned and sarah asks sam "What's wrong with you?" Sam making anguished noises and sinking from the bed to the couch on the floor and he says in pain "My head. Both sarah and dean go over to sam and check on him Dean says to Sam "Sam? Hey, Hey! What's going on? Talk to us. Sam stares at Dean and Sarah suddenly Sam flashes out of the motel room and is a fly on the wall, watching Roger enter his kitchen with groceries and he notices the window is open and closes and locks it. When he returns to unpacking the lock moves by itself and the window slides open again, Roger is confused and He attempts to close it but it sticks. He leans out, twisting to look up at the top of the window. The window slides closed, decapitating him. Blood gushes up over the window. Sam focuses back at Dean and Sarah and he says to the both of them "It's happening again. Something's gonna kill Roger Miller."

Dean is driving and sarah is in the back seat and sam slowly into his phone holding his head and says "Roger Miller. Ah no no,just the address please. Ok, thanks." Sam says to Dean and Sarah and says "450 West Grove, Apartment 1120." Sarah asks sam "You okay?" Sam looks at her and says "Yeah." Dean then said "If you're gonna hurl I'll pull the car over you know, cause the upholstery..." Sam said before dean could finish "I'm fine." Dean says "All right." Sam just simple says "Just drive." Sam looks at Dean , sighs heavily and looks away then sam says to Sarah and Dean "I'm scared These nightmares weren't bad enough, now I'm seeing things when I'm awake? And these, visions, or whatever, they're getting more intense and painful." Sarah put her hand on his shoulder and says "you'll be all right. It'll be fine." Sam smiles at Sarah and she smiles back and then Sam says "What is it about the Millers. Why am I connected to them, why am I watching them die? Why the hell is this happening to me?" Dean said "I don't know Sam but we'll figure it out. We've faced the unexplainable every day this is just another thing." Sam looks at Dean and says "No. It's never been us. It's never been in the family like this, tell the truth you can't tell me this doesn't freak you two out."

Dean said after staring straight ahead and he says "This doesn't freak me out." Sarah says "Sam it doesn't freak me out either, i will always see you as my big brother someone i look up to." Sam smiled at both of them and then he looks away from them. At Roger Miller's apartment block the impala pulls as Roger approaches the entrance with a bag of groceries like sam had dreamt about. Sam shouted to Rogers "Hey Roger." Roger notices and he says "What are you guys, missionaries? Leave me alone." Sarah says "Please." But Roger is gone. DEAN guns the engine, jumping the curb as he hurriedly parks sarah says "Hey. Roger. We're trying to help!" Sam then says " Please! Hey, hey hey hey hey." Sam runs to the entrance just as roger closes the door it behind him and roger looks at him and says "I don't want your help." He then walks away sam called after him and says "We're not priests, you gotta listen to us!" Dean says "You're in danger." Sarah and Dean look around and then Sarah says "Come on. Come on come on." Sarah, Sam and Dean run around the corner to a back entrance, it is securely locked dean quickly looks around then kicks it open. They jump to the first level of the fire escape then run up the stairs. When they are one floor from Roger's house , they hear the window slide down and a wet squelching noise sam and sarah freezes and dean sprints past them and grabs the railing, Roger head lies in the flower bed under the window, his blood all over the kitchen window sam and sarah joins him. After a long pause he pulls material a handkerchief throwing one to sam and sarah and starts to wipe the railings.

Dean said "Both of you Start wiping down your fingerprints, we don't want the cops to know we were here. Come on, come on!" Dean and Sarah Using his rag to push up the window leading out to the fire escape and says to sam " I'm gunna take a look inside." Sam continues wiping down the metal railing, Dean says "I'm telling you there was nothing in there. No signs either, just like the Miller's house." Sam said "I saw something, in the vision. Like a dark shape. Something was....something was stalking Roger." Sarah said "Whatever it was, are you sure it's not connected to their house?" Sam said "No, it's connected to the family themselves. So what do you think, like a vengeful spirit?" Dean said "Well yeah, there's a few that have been known to latch onto families, follow them for years." Sam said "Angiak. Banshees." Sarah said "Basically like a curse. So maybe Roger and Jim Miller got involved in something heavy, something curse worthy." Sam said "And now the something is out for revenge. And the men in their family are dying." Sam asks "Hey you think Max is in Danger?" Sarah says "Let's figure it our before he is." Sam said "Well, I know one thing I have in common with these people." Dean says "What's that?" Sam looked at Sam and said "Both our families are cursed." Dean huffed and said "Our family's not cursed! We just...had our dark spots." Sam said "Our dark spots are...pretty dark." Dean simply says "You're...dark."

At the Miller's house, Max leads, Sam, Sarah and Dean inside and their are wearing their outfits and max says "My Mom's resting, she's pretty wrecked." Dean said "Of course." Max then says "All these people kept coming with like, casseroles? I finally had to tell them all to go away. You know cause nothing says I'm sorry like a tuna casserole." Sam smiles at Max and he smiles back, max gestures to the couch and they all sit down and then there is a moment of silent and sam sighs and then he asks softly "How you holding up?" Max simply says "Ok." Sam said "You're dad and your uncle were close." Max said "Yeah I guess. I mean, they were brothers. They used to hang out all the time when I was little." Sarah then asked "But not lately much?" Max said "No, it's not that. It's just....we used to be neighbours when I was a kid, and we lived across town in this house. Uncle Roger lived next door, so he was over all the time." Sam says "Right. So how was it in that house when you were a kid?" Max says "It was fine. Why?" Sarah asked "All good memories? Do you remember anything unusual? Something involving your father and your uncle maybe?" Max looked at sarah and he nodded his head no and says "What do ya....why do you ask?" Sarah said "Just a question?" Max said "No, there was nothing. We were totally normal. Happy." Dean said "Good. That's good. Well you must be exhausted. We should take off." Sam says "Right." To Max "Thanks." Max says "Yeah."

Outside the Miller's house, Sam, Sarah and Dean walk down the drive to stand beside the impala and Dean says to Sam "No one's family is totally normal and happy. See when he was talking about his old house?" Sam said "He sounded scared." Sarah said "Yeah Max isn't telling us everything. I say we go find the old neighbourhood, find out what life was really like for the Millers." The three of them stand on the footpath, talking to a man in his front yard and Sam asked the man "Have you lived in the neighbourhood very long?" The man said "Yeah, almost 20 years now. It's nice and quiet. Why, you looking to buy?" Sarah said "No, no, actually, we were wondering if you might recall a family that used to live right across the street I believe." Dean says "Yeah the Millers. They had a little boy called Max." Sam said "Right." The Man said "Yeah I remember. The brother had the place next door. So uh, what's this about, is that poor kid ok?" The three of them was confused and then Sarah said "What do you mean?" The man said "Well in my life I've never seen a child treated like that. I mean I'd hear Mr Miller yelling and throwing things clear across the street, he was a mean drunk. He used to beat the tar outta Max. Bruises. Broke his arm two times that I know of."

Sam said "This was going on regularly?" The Man said "Practically every day. In fact that thug brother of his was just as likely to take a swing at the boy but the worst part was the stepmother. She'd just stand there, checked out, not lifting a finger to protect him. I must have called the police seven or eight times. Never did any good." Dean said "Now you said step-mother." The Man said "I think his real mother died. Some sorta...accident. Car accident I think." Sam has his hand to his head and is grimacing and the man asks "Are you ok there?" Sam said wincing "Yeah." Dean and Sarah hold out their hands to hold up sam and sarah says "Thanks for your time." Sam lifting his hand to his head and said " Yeah, thank you." They turn to go, dean and sarah supporting sam and he says "God." Sam looks up and the words spins. He is suddenly in the Miller's kitchen. Ms Miller is chopping vegetable with a large knife. Ms Miller laying the knife down and she says "I don't know what you mean by that. You know I never did anything!" Max says "That's right,You didn't do anything." The knife starts to rattle on the chopping board and he continues with "You didn't stop them, not once." The knife starts lifting into the air and Ms Miller backing up against the wall and she says "How did you..." The knife moves forward to hold her against the wall and Ms Miller starts panicking and says to Max "Max! please!" The knife twists in front of her face, coming close enough to her eyeball to pierce the tear there so it runs down her cheek. She gasps. Max has tears coming out of his eyes and says "For every time you stood there and watched. Pretending it wasn't happening." Ms Miller crying says "I'm sorry." Max wasn't going to fall for that and he says "No you're not. You just don't wanna die." Ms Miller gasps and cries, the knife slices right through her eye and out the back of her head.

In the Impala sam says "Max is doing it. Everything I've been seeing." Dean said "You sure about this?" Sam said "Yeah, I saw him." Sarah then asked "How's he pulling it off?" Sam says "I don't know, like telekinesis?" Dean said "What so he's psychic, a spoon bender?" Sam said "I didn't even realize it but this whole time, he was there. He was outside the garage when his Dad died, he was in the apartment when his Uncle died. These visions, this whole time -- I wasn't connecting to the Millers, I was connecting to Max! The thing is I don't get why, man. I guess -- because we're so alike?" Sarah says "What are you talking about. The dude's nothing like you." Sam says "Well. We both have psychic abilities, we both..." Dean said "Both what? Sam, Max is a monster, he's already killed two people, now he's gunning for a third." Sam said "Well, with what he went through, the beatings, to want revenge on those people? I'm sorry, man, I hate to say it, but it's not that insane." Dean said "Yeah but it doesn't justify murdering your entire family!" Sam simply said "Dean." Dean pulls over at Max's house and he says "He's no different from anything else we've hunted, all right? We gotta end him." Sam says "We're not going to kill Max." Dean then said "Then what? Hand him over to the cops and say 'Lock him up officer; he kills with the power of his mind.'" Sam said "No way. Forget it." Dean turns off the light and says "Sam..." Sam looks at Dean and says "Dean. He's a person. We can talk to him. Hey, promise me you'll follow my lead on this one." Dean after a long pause and then he says "All right fine. But I'm not letting him hurt anybody else." Dean removes his gun from the glove compartment, glaring at sam and opening the door.

Sam, Dean and Sarah burst through the door and ms miller says "Fathers and Sister?" Max looks over and says "What are you doing here?" Dean said "Aahh, sorry to interrupt." Sam asks "Max, can we, uh, can we talk to you outside for just one second?" Max suspicious says "About what?" Sarah says "It's....it's private. I wouldn't want to bother your mother with it." He looks over at Ms Miller and says "We won't be long at all though, I promise." Max looks at his stepmother, then back and says "Ok." Sam simply says "Great." Dean, Sarah and Sam turn for the door, max follows the three of them but as dean grasps the doorknob he turns back to smile at Max, he sees the butt of the pistol in Dean's waistband in the hall mirror. Suddenly the knob is pulled from Dean's hand and the door slams shut, as does the wooden window blinds all around the room and he slowly backs up and says "You're not priests and a sister!" Dean draws his gun but Max uses his power to pull it away, sliding it across the floor to where he can pick it up. He hold's it on sam and dean, Sarah is right next to Ms Miller and she was so scared that Max might kill both of them and Ms Miller says "Max, what's happening?" Max said "Shut up." Ms Miller said "What are you doing?" Using his power, Max flings both Sarah and Ms Miller backwards, they both hit their heads on the kitchen bench and falls to the ground unconscious and they guys both look over at sarah's unconscious body worried about her.

Max says "I said shut up." Sam then says "Max calm down." Max looks at the both of them and says "Who are you?" Sam says "We just want to talk." Max says "Yeah right, that's why you bought this!" Indicating the gun, sam says "That was a mistake all right? So was lying about who we were. But no more lying Max ok? Just please, just hear me out." Max said "About what?" He looks over at max and sam says "I saw you do it. I saw you kill your Dad and your Uncle before it happened." That confused max and he said "What?" Sam says "I'm having visions Max. About you." Max says to Sam "You're crazy." Sam still looking at Max says "So what, you weren't gonna launch a knife at your stepmom?" Sam taps his eye and continues "Right here? Is it that hard to believe Max, look what you can do. Max I was drawn here all right? I think I'm here to help you." Max starts crying and he says "No one can help me." Sam says "Let me try. We'll just talk, me and you. We'll get Dean, Sarah and Alice out of here, it will just be me and you." Of course Dean was having none of it and he says "Uh-huh. No way." Then they both look up at the chandelier that is begin to shake and max says to them both "Nobody leaves this house!" Sam says "And nobody has to, all right? They'll just...they'll just go upstairs." Dean said to Sam "Sam I'm not leaving you alone with him." Sam looks over at Dean and he says "Yes you are. Look, Max. You're in charge here, all right, we all know that. No one's going to do anything that you don't want to do but I'm talking five minutes here man." Dean simply says "Sam!" Max looks over at his stepmom and sarah, his stepmom is still unconscious but sarah has got her conscious back and has got up bleeding from her forehead and then Max says "Five minutes?" The chandelier and he says "Go." Dean goes over to Sarah and Ms Miller and the three of them head upstairs.

Sam was in shock and said to Max "Listen to me Max. What your Dad said, about what happened to your Mom. It's real." Max said "What?" Sam said "It happened to my Mom too, exactly the same. My nursery, my crib, my Dad saw her on the ceiling." Max said "Your Dad must have been as drunk as mine." Max said "Your Dad must have been as drunk as mine." Sam said "No, no. It's the same thing, Max. The same thing killed our mothers." Max was confused and then he said "That's impossible." Sam said "This must be why I'm having visions during the day. Why they're getting more intense. Cause you and I must be connected in some way. Your abilities, they started 6-7 months ago right, out of the blue?" Max said "How'd you know that?" Sam looked at Max and he said "Cause that's when my abilities started Max. Yours seem to me much further along but still, this has to mean something right? I mean for some reason, you and I...you and I were chosen." Max said "For what?" Sam says "I don't know. But Dean and I, my brother and I, we're hunting for your Mom's killer. We can find answers, answers that can help us both. But you gotta let us go Max. You gotta let your stepmother go." Max thinking then he started shaking his head and says "No. What they did to me. I still have nightmares. I'm so scared all the time, like I'm just waiting for that next beating. I'm so sick of being scared all the time, I just want this to be over!" Sam said "It won't. Don't you get it? The nightmares won't end, Max. Not like this. It's just, more pain. And it makes you as bad as them. Max, you don't have to go through all this by yourself." Max simply said "I'm sorry." Max uses his powers to fling sam backwards into the hall closest and slam the door. He looks across and a tall, heavy, hallway bookshelf slides in front of the doors, blocking them. Sam banging on the door said "No. Max!"

Upstairs in the bedroom Ms Miller is sat on the bed so is Sarah and Dean crouches her, holding a facecloth to her bleeding forehead. The door creaks open on its own and Max walks in and Dean rises and moves purposefully toward Max as the door closes behind him. Max sends Dean flying and he crashes into the wall and Ms Miller looks over at Max and says "Max." Max raises dean's pistol and he was shaking and Dean said "Son of a..." Before he could finish his sentence he rises and sees that the gun, then again begins to walk to max sarah tried warning him but he didn't listen to her and then dean stops when Max lets go of the gun, leaving it floating in mid air. It cocks, then turns to point at Ms Miller,Dean steps in its way and Max says " Stay back. This is not about you." Dean doesn't move from the spot and then Dean says "You wanna kill her you gotta go through me first." Max simply says "Ok." The gun fires and there was blood splatters over the wall, dean has a bullet hole in the middle of his forehead, eyes blank. He wavers and crashes heavily to the ground sarah screams and runs over to Dean's lifeless body and Ms Miller is in a state of shock and dean lies there with his eyes open.

In the downstairs closet sam comes back to himself grasping, and holding his head he's just had a vision of his brother's death and he panicked and said "No, NOOO!!!" The bookcase in front of the closet doors slides away and Sam freezes, then pushes the door with his hand. It swings open. Back upstairs The gun is in midair, turns to point at Ms Miller and she begs "Max, no." Dean steps in front of her and the gun turns to point at him Max says "Stay back. It's not about you." Dean says "You're going to kill her you gotta go through me first." Max simply said "Ok." The door bursts open and sam comes in and he says "No don't! Don't! Please. Please. Max. Max. We can help you. All right. But this, what you're doing. It's not the solution. It's not gonna fix anything." Max s a mess, he is shaking, sweaty, in tears. He stares at SAM, anguished. Suddenly he relaxes a little, his face clears and he simply says "You're right." Then he turns the gun on himself and shoots himself in the head before anyone could react and he fell down on the floor he was dead.

Downstairs in the lounge Ms Miller is sitting on the couch and she says to the cop "Max attacked me and he threatened me with a gun." Cop indicating the three of them and asks "What about these three?" Ms Miller said "They're...family friends. I called them soon as Max arrived, I was scared. They tried to stop him. They fought for the gun." The cop looks at the three of them and asks "Where did Max get the gun from?" The three of them exchange looks and then Ms Miller who begins crying so sarah goes and sits with her and she says " I don't know. He showed up with it and..." She breaks down and sarah hugs her from the side and she hugs her back and then the cop said "It's all right Ms Miller." Ms Miller sobbing said "I've lost everyone." Sarah felt really bad for Ms Miller and the cop said to the three of them "We'll give you a call if we have any further questions." Dean says to the officer "Thanks Officer." He then patting sam and sarah's arms says "Come on." Before sarah left she wrote down her number and gave it to Ms Miller which was appreciated so she gave sarah her number so that they could stay in touch knowing that she's not alone.

Outside of the Miller's house the three of them walking down the street to the impala and Sam said "If I'd just said something else. Gotten through to him somehow." Dean said "Ah, don't do that." Sam asked Dean "Do what?" Dean said "Torture yourself. It wouldn't have mattered what you said, Max was too far gone." Sam said "When I think about how he looked at me man, right before. I shoulda done something. Dean said "Come on man, you risked your life. I mean yeah, maybe if we had gotten there 20 years earlier." They move to either side of the impala and sarah gets in and closes the door behind her thinking of poor Ms Miller and then sam says "Well I'll tell you one thing. We're lucky we had Dad." Dean looking astounded...and pleased says "Well I never thought I'd hear you say that." Sam looking over at Dean says "Well, it coulda gone a whole other way after Mom. I little more tequila and a little less demon hunting and we woulda had Max's childhood. All things considered, we turned out ok. Thanks to him." Dean looks back at the Miller's house and says "All things considered."

At the hotel sarah starts packing her bags and so does dean, sam went to the impala and put his bag in the boot and then he headed back inside and says to the both of them "I've been thinking." Dean says "Well that's never a good thing." Sam says "I'm serious. I been thinking, this demon, whatever it is. Why would it kill Mom, and Jessica, and Max's mother, you know? What does it want?" Dean says "I have no idea." Sam said "Well, you think, maybe, it was after us? After Max and me?" Sarah said "Why would you think that?" Sam said "I mean, either telekinesis or premonitions, we both had abilities, you know? Maybe he was, he was after us for some reason." Dean said "Sam. If it had wanted you, it would've just taken you. Ok? This is not your fault, it's not about you." Sam says "Then what is it about?" Dean says "It's about that damn thing that did this to our family. The thing that we're gonna find, the thing that we're gonna kill. And that's all." Sam said "Actually there's uh ... there's something else too." Dean and Sarah both stopped what they was doing and Dean said "Ah jeez what?" Sam looks at the both of them and he says "When Max left me in that closet, with that big cabinet against the door ... I moved it." Sarah said "Huh. You got a little more upper body strength than I gave you credit for." Sam said "No, I moved it. Like, Max." They both paused and dean simply says "Oh." There was complete silence for a few minutes until Dean said "Right" Sam said "Yeah." Dean picks up a spoon and says to Sam "Bend this." Sam who was frustrated said "I can't just turn it on and off Dean." Sarah asked "Well how'd you do it?" Sam says "I don't know, I can't control it. I just....I saw you die and it just came out of me, like a, like a punch. You know like...a freak adrenaline thing." Dean says "Yeah well I'm sure it won't happen again." Sam then asks "Yeah, maybe. Aren't you two worried, that I might turn into max or something?" Sarah says "Nope. No way. You know why?" Sam says "Why?" Dean then says "Cause you got two advantages max didn't have." Sam said "Dad? Because Dad's not here, Dean." Dean replied "No. me and sarah." They both smirk and dean says "As long as we're around,nothing bad is gonna happen to you." Sam does puppy dog look and a tiny smile and then Dean slings his bags over his shoulder and says "Now then. I know what we need to do about your premonitions. I know where we have to go." Sam and Sarah was both confused and Sam said "Where?" Dean smirked and said "Las Vegas." Sam tilts his head, looks away, looks back, does bitchface and walks out the door to the car and sarah follows and she laughs a little, Dean said "What? Come on man. Craps tables. We'd clean up!" Dean follows Sam and Sarah and to the impala he looks at Sam and considers sam looking thoughtful, then turns to pull the door closed and then they drive away from the motel onto the next location.
