Bloody Mary

The entire scene is tinted blue, Sam was laying on his bed eyes closed, Jess is on the ceiling blood drips on Sam's forehead and he opens his eyes and see Jess on the ceiling and she says "Why, Sam? Why, Sam?" Sam said "No!" She bursts into flames and she repeats "Why, Sam? Why, Sam?" In the impala Dean says "Sam, wake up." He wakes up confused and he's sitting shotgun in the impala, which is parked in front of a large building. Sam says "Take it i had a nightmare." Sarah said "Yeah another one." Sam looked at Sarah and said "Hey, least I got some sleep." Dean then said "You know, sooner or later we are gonna have to talk about this." Sam asked "Are we here?" Sarah said "Yup, welcome to Toledo, Ohio." Sam picked up a newspaper Steven shoemaker obituary circled and it read "SHOEMAKER, STEVEN The shoemaker family is sad to announce the sudden death of their beloved husband and father Steven Shoemaker, steven was 46. A short service will be held on Wednesday, [...] 31st at 2:00pm at the Toledo [...] and cherish you [...] your [...]. Sam said "So what do you think really happened to this guy?"

Sarah said "That's what we are about to find out." Dean said "Let's go." The three of them get out of the car and head into the hospital and they headed into room 144, marked morgue and there are two desks, the empty one has a nameplate that says Dr.D. Fejklowicz and the other one has the Morgue technician. The Morgue Tech said "Hey." Sarah says "Hey." The morgue tech asks "Can I help you?" Dean said "Yeah. We're the, uh...med students." The Morgue tech was confused and then he said "Sorry?" Dean said "Oh, Doctor----." He stumbled over his words and then he continued "---Figlavitch didn't tell you? We talked to him on the phone. He, uh, we're from Ohio State and he was supposed to show us the shoemaker corpse, it's for our paper." The morgue tech said "Well, I'm sorry but his at lunch."Dean said "Oh, well, you know, it doesn't matter. You don't mind just showing us the body, do you?"

He said "Sorry, I can't Doc will be back in an hour. You can wait for him if you want." Dean said "An hour? Ooh, We gotta be heading back to Columbus by then." Dean looks at Sam and Sarah and Sam says "Yeah." Then Dean says "Uh, look man this paper's like half of our grade, so if you don't mind helping us out---." But before he could finish his sentence the morgue tech said "Uh, look man...no." Dean laughs a little but before he could do anything sarah said flirty "You wouldn't want a sweet girl to fail on an assessment and get into serious trouble with her teacher would you?" Sam and Dean look at sarah and then the Morgue Tech said "Umm, when you put it like that." He then gets up and says "Follow me." Sarah straightened herself and she smirked and no one said anything else and then when they got to the body Sam said "Now the newspaper said his daughter found him,She said his eyes was bleeding."

The Morgue Tech removed the sheet to reveal Steven's face and he said "More than that, They practically liquefied." Sarah asks "Any signs of a struggle? Maybe somebody, did it to him?" Morgue tech looks at sarah and says "Nope. Besides the daughter, he was all alone." Sam asked "What's the official cause of death?" The Morgue tech said "Ah, Doc's not sure. He's thinking massive stroke, maybe an aneurysm? Something burst up in there, that's for sure." Sarah asked "What do you mean?" Morgue tech said "Intense cerebral bleeding. This guy had more blood in his skull, than anyone I've ever seen." Sam said "The eyes and mash what could cause something like that?" The Morgue Tech said "Capillaries can burst. See a lot of bloodshot eyes with stroke victims." Dean then asked "Yeah? You ever see exploring eyeballs?" Morgue tech said "There's a first for me, but hey i'm not the doctor." Sarah asked in her flirty voice "Hey, think we could take a look at the police report? You know for the paper?" The Morgue tech grin a little and said "Well i'm not suppose to but for you i can make an exception."

In the hospital hallway the three of them was walking down the stairs and Sarah was ahead and sam says "Might not be one of ours, Might just be some freak medical thing." Sarah said "In a way kinda hope it is, because otherwise i would've done all that flirting for nothing and you're welcome by the way, otherwise dean would've to give the guy some money and you as well sam just be lucky i was here." Dean said "Well, that's true and thank you." Sam said "I've gotta admit that was impressive why do i have a feeling that's not the first time you've done something like that?" Sarah smirks and says "Yeah, i'm not saying anything keeping that to myself." The boys was speechless for a few seconds and then Dean said " How many times in Dad's long and varied career has it actually been a freak medical thing and, not some sign of an awful supernatural death?" Sam says "Uh, almost never." Dean simply says "Exactly." Sarah says "All right, let's go talk to the daughter."

At the shoemaker's house Dean, Sam and Sarah walk into the funeral. There is a picture of steven shoemaker on the desk. The attendees are all men in black suits and women in black dresses, except Sam, Dean and Sarah and dean says "Feel like we're undressed." They walk through the house towards the back, a man points them to the direction of the man's daughters Donna and Lily Shoemaker and Dean said "You must be Donna, right?" Donna looked up and said "Yeah." Sam introduces the three of them and he says "Hi, uh sorry for your loss, I'm Sam, this is dean and Sarah we worked with your dad." She thanked him and then looked at her friend Charlie and then back at the three of them and said "You did?" Dean says "Yeah, this whole thing. I mean a stroke." Charlie then says "I don't think she wants to talk about it right now." Donna turns to Charlie and says "It's okay, I'm okay." She then turned back to the three of them and Sarah asked "Were there any symptoms? Dizziness? Migraines?" Donna simply said "No." Her baby sister Lily turns around and says "That's because it wasn't a stroke." Sam said "What?" Donna said "I'm sorry, she's just upset." Lily then said "No, it happened because of me." Sarah leaned down in front of Lily and said "Lily, why would you say something like that?" Lily said to Sarah "Right before he died, I said it." Sarah asked "Said what?" Lily replied with "Bloody mary, three times in the bathroom mirror." There was a pause and then and then she continued "She took his eyes, that's what she does." Donna said to Lily "That's not what killed dad, this isn't your fault." Sarah had stood back up and dean said to Lily "I think your sister's right Lily. There's no way it could have been bloody mary, your dad didn't say it, did he?" Lily looked up at dean and she said "No, I don't think so."

Upstairs in the hallway focus on one of the mirrors, Sam, Sarah and Dean are seen in the mirror approaching it, then rounding the corner. They got to the bathroom and Sam pushes the door open, there is still dry blood on the floor and sam says "The Bloody Mary legend...Dad ever find any evidence that it was a real thing?" Dean said "Not that I know of." Dean and Sarah walked into the bathroom and Sam stoops to the floor and touches the dried blood, Sam says "I mean, everywhere else all over the country, kids will play bloody mary and as far as we know, nobody dies from it." Sarah says "Yeah, well maybe everywhere it's just a story, but here it's actually happening." Sam asked "The place where the legend began?" Dean and Sarah shrugs their shoulders, dean opens the medicine cabinet and sam continues "But according to the legend, the person who says B----." Before he even thought of finishing that sentence off he noticed that he was facing the cabinet door and he closed it and continued with what he was saying "The person who says you know what gets it. But here---." Dean says "Shoemaker gets it instead, yeah." Sam simply says "Right." Dean then says "Never heard anything like that before still, the guy did die right in front of the mirror, and the daughter's right. The way the legend goes, you know who scratches your eyes out." Sam says "It's worth checking in to."

A woman visible from knees down approaches, the three of them leave the bathroom and Charlie says "What are you doing up here?" Dean said "We---we, had to go to the bathroom." She then asks "Who are you?" He says "Like we said downstairs, we worked with Donna's Dad." Charlie of course knew that they was lying and she said "He was a day trader, or something. He worked by himself and all those weird questions, What was that? So you tell me what's going on, or i start screaming." Then Sarah said "All right, All right we think something happened to Donna's dad." Charlie looked at Sarah and said "Yeah a stroke." Then Sam said "That's not a sign of a typical stroke, we think it might be something else." Charlie asks "Like what?" Sarah said "Honestly? We don't know yet, But we don't want it to happen to anyone else, that's the truth." Dean then said "So, if you're gonna scream, go right ahead." Charlie didn't scream like she said she would instead she asked "Who are you, cops?" Sam looks over his shoulder at Dean and Sarah and Dean says "Something like that." Then sam says "Tell you what.here." He reaches into his pocket, pulls out a piece of paper and pen, and starts writing down his cell number and says "If you think of anything, you or your friends notice something strange, out of the ordinary...just give us a call." He hands her the piece of paper and the three of them walk down the hallway.

Sam, Sarah and Dean walk into the library, rather dark for the time of day and sarah says "All right, say bloody mary is haunting this town. There's gonna be some sort of proof--Like a local woman who died nasty." Sam said "Yeah but a legend this widespread its hard, I mean there's like 50 versions of who she actually is. One story says she's a witch, another says a mutilated bride, there's many more. They walk into the actually library and Dean says "All right so what we supposed to look for?" Sam says "Ever version's got a few things in common, it's always a woman named Mary and she always die right in front of a mirror. So we've gotta search local newspapers---public records as far back as they go see if we can find a mary that fits the bill." Sarah said "Well that sounds annoying." Sam then said "No it won't be that bad, as long as we..." He looked over and saw that the computers was out of order and then he said "I take it back, this will be very annoying."

Charlie was talking to her friend Jill on the phone whilst she was in her car and said "I'm not sure, they were cops or detectives or something." Jill who at her house said "Whoever they was, the two guys was cute." Charlie simply said "Jill." Jill asked "You didn't think so?" Charlie said "Yeah okay the two guys were cute still, do you think something happened to Donna's dad?" Jill said "Maybe Lily was right, Maybe Bloody Mary got him." Charlie said "Ha, Ha very funny." Jill said "Wait, I'm sorry was that fear I hear in your voice?" Charlie simply said "No." Jill said "Charlie, I'm walking to the bathroom mirror right now." Charlie said "Jill quit it." Jill gets to her bathroom mirror and said "Oh no, I can't help myself, I'm gonna say it Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary." There was silence for a few seconds and then Charlie says "Jill?" She screams "Jill?!" Jill starts laughing and she says "You're such a freak, I'll call you tomorrow." Jill hang up the phone and goes to her closest to finish getting changed, she opens the door and then she closes the door and goes to the vanity and there's another mirror and there's bloody mary watching Jill whilst she takes out her earrings, and then other reflection of bloody mary whilst Jill walks in front of her TV screen, In the bathroom she's near the sink and is washing her face and her reflection is still looking ahead and then she looks up and sees her reflection looking at her, as if there was another person. She starts panicking as the reflection in the mirror starts oozing blood out of her eyes, She reaches up and feels blood on her own face.

The reflection of Jill says "You did it. You killed the boy." Jill falls down after seemingly being strangled to death as her reflection in the mirror watches her. Sam was asleep and he was dreaming about Jess's death and he wakes up and sees that Sarah and Dean are doing some research and sam says "Why did you two let me sleep?" Dean looked over and said "Cause I'm an awesome brother and sarah's an awesome friend, So what did you dream about?" Sam sarcastically said "Lollipops and candy canes." Sarah looked at Sam and said Yeah, sure." He then asks "Did you find anything?" Dean said "Oh besides a whole new level of frustration?" Sam sits up and dean continues "No, we've looked at everything. A few local women a laura and a catherine committed suicide in front of a mirror, and a giant mirror fell on a guy named Dave but, uh, no mary." Sam falls back on the bed and says "Maybe we just haven't found it yet."

Sam's phone rang, Sarah and Dean didn't know who it was but whoever it was sam had a worried look on his face. They arrived at the Park Charlie is sitting on a bench, dean is sitting on the back of it, sam is standing up and Sarah is sitting next to charlie comforting her because she's crying and she says "And they found her on the bathroom floor, and her--- her eyes. They was gone." Sam said "I'm sorry." She continued and said "And she said it." Dean looks at Sam and Sarah "I heard her say it, but it couldn't be because of that. I'm insane, right?" Sarah looked at charlie whilst still comforting her and said "No, you're not insane." Then Charlie said "Oh God, that makes me feel so much worse." Sam said "Look, we think something's happening here. Something that can't be explained." Dean says "And we've gonna stop it but we could use your help."

They went to Jill's room, charlie comes in and locks the door, she then goes to the window and opens it letting Sam, Dean and Sarah Dean had the duffel bag and sam sets it on the bed and starts going through it. Sarah asked Charlie "What did you tell Jill's mom?" Charlie said "Just that I needed some time alone with Jill's pictures and things." Sam pulls some stuff out of the bag and dean closed the curtains "I hate lying to her." Dean looks over at Charlie and says "Trust us, this is for the greater good. Hit the lights." Charlie goes and turns off the light and then she asks "What are you looking for?" Dean said "We'll let you know as soon as we can find it." Sam has a digital camera ready and hands it to him and dean says "Hey, Night vision." Dean turns on the night vision for Sam and he says "Perfect."

He turns the camera to Dean and he jokingly says "Do I look like Paris Hilton?" Sam walks away with the camera and he opens Jill's closet and begins filming around the mirror. Sam said "So I don't get it. I mean...the first victim didn't summon Mary, and the second victim did. How's she choosing them?" Dean says "Beats me." Sam closes the closet door and Sarah asks Charlie "I want to know why Jill said it in the first place." Charlie looked at Sarah and said "It was a joke." Dean then said "Yeah well somebody's gonna say it again, it's just a matter of time." Sam is in the bathroom filming, around the mirror when he stops and sees trickles of something running out from behind the mirror.

He then says "Hey." Sarah, Dean and Charlie turn to sam "There's a black light in the trunk, right?" Sam carried the mirror out to Jill's bed and lays it on the bed upside down, Dean throws him the black light and sam peels off the brown that is on the back of the mirror, he shines the black light over the back of the mirror and it reveals a name "Gary Bryman." Charlie says "Gary Bryman?" Sarah looks at Charlie and asks "You know who that is?" She simply said "No." Dean, Sarah and Charlie was outside sitting on a bench waiting for Sam, he comes up behind them and says "Gary Bryman was an 8-year old boy. Two years ago he was killed in a hit and run, the car was described as a black toyota Camry. But nobody got the number plates or saw the driver." Charlie said "Oh my god!" Sarah said "What?" Charlie said "Jill drove that car." Dean says "We need to get back to your friend Donna's house."

They are inside Donna's house, Sam, Sarah and Dean are hunched over the back of the mirror with a black light, there is a handprint and there was a name Linda Shoemaker. The was now in the living room with Donna and she says "Why are you asking me this?" Sarah says "Look, we're sorry to ask but it's important." Donna says "Yeah Linda's my mom, she overdosed on sleeping pills, it was an accident end of story, i think you should leave." Dean says to Donna "now Donna, just listen." Donna shouts at them "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE." She runs upstairs, Charlie looks over at the three of them and asks "Oh my god, do you really think her dad could've killed her mom?" Sam simply said "Maybe." Charlie then said " I think I should stick around." Dean then said "All right whatever you do, don't----." She cut him off and said "Believe me. I won't say it."

They was at the library Dean and Sarah was on computers and Sam was looking at some things on the bulletin board and then he goes over to Dean and says "Wait, Wait, Wait, you're doing a nationwide search?" Sarah looked over and Dean said "Yep. The NCIC, The FBI database--at the point any mary who died in front of a mirror is good enough for me." Sarah says "But if she's haunting the town, she should have died in the town." Dean says "I'm telling you there's nothing local, I've checked. So unless you've got a better idea---." Sarah then said "The way Mary's choosing her victims feels like there's a pattern." Dean said "I know i was thinking the same thing." Sam said "With Mister Shoemaker and Jill's hit and run." Dean said "Both had secrets where people died." Sarah said "Right, I mean there are alot of folklore about mirrors-that they reveal all your lies, all your secrets, that they're a true reflection of your soul, which is why it's bad luck to break them."

Dean said "Right, right. So maybe if you've got a secret, I mean like a really nasty one where someone died, then Mary sees it and punishes you for it." Sam says "Whether you summoned it or not." Sarah says "Take a look at this." There was a picture of a woman lying by a mirror in a puddle of blood, She prints out another picture and hands it to Dean and Sam the picture is of a handprint and the letters "Tre." Sam says "Looks like the same handprint." Sarah said "Hey name was Mary Worthington---an unsolved murder in Fort Wayne, Indiana." There was a Detective he said "I was on the Job for 35 years-detective for most of that, Now everybody packs it in with a few loose ends, but the Mary Worthington---that one still gets me." Sarah says "What exactly happened?" The Detective said "You three say you were reporters?" Sam says "We know Mary was 19, lived by herself. We know she won a few local beauty contests, dreamt of getting out of Indiana, being an actress. And we know the night of March 29th someone broke into her apartment and murdered her, cut out her eyes with a knife."

Sam said "See sir, when we asked you what happened, we wanted to know what you think happened." The detective pulled some files out of a cabinet and then he says "Technically I'm not supposed to have a copy of this file." He opens the file and shows the three of them and he continues "Now see that there? "Tre." Dean simply said "Yeah." The Detective said "I think Mary was trying to spell out her killer." Sarah says "You know who it was?"The detective looked at Sarah and he said "Not for sure. But there was this local man a surgeon - Trevor Sampson." He shows them the picture of him and continues "And I think he cut her up good." Sarah asked "Now why would he do something like that?" The Detective said "Her diary mentioned a man, that she was seeing. She called him the initial "T", Well, her last entry she was gonna tell "T's wife about their affair."

Dean then said "Yeah but how do you know it was Sampson who killed her?" The Detective said "It's hard to say, but the way her eyes were cut out...it was almost professional." Sarah then says "But you could never prove it?" Detective said "No, No prints, No witnesses. He was meticulous." Dean then asks "Is he still alive?" The Detective said "Nope." He sits down and sighs and continues "If you ask me mary, spent her last living moments trying to expose this guy's secret, But she never could." Sam asks "Where is she buried?" The Detective said "She wasn't, she was cremated." Sarah asked the Detective "What about the mirror, is it in some sort of evidence lockup somewhere is it?"The Detective said "Ah, no it was returned to her family a long time ago." Sam asked "You have the names of her family by any chance?"

At the school Donna and Charlie are walking into the girls bathroom and Donna says "I mean, you bring these strangers into my house and they ask me things like that?" Charlie said "They were only trying to help. Please, Donna you have to believe me." Donna said "What? About bloody Mary?" They just happened to stop in front of the mirror and then Charlie said "Please, I know it's crazy ----." Donna says "Crazy doesn't cover it. I mean it's on thing for my sister to believe this crap, she's 12. But you?" Charlie said "Think about the way your dad died, okay? And the way Jill died." Donna said "Okay so." She turns face the mirror and says "Bloody Mary." Charlie says "No!" Donna ignores Charlie and says "Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary." She then turns to face charlie again and says "See nothing happened."

Charlie then says "Why would you do that?" Donna looked at Charlie and said "Oh my God. There is something seriously wrong with you." They both leave the girls bathroom and headed for their classrooms, whilst walking down Mary appears in the windows where Charlie is walking and once in science class the teacher says "Elements that loose electrons become positive ions, which are smaller than other atoms of the same element." Charlie opens up her compact, the teacher continues talking "Therefore the ionic radius is smaller than the atomic radius." Charlie sees bloody Mary in the corner of the room and starts screaming, the class starts freaking out as she starts running around the room. The teacher said "Charlie!" She looked into the reflection of the window and sees Bloody Mary, so she picks up the stool and throws it at the window smashing it, the teacher shouts again "Charlie!!!" The teacher catches charlie and says "Charlie stop it! What's wrong?! Just calm down." She sees the reflection of bloody mary in the teachers glasses." Charlie says "Aah, let me go." The teacher shouts "Charlie." But she's already left the classroom.

Sam, Dean and Sarah driving down the road, Sam was on the phone and he said "Oh really? Ah that's too bad Mr.Worthington, I would have paid alot for that mirror Okay well maybe next time. All right thanks." Sam hangs up the phone and Sarah asks "So?" Sam said "That was Mary's brother. The mirror was in the family for years, until he sold it one week ago to a store called Estate antiques. A store in Toledo." Dean said "So wherever the mirror goes, that's where mary goes?" Sam said "Her spirit's definitely tied up with it somehow." Sarah asked "Isn't there a superstition that says mirrors can catch spirits?" Sam said "Yeah there is. Yeah, when someone would die in the house people would cover up the mirrors so that the ghost wouldn't get trapped."

Charlie was sitting on her bed face covered sam and sarah covered the mirrors up and dean went to Charlie sat down beside her and sam said "Hey, Hey it's ok. Hey, you can open your eyes Charlie, it's ok, it's alright." She slowly sits up and sam says "Now listen. You're gonna stay right here on this bed, and you aren't going to look at any glass, or anything else that has a reflection, okay? And as long as you do that, she cannot get to you." Then Charlie said "But I can't keep this up forever. I'm gonna die, aren't I?" Sam said "No, no. Not anytime soon." Dean sits on the bed as well with Sam, Sarah and Charlie and says "All right Charlie, We need to know what happened." Charlie says "Were in the bathroom, Donna just said it." Dean looked at her and said "That's not what we're talking about here, something happened didn't it? In your life...a secret...where someone got hurt Can you tell us about it?"

Charlie explained the whole story about how she dated this guy, she ended it with him and he threatened to kill himself if she left and her last words to him was "Go ahead." After telling the story she puts her face back on her knees and starts crying, Sarah comforted and sarah said "I'll stay here with Charlie and you guys go and put an end to this and please come back in one piece." So Sam and Dean headed to the store and when they arrived after having a heated argument they spilt up and went looking for the mirror it didn't take long as Sam found the mirror and called Dean over but unfortunately there was a bright light coming from outside so dean went to investigate and it was the police and the officer said "Hold it." Dean says "Whoa guys, false alarm i tripped the system." The police officer asked "Who are you?" Dean said "I'm the boss's kid." The Police officer said "You're Mister Yamashiro's kid?"

Back in the store Sam looks at his reflection, which has now taken a mind of its own like Jill's. SAM starts having trouble breathing and has a trickle of blood coming out of his eye. He drops the crowbar and grabs his heart. The Reflection says "It's your fault. You killed her. You killed Jessica." Dean still with the cops says "Like I said, I was adopted." Which of course the police aren't buying and simply say "Yeah." Dean is being covered back and front by the two cops and he says "You know, I just—I really don't have time for this right now." He then knocks both of the cops out and runs back into the store at the mirror the reflection is saying "You never told her the truth—who you really were. But it's more than that, isn't it? Those nightmares you've been having of Jessica dying, screaming, burning—You had them for days before she died. Didn't you!?! You were so desperate to ignore them, to believe they were just dreams. How could you ignore them like that? How could you leave her alone to die!?! You dreamt it would happen!!!" Dean come with a crowbar and smashed the glass and then looked at sam and noticed that he's eyes was bleeding and said to him "God, are you okay?" Sam said "Uh, yeah i'm fine."

Sam, Dean, Sarah and Charlie are all in the impala and they pulled up outside Charlie's house and she asks "Is it really over?" Dean says "Yeah it's over." Charlie says "Thank you." She and Dean shake hands and Sarah and Charlie hug they ended up switching numbers and sam said to charlie "Your boyfriend's death...you really try to forgive yourself no matter what you did, you probably couldn't have stopped it. Sometimes bad things just happen." She smiles faintly, then she turns around faintly and goes into the house." Dean looked at Sam and gently hits him and says "That's good advice, Hey sam?" Sam simply said "Yeah?" Dean asks "Now that it's all over, you gonna tell me the secret?" Sarah is asleep it's been a rough few days and sam says as dean starts driving "Look...you're my brother and I'd die for you, but there are some things I need to keep to myself." Sam looks out of the window and sees Jessica in a white dress on the corner of the street, standing next to a light pole as they turn the corner she disappears and is never seen again.
