8 Straight to hurricane eye

Still during the pilot episode of the series, after Dean is caught at the motel by the local police, they appear with the diary of the brothers' father. As I'd guessed, they'd picked him up from the motel room right after they'd picked Dean up.

[Yes No]

"The first step to becoming a hunter."

I click [Yes] with the pointer, and a download bar takes the place of the window. It will take about 85 seconds...

I stare at the diary in my hands seriously for about ten seconds.

"It's scary that this is real." I talk to myself, not getting tired of confirming the reality in which I find myself and I keep the diairoo in one of the inner pockets of my jacket along with all the rest of the loot.

I turn and retrace my path across the room toward the broken window. Still a little distracted, I end up bumping my shoulder against a lamp.

'oh no!'

The sound of the item breaking in the middle of the night in a room that should have been empty had a good chance of attracting someone here. My thought of not wanting that to happen serves as an indirect command, making the object stop in the air eight inches from the ground.

"Good thing I have telekinesis..." I sigh in relief, moving my hand and making the object return by itself back to where it was.

'But... Wait... I have telekinesis.' Thinking about it, I look a little silly at the window that I've duct-taped and broken with the wrench.

A simple flick of my index finger along with a little mental effort causes the window lock to open and close twice on its own.

"Dude, I'm really dumb."

I make the window open on its own and swing my dominant leg through it to get out of there. When I'm passing the other one, the message appears in perfect time:

The typical feeling of knowledge being forced into my brain arises, but along with a few new things...

-- Lawrence, Kansas, United States, November 2, 1983...

Sitting comfortably in an armchair, I see an old tube television, like the ones used at the end of the 20th century. Judging by the dark room I'm in and the 'super interesting' movie on the TV, I think it's late at night.

I try to move but my body doesn't respond, it too is giving me an unfamiliar feeling, it feels strange. But I still feel relaxed, kind of lethargic, I want to sleep...

"AAH!" A woman's scream is heard and my body's consciousness awakens.

'What? What? Where am I?'

"Mary?.." My mouth moves on its own calling the woman's name in a voice that certainly isn't mine.

"Marry!" Receiving no response, the voice sounds again, and just as he is talking, the body gets up from the sofa and runs towards the stairs. As a kind of passive spectator, I don't have any control over the body, just sharing the sensations.

My heart is pounding in my chest, euphoria and worry that don't belong to me grows in my mind as this body climbs more stairs.

At the end of the stairs, I turn left and cross the corridor as fast as I can, throwing open the door to the last room... But there's nothing there, just the furniture and the crib in the center containing a baby, all bathed in water. night light coming from the window.

Mine... Wow, his, whoever's body it is, the hectic breathing starts to calm down with a sense of relief. He steps forward, bracing his hands on the crib as he goes to see the baby.

"Hi Sammy." She greets the baby, who looks happy playing alone.

'Oh shit. It's John's memories.' Him calling the baby's name is enough to make me realize what a scene I'm experiencing. In fact, the scene I'm about to experience... The worst moment in John Winchester's life.

John takes his right hand inside the crib in order to caress his son, but just before contact something drips between his fingers. And dark red and hot, I feel it through the touch of him.

He frowns, wondering what that was.

'God, no, I don't want to see this…' As if I had a choice.

Just as I was hoping he wouldn't, the Winchester brothers' father turns his face toward the ceiling... And there it is.

Mary Winchester, with lifeless grayish skin and wearing a nightgown horizontally stained with blood in the abdomen region is pressed completely against the ceiling. Mouth open wide, expression locked in dread and both eyes seeming to look straight into mine, into John's.

"No...Mary!" John's legs lose their strength at the grisly sight of his wife's corpse pinned to the ceiling. His eyes fill with tears as deep anguish and despair begin to rise.

And the final touch, fire erupts and spreads across the entire ceiling from Mary.

'Not!' Sharing not only John's point of view, but all of John's feelings, I also mentally scream.

The fire burns, illuminating and warming Baby Sam's room, whose cries are what pull me and his dad out of their shock. Fearing he would lose not only his wife but his children as well, John takes his eyes off the ceiling and stands up, using his arms to pull Sammy out of his crib before running outside.

"Daddy!" Little 5-year-old Dean is already standing in the hall, John crouches down in front of him, hastily handing the baby over. "Get your brother out there. Quick. Don't look back! Now Dean! GO!"

'Go Dean!'

The little one turns and runs down the stairs following his father's orders, who desperately returns to the burning room.

'Mary!'

"Mary!" We called to each other together, raising a hand in front of our face to contain the glare of the flames, trying our best to see anything... And unfortunately we did.

'NOT!'

"NOT!" Prevented from doing anything by the flames that have already grown to the size of an adult man, John and I can only watch as Mary's body is devoured, burned to ashes.

-- Jericho, California, United States 03:12 AM...

"No!" I let out a scream as I regained consciousness.

Thinking I'm still in that nightmare, I push off the rough asphalt with my hands and pull myself up from the ground in a panic, ignoring the pain of the bandaged wounds in my chest and looking around desperately.

The view of the back part of the Jericho motel with the broken window and the big bandage around my broken nose soothes me by making me realize that 'I'm back'.

"Have I been hallucinating?" My shoulders rise and fall with my breathing. I try to stop to process things, but soon I see one of the motel room lights flick on out of the corner of my eye.

"Is anyone there?" The person calls and I can see her silhouette approaching the window.

'Shit, I can't get caught at the crime scene!'

Giving the telekinetic command to keep the window closed, buying me time. I turn and run, running as fast as an Olympic athlete, getting back in the car and stomping on the accelerator.

The tires 'sing' scraping on the asphalt before the car takes off towards the road and I direct a worried look in the rearview mirror until I open a great distance from the motel.

Then I sighed in relief... But not so much because the most unhappy memories of John still echoing in me.

A simple close of the eye is enough to see the fire burning again... All the despair that John winchester that night was also felt by me.

Azazel has just debut my hunting targetlist.

-- Jericho, California, United States 04:31 AM...

'Just in case.'

As I pull into my last stop of the night, I dangle a can of spray paint in the upholstery hue in my right hand before drawing a pentagram surrounded by symbols on the roof of the vehicle. Devil's Trap, when caught in one of these a demon is trapped and unable to use its powers, one of the valuable information gained from John Winchester's diary.

Finished with the symbol, I toss the spray paint into the backseat and get out of the car and walk toward the entrance of one of the many shuttered stores in downtown Jericho.

"Falcon Guns, huh... It's my first time seeing one in person."

I speak to myself as I read the sign at the top of the gun shop entrance and wave one of my hands in the air. *Click* *Click* The locks on the metal door and the large guardrail unlock and both slowly open on their own.

Yes, this time I didn't forget that I have a paranormal ability that makes my pilferer night a lot easier.

Anyway, without further ado I walk into the store making sure to turn any cameras there towards the wall, drop ten thousand dollars on the counter and go behind it to do my shopping.

As a kid who grew up playing Call of Duty, I resist the temptation to pick one of each model and focus on the essentials; Two simple seven-inch pocketknives, two 38-caliber Taurus, two standard pumps, a BM-F-9 semi-AUTO carbine and plenty of ammunition.

'The carbine may have been a bit much, but where I'm going, it's better to be safe than sorry.'

Putting everything in and two boxes, I carry the heavier one in my arms while I lift the lighter one beside me with telekinesis. 'Looks like the limit of my skill is around forty kilos.'

*Click* The trunk pops open, revealing a few packets of salt, phosphorus, and silver items I picked up from a supermarket, two 2-liter bottles filled with holy water that I blessed in church after downloading a Latin bible, and a gallon of gas I picked up at the city gas station.

As you can see, the essentials for hunting Demons and for generating fire, since almost every evil being in this world can be defeated by setting something on fire.

With some effort I manage to fit the boxes together with everything there, lock the trunk and go back inside the car after making sure that the gun store entrance is the same as it was when I arrived.

I put on the handbrake and step on the accelerator, resuming the road heading out of town.

My original plan was to get the address of the Haverlle Roadhouse from John's diary and drive there. There is no better environment to acquire hunter skills than in a hunter hangout.

'But I can't do that. Not now.'

With. A serious expression, I keep my eyes on the road. Flashes of the Winchester house fire flicker through my memory, John's painful experience imprinted on me.

Remembering the goal I set at Troy's house (Save everyone the Winchesters couldn't) and determined not to let something like that happen to anyone again... My foot sinks deeper and deeper into the accelerator.

'I'm going to Stanford.'

The car's dashboard displays the increasing speed; Eighty miles an hour... Ninety miles an hour... One hundred miles.

Solid determination in my eyes.

'I'm going to prevent the death of Sam's girlfriend and hunt a demon under the command of Azazel.'
