Chapter 58 - Eve Before Battle

---Fortress of Solitude---

In accordance with the need for space, we made the switch to the Fortress that evening. It didn't take long as I had the robots move stuff over for us during the day. Getting things sorted in their giant closet area I got something on tv for Eri and I. Watching a show about animals to entertain her, she laid back against me watching meerkats fighting over food.

"Why don't they share?", she asked me.

"It's because they need to eat to provide food for the baby meerkats.", I stated.

"Isn't there enough food?", she asked.

"Well there are dangerous predators they have to be careful of. There is a good chances they could be eaten by something else.", I replied.

"No!!", Eri protested, "You should make the predator people not eat them!"

Giving her a smile I told her that was part of nature. If I stopped them from being eaten other animals would starve to death. Pouting a bit afterwards her mood improved when the show switched to talking about rabbits.

"They look so fluffy!!", Eri shouted.

"They do.", I agreed.

Noticing what was on the giant tv, Rumi shot me an approving smile. All was going well till rabbits started humping and Eri asked what they were doing. Telling her the rabbits were just doing something they normally did she simply nodded her head without saying anything else. Putting on a kids show for her after that mishap, she started talking to the people on tv as they asked questions to the audience.

"You like this show?", Ivy asked climbing on the massive bed in her pajamas.

"Yeah!", Eri said with a smile, "It's really fun to solve puzzles!"

"How sweet, I bet your really good at it.", Ivy told her before kissing me.

"I am super duper good!", Eri boasted.

"That's cool!", Melissa said, "What are you going to be when you grow up?"

"Hmm...", Eri said thinking about it, "I want to marry Clark!"

Choking on my spit I looked at her with confusion.

"That's not a job Eri.", I said, "She meant a job."

"I want to marry you and live like a big happy family!", Eri said pointing to the characters in her tv show.

The show was about a young girl and her daily adventures exploring the forest near her home. Every day she'd come home and tell her parents about her adventures.

"Eri...do you know what marriage means?", I asked.

"No...but I get to stay with you and never have to say goodbye!", she stated grabbing my arm, "I don't ever want to say goodbye to you!"

Hugging me she looked up at me with her big eyes looking like she would cry if I said no. Telling her she didn't need to say goodbye to me she gave me a big smile and hugged me.

"You are a push over sometimes.", Selena said climbing into bed, "It isn't a bad thing though, its kind of sweet actually. So long as being a pushover sometimes doesn't lead you to cheating, I can live with it."

"Glad to hear it.", I chuckled receiving a kiss from her.

Soon the other women climbed on the bed, and got comfortable. As expected Starfire had slipped in during the closet sorting, and when Blackfire came out she started bickering about it. Having beaten her in combat Blackfire was less bitter, but there was still some lingering issues she had that weren't going away anytime soon.

"I have been meaning to ask, why did you make the bed so big?", Kara asked.

"For adult activities.", Yu replied cautiously.

"I have to admit it's the comfiest bed I have laid on.", Ivy said, "What's it made of?"

"Custom made memory foam and duck down.", I informed her.

"It's fit for a Queen!", Maxima said with a smile.

"Watch it...", Blackfire huffed.

"Hey calm down, it's only you two so it's not like you could be a Queen of two people.", Maxima said.

"That is fair...", Blackfire admitted, "Once I have children there will be subjects for me to rule."

"You think it will be that easy?", Nemuri laughed, "Young girl children aren't so easy to manage, as a teacher I know that very well."

"Clark and I will rigorously raise them to be model citizens.", Blackfire stated.

"Our kids won't be slaves to your whims Blackfire.", I sighed.

"I didn't say that much!", Blackfire snapped, "I wouldn't treat my children that cruelly. I just want them to listen to what I tell them."

"You have no idea what raising kids are like. I don't have any, and I know your crazy.", Raven stated, "They won't listen to you, like at all."

"My children will.", Blackfire said proudly.

"You're crazy.", Momo sighed.

"You just watch!", Blackfire stated with a smug smile, "My children will be the most well behaved out of all of us."

"Is that including me?", Starfire teased.

"Of course better than yours, why would...", Blackfire started to say before turning to her, "Wait a moment, who are you having offspring with?"

"While Clark seems like a nice man, and since we are the only two left I thought maybe you'd share.", Starfire said.

"What about your man?", Blackfire asked, "The one that worked under-"

"He...he is dead, he fell in battle.", Starfire told her.

"Hmm...", Blackfire said, "I might consider it, but you have to understand as the first born I am in charge."

"Say what now?", the older women asked with angry stares.

"I...I meant that we are on equal footing. Still though, I am not fond of sharing with you.", Blackfire stated.

"I will warm you up to the idea, I promise.", Starfire giggled.

"Maybe a few more beat downs will make me feel better. Shall we go-"

Playfully kicking her leg, I told Blackfire to calm down for the night as it was relaxation time. It was too late to be fighting now as it was time to unwind. Accepting my words she dropped the subject, and just relaxed.

All the women were in tank tops and booty shorts so it was an amazing sight. Since they had cut me off though till after the fight I could only look on with sadness. As a man and their boyfriend I wanted to enjoy their company, but I couldn't get flirty at the moment.

"You mortals are strange, are you always wanting to touch them and be around them?", Spectre asked me in my mind.

"So what!? I enjoy being around them, and being lovey dovey with my girlfriends! I intend to marry them so what's the problem?", I questioned.

"You don't think you are smothering them?", he argued.

"If I was they'd tell me, besides you saw how they acted at lunch.", I chuckled.

---Next day, Off World---

Taking Ivy off world with me, I wanted to find her a planet to grow her plants on. Searching for a suitable planet took some time, but a few hours after we left we found an Earth like world without animals or insects. There were plenty of plants though so Ivy was content with that.

"It's a very nice world, the air is clean and perfect for my babies.", Ivy said checking the environment for issues.

"So you going to popular this whole world with plants?", I asked admiring the scenery around us and her.

"I can't do all of it, if I do the plants will suffocate without CO2.", she said with a smirk, "Enjoying the view darling?"

"I am.", I chuckled.

"Don't make me puke.", Spectre sighed.

"Shut up old man, just go to sleep.", I told him mentally.

"I am glad to hear you like it, you'll get your turn in my garden on Saturday night.", she said wrapping her arms around my neck, "You can enjoy every inch of me for as long as you like. As your girlfriend and as the person who took me in I owe you a lot more than that."

"Believe me I am charging interest.", I retorted wrapping my arms around her waist, "You won't be able to pay it off in your lifetime. Ivy, all of you are going to have to stay with me for eternity."

"I normally wouldn't say this to anyone, but...", she said pulling me close, "I would happily stay with you for eternity as your woman."

Kissing me deeply she ran her fingers through my hair aggressively.

"I want to stay your woman, and you my man forever. You are the nicest man I have ever met, treated me like a Queen, and I really want to treat you like my King, all of us do. There was nothing to be gained by you for sheltering us, and even though we had nothing to offer you took care of us.", she said pressing her chest against me, "I...I love you Clark, more than anyone I have ever met. Being with you gave me a new hope that I can have a normal life. No man I know would have flown me around the cosmos searching for a suitable world for my babies. None of them would ever go that far for me, and yet I have you here doing just that."

"It's not that big of a deal.", I stated kissing her.

"It is too me, I want you to know I would happy to marry you when you propose to the others. I want you to propose to me like them, and I promise to make you feel like a King.", she whispered, "I will park myself right Along side you doing my own thing with my plants. With my knowledge I am sure I can help end famine, and I am okay with that. I have a whole world for my babies to flourish, I can share with them the fruits of my labor here."

Kissing passionately I told her she was perfect the way she was, and that she never needed to change. Telling her that I would be happy to marry her she started discussing potentially having kids like Nemuri wanted. They were around the same age so I figured it might happen.

"Selena, Harley, and I would all love it if you could do your thing together. The three of us can beg quite amazingly if that excites you.", she giggled.

"I don't sleep with-"

"Her daughter needs a good man as a role model. If you adopt her Harley will change, she loves that child with everything she has.", Ivy said placing a finger on my lips, "She would whore herself out to put food on the table for that child. Please at least consider her, the other Harley probably is too far gone...just saying."

"Oh how convenient.", I laughed smacking her butt, "I will think about it at the very least."

"Thank you dear.", she said, "If you want you can get a sample from my garden."

"You tease, your just as bad as Selena!", I chuckled, "If I sample, I will devour you."

"Heaven Almighty...your making me sick.", Spectre complained, "I can't believe you are going to bed these criminals! They have killed people, and you are just going to accept that to get your dick wet."

"I honestly believe they have changed, since arriving on my world they haven't hurt anyone. Sure Selena took part in a heist, but no one died.", I stated, "Everyone deserves a second chance...so long as they haven't hurt children. There is no redemption in harming a child, they are the most innocent of people. If your concerned about Wonder Woman, I have no desire to sleep with her...the only thing I want is her head on a pike."

"...Well at least I agree with you on that. I won't lecture you on choosing criminals, but I wouldn't sleep with them.", he replied, "At least you don't fall for a pretty face all the time."

"Do I need to bitch smack you again?", I jabbed, "That's how you get bitch slapped."

"Just saying.", he stated.

Walking around the world for a little bit with Ivy, she confirmed she wanted this world for her babies. Marking it on my Star Map, I promised to setup transport for her to come here.

---Fortress of Solitude---

Investing my time in equipment for the women, I wanted to make sure I protected them the best I could. Testing equipment I was making extensively in many different situations, I worked on improving things where I could. While I was doing that Starfire and Blackfire sat down to talk, after being threatened by Maxima to do so. Mediating for them was Raven, who was reading as they spoke.

"I wish for us to be proper sisters.", Starfire said.

"Like that is going to happen.", Blackfire laughed.

"How can I make amends?", Starfire asked.

"Go back in time, and stop the humiliation I felt playing second fiddle to you.", Blackfire stated, "You realize that the court, and the nobles laughed at me for being your lesser? Everywhere I went I was the laughing stock of the family because my younger sisters out shone me. Any potential mates I had want my help to get close to you, I was never enough."

"Sister, I never once touched a man on our world.", Starfire swore.

"I know that, but you don't understand what it's like being the older sibling and being in the shadow of the younger sibling.", Blackfire said, "My relationships...I had to look closely to see if they truly wanted to be my friend or were just using me to get close to you. It was demeaning, I wasn't anything to them...just a stepping stone to you. The men sought your hand in marriage while branding me as defective woman...my last potential partner told me that to my face. I truly loved him, and he told me that in front of the people I thought were my friends."

"Sister...", Starfire whispered.

"They all laughed at me, and called me an idiot for believing I could find happiness. That is why I sold our people out, none of them cared about me!!", Blackfire shouted putting a dent in the steel table, "I sold them out to get back at everyone for mocking me, for using me, and for breaking my heart!! I don't weep for their deaths, but...for our parents...I do weep. Mother and father did what they had too to maintain our family line, I understand that now. My intention was never to get them killed, now there is only you and I left. We are the last two Tamaraneans from our universe...it wasn't what I wanted..."

Flying over the table, Starfire hugged her sister. Immediately telling her to release her, Blackfire wanted her to let go. Refusing to listen Starfire apologized for what she had endured growing up. She had never realized that her sister suffered so much because of her, she genuinely thought they were friends to both of them. Never did she think it was all an act in front of her, and with hindsight she remembered times where things didn't add up with those people.

"I am truly sorry sister, I only wanted to sisters that could be friends like the others.", Starfire stated.

Acknowledging that she didn't really tell her sister the full story back then, Blackfire relented a bit. She wasn't keen on sharing, but she was willing to try and make their family relation work. Listening to their discussion I hoped that their family ties would strengthen for the better moving forward.

"So does this mean Starfire is in the group?", Raven asked.

"Of course!", Starfire said, "I look forward to being your sister as well!"

"We don't have to go that far...", Raven replied.

"Don't be a party pooper!", Starfire pouted, "Why don't we go celebrate this joyous occasion!"

"We just had a party...", Raven pointed out.

"Another party then!", she replied.

"Ugh...", Blackfire and Raven sighed.

'It looks like Raven and Blackfire are better sisters than Starfire.', I thought with a smirk.

Working on shielding to negate magic and most physical attacks, I was running into how to dissipate the kinetic energy in physical attacks. I could redirect the energy behind the impact to stop the movement, but in the event they fought someone like the Flash he could theoretically hit them hundreds of times overwhelming the system.

"Why don't you set up a system to absorb the energy, and then redirect it on command?", Spectre suggested.

"I am afraid someone like the Flash would overwhelm that.", I stated.

"Use magic to convert it, store it in an Infinite Battery, and then release it out as necessary.", Spectre responded.

"Infinite Battery?", I asked.

"It's made from a rare crystal that exists off world in the Injustice Universe.", he informed me, "Advanced civilizations once used them to store power for spacecraft to move between Galaxies. They have nearly infinite storage for power in them, one race collapsed Black Holes and stored the energy in the Infinite Batteries."

"Hmm...that could work. Does that material exist in my universe?", I asked.

"No, it is remnants of the last energy wave released by The Source.", Spectre stated, "The crystals are fragments of the Old Gods that didn't survive the culling."

"Damn...", I gulped, "Kelex once mentioned potentially meeting with The Source...what do you think?"

"You are welcome to try, with the White Lantern Ring you stand a good chance of meeting with it without fighting the giants.", he told me.

"Hmm, it's worth a shot.", I said.

Putting it down in my notes to look for the crystals, I got to work on his suggestions.

---U.A High School---

"You are going on a date?", I asked Deku.

"Yeah...", he said nervously, "Mei asked me to go to dinner with her tomorrow night."

"Congratulations man!", I said patting him on the back, "You go get it tiger!"

"Could you maybe bring one of your girlfriends, and make it a double date?", he asked, "I don't think I can go alone, I think I will freeze up."

"Izuku froze up when she asked him.", Ida stated, "He said yes, and he froze up afterwards. I had to drag him away."

"Come on Izuku, you have to man up and take the bull by the horns.", I encouraged him, "You can't rely on me for your relationship."

"Come please, just this once!", Izuku asked.

"What about the rest of you guys, surely one of you could swing this?", I asked.

Looking away when I said that I got the feeling they were single. Before I could ask Jiro and Asui spoke up for them.

"All of them are single.", Jiro stated, "They have two great girls in their class that are single, and we aren't even on their radar."

"Yeah...it kind sucks.", Asui added.

"You guys got anything to say to that?", I asked.

"I don't date extras.", Bakugo retorted.

"Don't have have time.", Ida stated.

"Waste of time.", Shoto said.

The rest of the boys said similar things, but the pervert happened to hear us. Running over Mineta said he would take them both on a date if they wanted. Looking at him they shook their heads violently. Knowing what he would do, likely attempt something perverted, they wanted nothing to do with that. Walking away with his head hung low, I wished he'd stop being a pervert.

'At least he hasn't peeked on the girls since the last time I caught him. Apparently threatening to drop kick him into the Sun was all it took. He did try to snap pictures of others though in questionable poses.

"I can't believe they let him stay in the school.", Itsuka sighed, "He is a menace to all women."

"That he is!", the women agreed.

As I was about to start eating All Might came to get me. Stating that it was an emergency I nodded my head, and bowed out of lunch.

---Nezu's Office---

Following him to Nezu's office I took a seat, and asked what was going on. Asking me about Lobo, he wanted to know if I had him on lockdown. Stating that he was on ice, I said that he was under close watch at the moment.

"Is something wrong?", I asked.

"Well obviously the news is hammering us about his attack on the school, and where he is being held.", Nezu said, "He assault students which isn't good no matter how you cut it."

"If you are saying he needs to go to trial, good luck. The man isn't allowed in Heaven or Hell, they rejected him because he is an insane individual.", I stated, "Trying to get anything out of him is like pulling teeth on an alligator while it's awake and trying to kill you."

"That isn't why I called you here.", Nezu said with a complicated look, "Locals from where he showed up reported it to Russia, and they brought it to the UN's attention. They have asked you for an explanation as too what is going on."

"Well crap...", I said realizing this was bound to happen, "I understand, I guess I can't this under wraps forever."

"Unfortunately not, they have made arrangements for a private closed door session for your explanation this evening.", Nezu stated, "It is best to tell the truth, but not explain too much. It is best to avoid mentioning your lovers as well."

"Already ahead of you...", I groaned, "Is there anything else?"

"Not at this time, our Prime Minister hasn't called yet though I expect him too.", Nezu said, "I can handle him, it's the UN I can't help you with."

"I will handle it...I will defrost him, and bring him to the UN.", I sighed.

"Wait...you literally meant he's frozen?", Nezu asked.

"To the bone, yes.", I replied.

"You realize it's frowned upon to do they, right?", Nezu told me.

"For him it's standard...you'll understand.", I sighed, "He isn't like any villain you have met..."

"Young Clark, that isn't true. We have seen all sorts of Villains.", All Might laughed.

"Yeah...Lobo isn't your standard villain.", I stated.

Leaving it at that, I return to the lunchroom to have my lunch.

---Later That Day, Fortress of Solitude---

"Alright, I am ready to go.", I said with Lobo tied up behind me, "Kelex I want you monitoring the family homes of my lovers, and my home. While I am tied up handling the UN I have my suspicions the dirty side of Section 13 might pull something."

"Understood, surveillance will be closely monitored.", Kelex said, "Please be careful."

Nodding my head I flew to the UN to speak with the members about Lobo.

---UN Headquarters, New York---

Walking into the auditorium I saw several faces I recognized from places around the world. Seeing the Prince and Princess from England, I warned them to keep their weapons on their person. Telling them that Lobo was dangerous, I said to watch him closely.

"You can't keep Th' Main Man down!!", Lobo shouted from the stage.

"I apologize in advance...you are going to hear a lot of foul language out of him.", I warned them.

"I am a fucking gentlemen, I swear.", he chuckled, "I am also a fine ladies man too! All the women give me a six star rating!"

"Please tell me he isn't referring to what I think he is.", the Princess gulped.

"I am really good in-"

"We get it Lobo...", I groaned.

"Haha have to make sure that the lady there knows it.", Lobo said with a wink.

"I am gonna hurl...", she moaned.

Taking their seats, the auditorium doors closed signaling the beginning of the session. As expected the first thing they asked me was why I had him restrained so much. Explaining that he would likely kill everyone in the room if I didn't, Lobo quickly said he would spare any cute women here eyeing the Princess. Telling him to be quiet, they soon realized he didn't take listening to authority all that well.

"You want fight you bald prick!?", Lobo shouted, "Get me out of these chains, and I ram your head up your backside!!"

Demanding order from him only made it worse. Standing there as he berated all the politicians in the room I looked at the Princess, Prince, and several good members of Section 13. Ivan thought the scene was hilarious as he hadn't seen the politicians this worked up before. Charles and his team tried not to laugh as well.

"Superman, are you able to shut him up?", the Prince requested.

"Absolutely!", I said using my ice breath to seal his mouth.

Flipping me the bird, I told him that I didn't swing that way which made him laugh.

"Alright...so you asked me to come here to explain the current situation so I am here to do that. I ask that none of you reveal the information I am about to share as it will cause the public to likely riot.", I started with, "So this problem started several months before I fought Oblivion Group..."

Explaining to them about the parallel universe Lobo came from, I used my viewing equipment to give them an idea of what it was like on the other side. Telling them that the version of me from that world had become corrupt, and had caused Villains and Heroes from that world to flee here. Using Bizarro, Gorilla Grodd, and Reverse Flash as examples I informed them that countless villains were living in hiding in our world. Stating that I had only recently discovered the extent after traveling to that world after Lobo attacked.

"So you are saying they are from another reality?", the representative of France asked.

"Correct, in their world Quirks don't exist. Metahumans have similar powers to Quirk users, but the scaling is tipped highly in their favor.", I said, "Lobo for example would defeat All Might easily in a brawl."

"Are you suggesting you are stronger than All Might?", the Japanese representative asked.

"I am, and I don't mean to brag about it. Lobo is a Bounty Hunter with no morals whatsoever, he will kill whomever you want for the right price.", I stated as Lobo nodded his head, "He came here looking to take the villains in...just their heads that is. My computer alerted me to his arrival in the Ural Mountains, and then subsequently his destruction of a bar in the Midwest of the US. By the time I ran into him he had already killed several of the villains along with several gangs that were hiding them."

Nodding his head Lobo was proud of that fact.

"His arrival at U.A was due in part to a few of the Otherworlder's that I caught, like Bizarro.", I informed them, "He came after me specifically."

"So what about your counterpart from the otherworld?", the US representative asked.

"Yes, what of him?", the Russian representative added.

"Currently he intends to come to our world in just over a week to retrieve Lobo, and take the refugees here by force if needed.", I answered, "I am already-"

"We should simply assist them!", several people stated.

"You don't-"

"Agreed, we should start a manhunt immediately to round them all up!", several more shouted.

"That won't-"

Seeing that I was trying to saying something else, Ivan shouted over everyone and told them to shut up. Once everyone was silent I continued my explanation.

"My counterpart isn't like me, he has killed millions of innocent people looking for people. When I went there I saw exactly what happened to a city about the size of New York City. He leveled the downtown area on top of men, women, children, and elderly. People were crushed in their homes by him, if we wait for them to come here there won't be a world left!", I informed them, "I am working with Heroes on that side to take him down before he comes here. Once he is imprisoned I will start collecting the refugees and sending them back. If you try to force them now you will find out how powerful some of these people are."

"How bad is it over there?", they asked.

"If you don't follow the rules he wants you too, you signed your own death warrant. Look at him wrong and he will incinerate you. If you betray him he will rip you to pieces...whether it was a child or an adult.", I answered, "Waiting for him to come will endanger the lives of millions on our side. Conventional Weapons won't even tickle him, and the elements he is weak to don't exist in our reality. That is why I have to fight him there so people here don't have too suffer."

"So you have thought this through.", the US representative said, "Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"Firstly, if I told you before I had things in place to stop him I felt you would have overreacted. Our world wouldn't survive a full on war with them, taking me out of the equation puts this world's survival in the timeframe of a few days.", I told them, "Secondly, I didn't want nations to start trying to find a way to other worlds. Our world is far too weak to be making contact with other worlds. Not only are some not friendly, some individuals would wipe us out for the hell of it. Thirdly...it isn't the biggest threat coming our way..."

"What are you saying?", the Princess asked, "You mean he isn't the biggest threat?"

"No, a different counterpart of mine is.", I said bringing up the footage of him on Earth 10, "This counterpart is going universe by universe completely eradicating every life he finds. So far he has completely destroyed ten worlds, and has a massive army at his back under his command."

The air in the room turned cold as they heard that.

"He is currently halfway through universe number 11.", I informed them, "I have already made contact with other universes to make alliances for combating him. It is a literal all or nothing gambit, we have no room for a second chance."

"How many universes have you made contact with?", several representatives asked.

"Allow me to bring them in.", I said.

Bringing Earth 22 Batman and Superman, Injustice Batman and Supergirl, and New Earth Batman and Superman I introduced them to the politicians. After the brief introductions I got back to the topic at hand.

"Currently three other universes are onboard, and I will work to contact others as well.", I stated.

"We are working on establishing inter-universal communications to coordinate our efforts.", Batman (Earth 22) said, "We intend to fight him on Earth 22 which is the world I come from along with this Superman."

"How do you rate the threat?", the Spain representative asked.

"I have had the opportunity to briefly glimpse your defenses...it will be only a day before you are crushed if you fight alone.", Batman (Earth 22) said.

That announcement sent many representatives into a frenzy. Making them sit down by exerting pressure on them I have Batman continue.

"Our goal is to get about thirty universes onboard with the the alliance. We will need volunteers from every universe to help because this won't be an easy fight. Your Superman will be preoccupied with Prime, the rest of us have to face the army behind him. These are not ordinary people, they maintain their powers and intelligence, but have the strong urge to bring death to all. A bite from one of them will turn you into a Black Lantern like themselves.", Batman (Earth 22) stated, "For now we are focusing on making that team. What you need to do is focus on monitoring for any potential fissures opening in your universe. If any open there is a chance they will come here."

"Do you have that equipment ready?", the ranking five members asked me.

"Yes, the equipment has been online for a month now. I have relay stations in deep space monitoring for even the smallest sign of a fissure.", I replied easing their fears, "Right now I have to focus on stopping the immediate threat, then focus on the larger threat."

"Do what you need to do, and keep us up to date on the status of things.", the committee said.

"I will do so.", I stated, "Now if you don't have any further questions, I am going to put him back on ice."

With that the committee dismissed for the night, and the final preparations began for our fight.
