219 “It naturally fears humans"

Jonathan had a dream in which his teacher took his hand  earnestly and advised,  "You must live well hereafter and enjoy the world."

The dream was fleeting, leaving barely a trace in Jonathan's mind.  As Jonathan awoke, he vaguely recalled that he would be starting college next week. 

Attending college, which had once seemed easy to reach, now suddenly felt distant. Likewise, the ordinary days of his former world felt remote in his memory.

He'd experienced so much, each day stretching out as if it were a year. In this unfamiliar new world, he'd met countless people. He'd gotten to know them, communicated, associated, and eventually parted ways. Some had died by his gun or blade, while others became strangers.
