14L: My main concern is, what's the origin of this contamination? Did it just spontaneously appear? Did the biological mutation emerge after the "Descension of Darkness" event or has it been around for longer? I recall that the reports of wild boar attacks began circulating just as the game issued its tasks. Does that mean the mutations predate the Descent?

Clear-minded individuals aren't few and far between. Surviving several weeks in the second world surely isn't solely due to luck.
