In a dimly lit room crisscrossed with glass tubes and electrical wires, a pale green liquid flowed through the tubes, all converging into a massive glass container at the room's center. The container was large enough to hold an adult human.
Indeed, it did contain a person. Floating in the pale green liquid, the individual had a ghastly, pallid complexion and appeared a desiccated plaster statue. His muscles were atrophied, and his skeletal frame appeared frail and fragile. The vertebrae along his spine jutted out prominently, and his hands and feet were eerily skeletal. His delicate veins were clearly visible beneath his thin skin, seeming incredibly fragile.
Abruptly, the curled figure convulsed, stirring the tubes and lines. He coughed, blood dripping from his oxygen mask into the liquid, quickly dissipating.
"Ghost," a spectral projection materialized out of nowhere. "What has happened?"
Ghost's eyes fluttered open, fixing on the illusory figure.
