"Oh Sook, Jin and I have been hunting for three months! Hehe I've almost maxed out my primitive geno points already!" Smirking mischievously at Jin the girl continued laughing. "Jin hasn't even maxed out his ordinary geno points yet."

Interrupting our conversation Jin defended himself, "hey I'm not a gluten like you and Sook, okay."

Also trying to defend herself, "hey I'm no gluten! You have to eat to survive and how are you supposed to get stronger her anyway, huh." 

Shrugging Jim continued, "you can eat, but you don't have to stuff your mouth like an animal, do you want to get fat?" 

Receiving a deadly glar from Yuki. Jin looked away dropping the conversation.

Wanting to knock Ren down a peg Sook spoke condescending, "how many geno point do you have newbie?"

Not wishing to reveal that information to the public, he compromised with a vague half truth and lie. "Hmm, I might be able to max out my ordinary geno points soon." Not explaining further, their journey continued, till Hye Hwan shushed the conversations silent.

The three other familiar with the protocol. Ren quickly caught on relizing it was time to focus on hunting. Taking note that the weather was truely not ideal, with winds picking up.

They traversed the grove silently, every now and then Hye Hwan would communicate in the military's formal sign language. Something Ren learned im his days at that academy.

Signaling the sight of a primitive creature, Hye Hwan motioned for Sook and Jin to team up to find and silently engage in battle with the primitive creature, Ren now sighting it took note of the normal sized brown cyotee with a unique white stripe.

Yuki and Ren took cover watching the process while Hye Hwan creeped up with the two teenage boys ensuring their safety in the fight.

Ren watched as they both used a concealing type geno arts approaching the creature.

Jim after a certain distance released the geno art and approached to intimidate the creature. Getting caught off guard, the creature backed off. 

Searching the seroundings for anything it also didn't noticed it contemplated briefly before attacking Jin.

Holding his own against the cyotee for some time. Sook creeped up on the fight still concealed. Signaling Jin, Jin led the cyotee to a certain position. Where Sook burst with speed no doubt another geno art stabbing the cyotee through the stomach with a spear beastsoul he summoned just in the nick of time.

Successfully killing the primitive creature in one blow.

Everybody then gathered around the corpse. Ren volunteered to prepare the meat. Even though he normally would eat it raw, or turn it into jerky.

The body was small enough that we could take a thirty minute break to eat the entire thing as a group. Everybody earning a few primitive geno points except for Hya Hwan who had maxed out on those points and only ever nibbled on the meat letting everybody else have a larger share.

Finding another primitive creature it was dicided that Yuki and Ren would take the fight.

Creeping up on a overgrown rabbit. Yuki was gonna initiate the fight. The group believing Ren was capable but still a little weak compared to the rest them. Was desonated the role of support for the fight, Yuki being the strongest of the group of three beginners.

But Ren was confident he could take all three of the beginners all at once by himself.

The rabbit noticing Yuki didn't hesitate to launch itself at her. Unsheathing a z-steel saber she pairyed, gritting her teeth at the force the rabbit exerted. She backed off while the rabbit didn't relent.

Trying to get involved with the fight faster than what was planned. Ren burst into the battle field at the soonest opportunity successfully slicing through one of the rabbits hindleg tendons with his z-steel dagger not expecting another opponent. 

Yuki quickly took advantage stabbing it through its shoulder. The rabbit was still able to fight fine proving it's resistance with the same vigor.

The fight suddenly turned into a battle of attrition. The rabbit was skilled at evading, but it's injuries were slowly killing it. Everynow and then it would get inflicted with a few cuts from both Rens and Yukis blades.

Eventually the rabbit dropped dead, fighting till it's very last breath was commendable.

"Ooh! I got its beast soul! A pet" Yuki exclaimed summoning a mini rabbit dispite it's corpse bleeding outright next to them.

Arriving beside the two of them, Jin volunteered to prepare the rabbit. While waiting Ren killed some small ordinary rotent creatures.

Preparing them himself and sharing the fire Jin set up. Ren clarified that he wanted to max out his ordinary geno points.

Consuming the ordinary rotents as well as his own portion of the primitive rabbit. He luckly maxed out his ordinary geno points while gaining a few more primitive geno points ending the day with 57 primitive geno points.

His peers were looking at him funny, while Sook was muttering profanity's about him being a fat ass and a dirty gluten.

The ended the excursion, Yuki opting to exchange communication information to coordinate hunts. Much to Sooks dissatisfaction.

The following two months they all hunted together a few times a week until the military weather mandate was recended. 

It turned out the military did have such a privilege, to block people traveling the sanctuary's in time of a potential danger, but only able to set group sizes requirements and not completely block a persons right to exit the shelter. 

It turned out the group he was teaming up with was limiting themselves from entering the sanctuary slowing there progress due to the threat of weather.

The three teens like him were actually all children of decently well off evolved business men who all worked together leading to their children growing up together.

During their hunts and distributions of geno points everyone would get one to two geno points per beast slain. Proving the efficiency of hunting solo, but also the safety of hunting in groups.

Ren learned that 90% of people hunted in groups of five or higher and less than one percent hunted alone and even less lives to tell the tale.

Likewise the group didn't want to risk hunting mutant creatures during the weather, it seemed Hye Hwan have an exdrodinary sensing technique, finding and guiding us away from any creatures above the primitive grade.

Now that the weather situation was over. Ren was planing on leaving the group, but ocpanied them on one last hunt for a mutant creature.

Just to give himself some confidence in facing mutant creatures. 

The last two months Ren had a lot of time on his hand he spend sparing with people from the online Martial hall.
