1 Chapter 1 : Last Moment

In a room full of messy electronic equipment, Ernest familiarly moved his finger on the keyboard and start typing with his eyes entirely focusing on the monitor in front of him.

You can see many strings of codes viewed on the monitor and its changing every time Ernest hit Enter on his keyboard.

A few minutes later, he gets up from his chair to do some stretching so he can relax his body. After that, he quickly takes a sit back in front of his computer. His face full of excitement.

"Yes, I've finally finished it!", said Ernest happily.

He had just finished creating a super game hack which could even bypass many famous game's firewalls. It took him a month to finish the super game hack. Though most of the time is used to download a huge amount of data with the help of his artificial intelligence system.

You want to ask about how he has an artificial intelligence. Well, let's first start with his name.

Ernest's full name is Ernest Smith, 18 years old, a student and majored in computer programming. Although he's just 18 years old, his skills and knowledge in the field of computer programming are impeccable. His artificial intelligence system is created by him alone using his intelligence.

Ernest's family background can be called terrifying as his mother is the number one hacker and a technology freak. Even his father is a super soldier and a super agent. Both his parents are super talented in their respective job. Ernest inherited both of his parent's talents.

He knew that his parents are working for a secret agency.

Even though his parents always on the mission, they never forget his wellbeing and give him enough love as he was a sole son with no siblings. Of course, they are rich considering his parents' high salary.

The reason Ernest created a super game hack was to progress much faster in his favorite game. Because it takes too much time and harder to go to the next level.

He even created a shop where he can buy anything at a certain cost. Of course, he set the currency to infinity which it will never be exhausted.

"Let me try it. Wait! I haven't named it yet."

He wants to start the super game hack but suddenly remembered that he didn't even give it an official name.

"I know! I will name it Super Talent System! It functions like a system in some novels. But I am the creator of it. Though I can only use it in video games."

After setting the super game hack new name, he proceeded to start it.

*Ting

Unfortunately, the moment he wants to hit the Enter button, he heard a sound from his smartphone by the side. It was a notification from his manga reading app. It says that the latest chapter of One Piece has been released.

Immediately after that, Ernest scrambled to open his manga reading app to read One Piece's updated chapter abandoning his thought to start the Super Talent System.

A few minutes later, he finished reading the updated chapter.

"This... is this Yamato a woman or a guy?" thought Ernest confusedly.

But a moment later, he throws this thought at the back of his mind.

"It seems that I have to wait for the next chapter," said him.

"Well, let's just play the game to test my newly made Super Talent System. Before that, I have to save a backup for it... in USB... in backup storage... blah blah blah... Done! "

He's backing up the Super Talent System in case he accidentally delete it. Even though he can retrieve it from the bin, but better safe than sorry.

Knock knock knock!

But again, the moment he wants to start the Super Talent System, he got interrupted.

This time it's not a notification from his smartphone, it's someone outside his room knocking his door.

"Ernest dear, come out. It's time for dinner!"

It was his mother, Lisa who was calling him.

"Got it, Mom!" replied him.

Ernest canceled his intention to try his Super Talent System. He takes the USB contained the Super Talent System backup and put it into his pocket.

After that, he came out of his room and went to the dining room. He took a sit in front of his father.

Ernest's father, Travis Smith, was looking at him with a warm smile. Unlike a stern facial expression that Travis wears during a mission.

"So son, what have you been doing for this past month holing up in your room?" asked Travis.

"Oh! I was developing some software," answered Ernest casually.

"I see. But don't forget to train your body," said Travis.

"Don't worry Dad. I always remembered it," said Ernest.

"Okay, that's enough about it. Ernest dear, eat some more," said Lisa while passing more food into Ernest's plate.

Boom!!!

But at that moment, they heard that their house's main door was forcefully opened. A group of men in black barges in while holding guns.

"Run!"

Travis shouted at Lisa and Ernest to run.

Bang!!!

But before Ernest could run he heard a loud shot sound and felt a burning pain at his chest. He collapsed and gasping for a breath.

"Ernest dear?!!!"

"Ernest? No!!!!!!!!!"

Travis seeing that went berserk and killed all the men in black while Lisa tried to give a first aid medical. But there was no results as Ernest's condition worsened.

Seeing there were no more enemies, Travis rushed to Ernest's side.

"How is he, dear?" asked Travis to Lisa.

"Not good! It seems that he's been poisoned! It must be the bullet! They coated it with a poison!" answered Lisa anxiously to Travis.

They immediately fall into despair.

Ernest heard this and saw both of his parents at his side trying to find some solutions. He can feel that his life seeping away with his vision blurred a bit.

"Mom... Dad... I...*gasp* I'm afraid... that I can't make...*gasp* it... Thank you... for...*gasp* the care and... love that...*gasp* you've given to me... for this...*gasp* this whole time..." Ernest tried to say while gasping for a breath.

"Son, please stay strong! Please!" said Travis with his tears running down on his face. Lisa was weeping while trying to inject some antidotes to slow down the poison.

Ernest then saw numerous images flashing in his eyes. It was a flashback of his life from the day he was born until now.

'Ah, I didn't even manage to use it.' thought Ernest with some regrets.

In Ernest's hand was a USB that contained the Super Talent System he created. It was now coated with his blood.

He feels his vision more blurred and he slowly closed his eyes. He feels that he was plunged into an endless darkness. His breath stopped.

When Travis and Lisa saw, their heart was broken as their only son died in front of them.

"NO!!!!!!!!!!" they shouted in a heart-wrenching voice.

But they didn't see the USB in Ernest's hand flashing dimly.

"You don't understand how much of a threat their son posed." answered the man called 'Mr. President'.
