1 Stupid dog

Daniels opened his eyes slowly as his brain started recording data of everything around. He found himself inside a capsule, his arms, legs, chest and head bound to it snugly like a caterpillar in a cocoon. He took a deep breath in then flexed, ripping through the metal bounding him quite easily. Now free, he punched the door to the capsule twice, sending it flying away and got out. He however felt a draft downside and when he looked down, he saw he didn't have any pants. Good thing nobody was around.

He appeared to be inside an abandoned laboratory. He nodded to himself as he traced his way to the exit. It wasn't easy for the whole place was a labyrinth, good thing he had a wonderful sense of direction, like a really heaven defying one. He made his way to the huge vault like door that was sealed shut. He got hold of the hinges and started pulling, his thirty six tonnes worth of raw power coming to play. The door creaked and moaned for a bit before it got squashed inside the wall at the other side. Daniels gave himself an imaginary pat on the back as he let go and squeezed through the hole he made.

Once outside, he took a deep breath in and he could feel something was different about the air. It wasn't as polluted as his other world, fresher even, but it was different. Just then, he saw someone stumbling towards him. He frowned as he searched for something to arm himself. He saw a metal wrench behind the vault door and he quickly armed himself.

"Hey, dude, you alright?" he shouted at the person. The person's head suddenly snapped upwards, his eyes looking straight at him then roared. Daniels was shocked by the roar but then his body went into a combat stance.

"Great, a zombie. You play so much games they become quite obvious at first glance," he said to himself as the zombie suddenly sprinted towards him. "They can run, huh?"

He waited for the zombie to get close to him and then swung the wrench at it. The zombie tried to duck, surprising Daniels even more but he proved to be faster as the wrench connected on its head and it burst open like a melon as he sidestepped, making the headless zombie to crash behind him. He looked at the corpse with curiosity but he was snapped back by another roar. He looked at the place it came from and saw a huge zombie jogging towards him and behind it more normal sized zombies but definetely faster.

"Nope!" Daniels deadpanned and immediately turned around. He pushed the whole vault door back to its place with lesser effort than before and went back to his pod. He had half a mind to just lock himself back in but he then thought of another possibility. What if the zombies mutate even more to strains he couldn't even fight with his power when he wakes up. So, going back to sleep wasn't an option. "Did they have weapons in this place? You can't create a super soldier without weapons, right?"

He started to look around the huge laboratory he was in and he was shocked to see more humans in pods but they seemed to be dead. He even saw kids shot point blank in their heads and left inside the pods to rot. He reached a large door and saw huge letters written on a tag.

HUMAN ENGINEERING.

"How did I miss these words the first time?" Daniels asked himself in shock, anger and self scolding. He walked out of the lab and saw a huge hallway with more huge doors with different name tags. There was Plant Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Gas Engineering, Animal Engineering, Weapons and Armour Engineering and finally Disease Engineering. He got inside the Weapons and Armour Engineering first for he wanted to see what kind of weapons they had. When he got in, he saw the place had been ransacked dry by people for the place seemed to have been victim to black Friday. He walked around, saw some corpses with bullet holes or even missing their heads and he was writhing with anticipation of the kind of weapons that had been created here. Finally, he reached a pod that hadn't been opened yet. He smiled to himself and got hold of the door before ripping it off its hinges.

"Easy peasy," he said, throwing the door away with little effort and looked at the beauties inside the pod. In it was a futuristic combat armor that seemed to be a rip off of Halo Spartan armour and Doom guy's armour. The whole thing was black like the night and made of materials he had never seen before. He touched the chest in amazement and the whole armour hissed open, like Ironman's armour. Inside it was lined with a super soft material that would put silk to suicide due to jealousy. He found himself running his fingers all over the suit in amazement.

He snapped out of it and made a quick decision to get inside the suit that hissed shut once he was snug inside. He smiled to himself as the whole thing came alive. He expected to hear an AI talking but it seemed that the suit was manually operated. Suddenly, it purred and he half expected it to turn into a death machine but it suddenly started melting and changed into your everyday clothes. He found himself wearing a black hoodie, black jeans that were surprisingly very stretchy and comfortable, black boots that seemed they would squash steel nails to coin shapes and a Hokey mask! He was surprised by the last item for he thought it might have tried to change into a gas mask. The mask did just that, making him even more surprised.

"What more can you do?" he asked himself as he imagined himself wearing a three piece suit, a top hat, leather shoes, a rolex and a small mask. That's exactly what happened. "So it can change into whatever clothes I want. Is it neuro linked in my brain to perceive that kind of command? Not my problem now though, leave that to future Daniels. Time to look for weapons."

He changed the suit to a military combat uniform because it was made for absolute combat and that's what he was going to. He came to a large metal box that had bullet dents all over meaning someone tried to open it with bullets, idiots.

"It is obvious it was built to last but not against me," he said and got hold of the door and ripped it out. Inside it were seven weapons, each with a name tag. There was a Desert Eagle, DSR-Presion DSR 50 Sniper Rifle, Heckler And Koch HK 460 Assault Rifle, Heckler Koch HK MG43 Machine Gun, Welsh WWI Trench Sword and a Smith And Wesson .500!

"Holy shit!" he exclaimed as he picked up the desert eagle. Once he touched it, it was like a missing part of his body had come back! "Right, now to make sure my wishes didn't go to waste. Time for customization." Immediately, a blue screen appeared in front of his face.

'You can currently customize ten things per month. Grow stronger and the number of items will increase. Each time can currently be customized five times, choose carefully.' Those were the words he saw displayed on the screen. He then rubbed the desert eagle thrice and it appeared on the screen.

'Customization ready. Choose the qualities you want to customize.'

"First of all, unlimited ammo. Second, no chance of jamming. Third, ammo power increased by 5000%. Fourth, recoil reduced to 60%. Fifth, chance of firing exploding rounds to 35%." He was satisfied by this and he turned to the rest of the guns. He put the four customisations the same then the fifth he put different on to each one. The assault rifle he put it that the chance of a headshot is 100%. He put it that way because of the rapid fire option of the assault gun that can sometimes decrease the accuracy. The machine gun he added the overheating was -100% because the machine gun gets easily overheated because of the high fire rate per minute.

The sniper rifle he put the option of the bullets never missed the critical parts of anyone targeted. He nodded at this because the target can decide to just get away and he will miss. The bullet will however chase after the target and hit its critical organs and with the high percent penetration, it would be a one hit KO! To the Smith and Wesson, he added the option of shooting off shockwaves with the bullet that will send any target flying away. Because of the high pernetrative power of this gun added with his own, and due to the fact it is a close combat type of gun, he would get dirty maybe because of the guts and blood and stuff. To the blade, he added durability to 5000%, an option that would make the blade always clean, he added the sharpness to 5000%, the grip he added to 100%, and finally the option that each strike will be a one shot.

"Now, to make sure the weapons don't fall into the wrong hands," he said and then searched for tape. He found one inside a drawer and he smiled to himself. He rubbed it the same way and it appeared on the blue screen.

"First, this tape will stick to whatever I put on it permanently. Second, anything that I put the tape on will become my own property. Anyone who tries to use it without my confirmation, being blackmailed or otherwise that would mean my giving away permission is not genuine will die immediately. Anyone else but me who tries to use this tape to change possession will be killed immediately. This tape will be durable to everything and never be worn out, burnt off, frozen off or tore away. I think that is enough. So, those are right items now. Now for the ninth item, my infinity bag." He searched around and found a military bag that was half filled. He smiled to himself. He rubbed the bag with a perverted smile on his face and the bag appeared on the blue screen.

"This bag will have infinite space where I will store my possession. This bag will have infinite durability. This bag can change its size. This bag will be weightless in any size. Finally, nobody but me can open this bag and if I am being coerced to do so, it won't open even if my life is in danger," he said. He was satisfied by the customs and immediately put the weapons inside apart from the assault rifle. He then made the bag shrink in size so that it won't come into his way in combat.

"Alright, let's see what else is in this horror show," he told himself and walked out of the lab. His torch was on, illuminating the dark hallway. He reached the animal lab and slowly opened the door.

"Is anything in here? I am from animal control, here to spray laughing gas on you," he said, his senses working overtime. He looked around with his terrifying eyesight and luckily saw nothing. He was relieved and relaxed a bit but was still alert. He saw the same pods as his, only larger and bulkier. Inside them had animals that had already been killed from canivores to omnivores. He looked into each and everyone of them, making sure the animals were all dead and he did, all except one. It was a Czechoslovakian Vlcak, quite a mouth full but it is a dog, a half breed between a german shepherd and a wolf. But this dog was bigger, like three metres long without measuring the tail and 1.85m tall white furred dog.

"Okay big boy, I'm gonna pull you out of here, promise me you won't bite me," he said then did as before, ripped the door away. Immediately, the dog opened its grey eyes, staring straight at him and with no warning, it pounced on him, bringing him down and then opened his maw as Daniels flinched, waiting for it to clamp onto his throat but what he got instead was a face full of slobber as the huge dog licked him all over!

"Urgh, stop it, stop it!" Daniels cried out and pushed the dog away. He succeeded and he got up, wiping the slobber from his face. "This is so gross. Why did you do that?" The dog just cocked its head to the right as if not understanding what he was saying. Daniels just waved it off and then looked around. "You are the last survivor, just like me. My name is Daniels, I guess I have to give you a badass name to honour your fight to survive." The dog barked at him. "Hmm, what about Fenrir after the giant wolf that is gonna caus Ragnarok?" The dog did not respond so he took that as a yes. He rubbed it behind the ears, getting an excited tail wag. "Well, Fenrir, let's go explore this place to the fullest." Fenrir just barked then led the way. "Now he understands me," Daniels pouted as he followed. If he wasn't a 2m tall man, he would be intimidate by Fenrir's height.

With Fenrir leading the way, Daniels only had to watch the flank from time to time. They were head d towards the Disease Engineering laboratory out of instincts. When they reached the door, Fenrir growled as he got ready for combat as the stench reached Daniels' nose.

"Smells like bunch of sick men just took a dump over and over again, urgh! Ready to get in, Fenrir?" Daniels complained and immediately, a gas mask appeared on his face. Fenrir growled and he took that as a yes. He punched open the door, sending it crashing away and Fenrir got in, fangs bared, Daniels behind him. Inside the laboratory was a five metres tall zombies that looked like the boss of the building. It had many arms all over its body, each with claws decorating them. A huge maw was seen on its head, fangs showing instead of teeth. Two huge eyes were located just above the maw and now they were looking straight at them. The zombie let out a roar that shock the lab and from behind it, thirty agile zombies flooded out.

"Fenrir, you take on the boss, I'll take on the zombies," Daniels said. Fenrir didn't hesitate and immediately charged at the boss, his mouth wide open, drool dripping out as if he was seeing the freshest piece of meat. Daniels didn't bother to look at him for he knew Fenrir was probably as strong as him, his attention was towards the approaching zombies. He slung the assault rifle behind him and clenched his fist, ready for a fist fight.

The first zombie pounced on him but Daniels just sidestepped with a punch going straight for the head. Immediately, the head burst open, sending chunks of meat all over. Daniels smirked and turned to the other zombies who weren't affected by the death of one of them. Daniels started punching them and with each punch, they were getting decimated. Soon, Daniels was done and on his face was a bright smile. He turned to the boss zombie and saw Fenrir was toying with it for he was eating it while still fighting.

"This guy still bothering you?" Daniels asked as he pounced towards it and punched its head, causing it to explode like a rotten ripe banana in a microwave. Fenrir wasn't pleased and growled at Daniels before suddenly using his claws to dig the zombies chest apart and ripped out its heart before eating it with a gulp. Satisfied, he went to a corner and lay down, seemingly pleased with his gains.

Daniels decided to snoop around and that's how he found a manifesto. It was a meeting schedule about how the manager and CEO would tell the workers when to release the virus. Daniels immediately connected the dots.

"Shit, these bastards actually caused the zombie apocalypse! What kind of shitbags are they?" he cursed as he crumpled the paper and threw it away. He went to the exit in a huff. "Let's go, Fenrir, before I torch this place down." Fenrir wasn't happy to be woken up from its small nap but still followed him. He led him to the exit where he could still hear the zombies outside banging on the door, growling and some roaring.

"I'm ready for round two, shitbrains!" he shouted and pushed the door away before jumping back, the assault rifle already firing. He could feel the gun auto-correcting his stance so that he would get headshots, like always. With the pernetrative power, the bullets ripped through them like a mow on grass. Even the big zombie proved to be useless before the onslaught. It ended as soon as it began! Daniels stopped firing and looked at Fenrir who was surprised too.

"This is one giant step for us, Fenrir. The whole world for us to explore, treasures to search and horde, zombies to hunt and you to eat as we grow stronger and stronger. Soon, we will be legends, everyone will know our names and we will be immortalized in history as the strongest human and animal in the world!" Daniels finished his speech but noticed Fenrir was busy digging out the heart of the large zombie. "Tch, stupid dog."
