2 Character Interview - Inez Pèrez

Hello, it's me again! So, as I'm writing my last chapters, I figured why not introduce some of the characters to you guys? The people who have read my last novel "A Cinderella Story - Untold Files" know that I did something like an interview with the characters, to get a unique pov of their story.

Now, in the Cinderella story, I wrote it after most of the chapters have been released, and now I'll write it before any of the chapters. So, hopefully, without spoiling too much about the story itself, let's dive into it!

Setting: Café on the corner of a sunny street. Coffee is hot and Author (A) is waiting for character number 1: Inez

Full name: Inez Pérez

Age: 16 years

*Inez enters the restaurant.

'Hi, you're Inez Pérez?' The author asks the shy but kind-looking girl coming into the restaurant.

'Yeah, hello. Nice to meet you.'

'Nice to meet you too.' The author extends her hand towards the chair in front of the other side of the table. 'Please, have a seat.'

*exchange pleasantries and The author orders tea for Inez.

'I'm glad you agreed to this interview. Now, I've sent you the list of the questions I have for you. Did you have a chance to look them over?'

Inez nods and she tucks a strand of brown hair behind her ear. 'I did. They're good questions.'

The Author smiles. 'Thank you, shall we begin?'

Inez nods again and the interview begins.

'So, tell me a bit about yourself and the connection you have with Morrow, the Main Character (MC).'

Inez shifts in her seat and sips her tea. 'Alright, so my name is Inez Pérez, I'm sixteen years old and I know Morrow for a long time. We first met in kindergarten. She was a bit weird but was kind to me and we became friends. After that, we spend some years in school together, but eventually, Morrow had to move. Her parents both work a lot and their work is always number one.' She blushes as she clasps a hand over her mouth. 'Ah, I'm sorry. I may have said too much...'

The author smiles. 'Don't worry about it. I want your honest answers. Please continue.'

Encouraged by the Author's words, she continues although a bit hesitant at first. 'Morrow and I lost contact for about three years but recently came into contact again. But,' she fumbles with her fingers and picks her nails when she continues: 'when we reconnected she was a bit different. Still kind, but just different. I don't know what happened, but it looks like she struggles with something...' Her voice trails off as she seems to remember the way Morrow's has changed. 'I don't really know how to describe this...'

The Author smiles again. 'Again, don't worry about it. There are no wrong or right answers here. But let's move on to another question. How would you describe Morrow?'

Inez thinks about this for a second, before answering. 'She's a really kind person. She might not act like it, and might be very tough-looking but she truly is the cutest person ever. Morrow is like a cat. She asks for attention but it can be overwhelming for her sometimes and acts out.' Inez smiles. 'It's alright. She really is a very sweet and kind person.'

The Author stops writing Inez's answers down for a second and glances at Inez. 'Do you maybe like Morrow?'

Inez blushes. 'Of course, I do, but not in the way you may think.' She picks at her nails again. 'I'm already in a relationship with Abi.'

'Oh, who's that?'

'A mutual friend of Morrow. She's also really kind.' A soft smile spreads across her face when she thinks about her girlfriend.

'Can you tell me more about Abi?'

*Interview continues and comes to an end. The Author thanks Inez for coming and providing information.
