Silver and Black

Akai continued to fly as fast as he could. His wing flaps caused flung away clouds and passing birds. Wind rushed behind him as he tried to catch up towards Nia, but his armor slowed him down. He wanted to throw away his armor pieces, but that was the only protection he had against her blade. His cape flew off of his body as he soared through the sky revealing his bare back free of any armor.

Eventually, he reached where the temple was. He could sense the dragon nearby, so it wasn't too late. It was surrounded by sand and there was one other person there. He had hoped it was the green dragon, but he was nobody that he recognized. He landed towards the front of the man. He wore silver armor and stood there motionlessly. Akai's black wings covered him in shade, but he retracted it along with his tail.

Akai took a few steps forwards and saw the silver armored man facing in his direction.

"Are you the guardian of this place?" Akai asked.

The man shook his head. He made no attempt to fight and looked unarmed, but Akai didn't let his guard down. Even though Akai had no sword, he could rely on his fists covered in dragonscales and metal.

"You are not surprised that I am a dragon. I will not ask why you're here, but I need to know if you have seen any other dragon coming through here besides me," Akai said.

The silver armored man made no response.

Akai had no time to waste. He began to power walk past him, but the man pushed Akai back flinging him to the sand seemingly without trying to. The man looked at his hands in astonishment of his own strength. Akai got himself up quickly ready to fight, but the man raised his hands up not wanting to start any conflict. He made a grunting sound trying to ask why he needed to go there, but Akai couldn't understand him.

The black dragon was also surprised by his power. His armor protected him from most of the blunt damage, but he still felt a stinging sensation from that little push. Without a proper weapon, Akai felt that he wouldn't be able to win against whatever stood in front of him. He recognized it as not a man, but as some kind of monster.

He made another grunt, but with effort he was able to speak. He said, "W...Why?"

When Akai realized it could speak, he realized he could reason with it. He didn't relax himself, however.

"I don't want to fight you. There's supposed to be a dragon here, and I have to stop her from leaving," Akai said.

The silver armored thing listened.

"It's going to sound crazy, but the future depends on her not leaving. If she leaves, this world is doomed. I have to stop it."

The thing took a moment and looked like he was listening to somebody else.
