1 Prologue
In the vast desert surrounding sunagakure, two groups of genins were facing each other. Both groups of genins belonged to difference forces.
The first group wore the traditional handband of Sunagakure, the village of Sand. However, the other one wore the handbands of Iwagakure, the village of Rocks. It was no secret that both hidden villages were at odds with each other, and around the border, there would often be conflict.
This time around, the genins from the village of rocks had wandered off too far, and entered the desert of Sunagakure, ending up lost in the wide and endless mountains of sand. After raiding a small village of ordinary men, the group of Iwa genins managed to get a map, and they were attempting to leave this forsaken desert.
Unfortunately, the Sunagakure village possessed an efficient method of communication, using desert vultures, allowing ordinary men to make requests to the hidden village.
Each genin from Iwa was experienced, their age varying from 16 to 30. In a world where children were meant to fight, they could be considered veterans. In comparison, the Sunagakure genins were much younger, around twelve and thirteen.
However, they were no less dangerous.
Their leader, Kaito, shouted: "Eiji, you take care of the swordsman! Aki, you take care of their medical nin"
Kaito was not a genius. However, both Eiji and Aki revered him for his leadership skills.
Kaito was different.
He was wise.
He was experienced.
But more importantly, he always survived.
His secret was quite unconventional.
He was a reincarnated man, who probably transmigrated in the worst world to reincarnate into, a world where children were forced to fight, a world where war would engulf peace, a world where crazy powerful men would try to impose a genjutsu on the populations.
In this world, he was nothing but an ant.
However, like anyone with common sense, he tried to make the most of it and joined the shinobi order of puppeteering. After three years of grinding missions, here he was, still being a weak genin, a weak canonfodder.
He often chose to avoid confrontations with other shinobi. However, there would occasionally be missions requiring him to confront enemy genins. Despite having three years of experience as a shinobi, he could not repress the feelings of fear creeping in his heart. No matter how many people he killed, he still felt fear for his life. Would he be able to escape injuries, or worse still, death this time around?
Despite being human in front of conflict, Kaito never showed it in front of his teammates Aki and Eiji. After shouting order, he looked at his opponent. Being the oldest and with the most imposing build, Kaito had chosen him as his opponent as he was the strongest.

However, he also happened to be the best match for a puppeteer like him. Taijutsu specialists could not target the weakness of puppeteers, the puppeteer.
