Kekkei Genkai: Time Release

(A/N: YOU GUYS ACTUALLY WENT OVER THE TARGET WHOAAAA... I am impressed. I didn't think it was possible. But demn. Ok... You guys will get two chapters per day from today for a whole week. In his long walk to the cave, Hitori seemed to calm down and his rage had turned into sadness. He made his way to the cave and he knelt down on the sandy ground and began to cry as he replayed Karura's dying moments.

"Aunty Karura, I don't know how it will go but I will take care of Gaara. I promise you," Hitori declared loudly but as he did tears began to fill his eyes again and he slammed his fist on the ground.

"Can I even keep a promise like that? I'm still too weak," he whispered, angry at himself.

'I'm tired of all this...' he thought as he forced his tears to a stop.

"This village sucks. Hero, who wants to be a hero? I have no obligation to protect them. I only care about those close to me and yet, I am still unable to protect them," Hitori voiced his thoughts out loud.

[Kekkei Genkai unsealed: Time release unlocked]

The sound of the system suddenly awoke him from his stupor.

[Knowledge being transferred to host]

And in the next second a series of brand new information was sent into Hitori's brain and he understood what he had just gained.

Time release was a chakra nature could not be categorized into the world right now. It was it's own power. It had the ability to manipulate time. Along with the information and new meanings on time, Hitori also found out how to use it. It was like a game, the kekkei genkai came with a single move, Time acceleration.

"Time release info," Hitori called out and a series of information appeared in front of him.

[Kekkei genkai: Time release (Level 1) [Must be activated with Sonzaigan]

Jutsus:

Dilation (Level 1): Slows down the effect of time on the user (By 20%)

Reading this, Hitori's mind was distracted from his pain for a moment as he was filled with sudden curiosity to try out his move. He could try it out here but he could not tell if he moved faster or if the world has slowed down so he turned too something else.

"Time release Jutsus," Hitori spoke out, "It seems like I am able to level this up. Maybe it will get stronger and I will unlock more jutsus... Aunty Karura, please watch over me. I'm sorry for lashing out like this. I vow to find out what actually happened."

He then did all the required hand signs for the jutsu and then began to figure out how it worked.

He first tried to move around and couldn't really tell if there was any visible chance. He then began practising his attacks and as he finished one cycle of his jutsus he found that it a ding had sounded.

"Oh..." Hitori was caught by surprise, "About five minutes have passed. So to get this to 100%, I will have to practice this for about more than a month. This is not going to take too long..."

And time slowly passed as Hitori spend about four hours in the cave.

Hitori then turned towards the cave entrance after a session of practising all the jutsus that he knew.

Tomorrow was the day that he would become an official ninja. During his time at the academy, he had mastered all the jutsus that they offered and he was also able to come up with magnet release after spending some time with the Third kazekage but could only manage to manipulate it almost half as well as him as the Third had suddenly disappeared. But before he had left Hitori, the Third was able to impart to him some other jutsus...

Tomorrow was the day that they would get their own respected teams, yet he did not have much expectations or hopes.

As dinner time was nearing, Hitori decided to make his way back home where he met Chiyo who had set up dinner already.

While eating, there was an awkward silence which was dispersed by Chiyo who spoke up, "Did you go and clear your head?"

"No..." Hitori replied in a flat tone, "Granny, I want to know why you implanted the Shukaku into Gaara."

"I don't think it is the time to tell you," Chiyo replied after a few seconds of silence.

"Granny..." Hitori spoke out in the same flat tone but this time it was slightly colder and more serious, "It's fine if you don't want to tell me. I'll just go and find it out myself."

"Who are you going to ask?" Chiyo asked as she did not think that Hitori would have the ability to find it out as only she and Rasa knew the reason.

"..." hearing her question, Hitori was driven to confusion as he realized that there must be a reason why she asked that. Then it struck him, "So I won't be able to find it out from others. I assure you that nothing will stop me from finding it out. She died next to me and I couldn't do anything to save her..."

Hearing this, brought frustration back into his mind as he began speaking his mind, "I don't understand why he would allow his wife to die like that. I'm sure that even you knew that her chances of survival were extremely low. I never knew much about uncle Rasa, but I can see that he doesn't truly care about his family..."

"Hitori... The role of a kage..." Chiyo called out with much difficulty. She did not want to expose the truth as she could still tell Hitori was not completely calm yet so she tried to change the question, "Back then, your eyes changed colour. What was it?"

"It's a dojutsu, called Sonzaigan. I am able to see the chakra pathways of anything," Hitori answered as he simply continued eating.

"When did you unlock it?" she asked again.

"About four years ago," Hitori answered plainly as he tried to finish his food quickly.

"Why didn't you tell me before?"

"I didn't see any reason to. I told the Third first and he told me not to tell anyone, so I didn't," Hitori answered.

"But why not me? Are we not family," Chiyo spoke out in a strange wild tone.

Hitori froze for a second at that question. He stopped eating his food and looked straight at Chiyo with a cold glare, "...Granny, that's selfish of you. You didn't tell me about the situation but now you want me to tell you about my secrets? What about family being supposed to know everything about each other."

Hearing this, it was Chiyo's turn to freeze. She had realized her mistake but this seemed to frustrate her as she turned over to Hitori and spoke, "The village secrets are not things you are supposed to know!"

"Tch," Hitori let out a short laugh of mockery. He stood up from his chair and walked to his room, "I was an orphan. Even thought you adopted me, I was bullied a lot. People made fun of me. I was stranded in streets, unable to find a place to even let my tears out. No place to let out my frustration. To me, all the villagers in this village are better dead than alive to me. I feel no reason to protect this place. I will choose my family over anything. And I promise to find out what happened to Aunty Karura. The only things keeping me here are my three friends and Karura's children and you. Good night."
