First Mission: Confrontation + Electromagnetism Release

A/N: Sorry for no updates in the last two days, I had two family events on the same day, one was my cousin's birthday and his exam results came out on the following day... He did extremely well... Now my parents will have high expectations of me... :( Enjoy the big chapter tho. I was quite happy with this chapter.

A large source of light could be seen about a hundred meters from Hitori's position as he looked at the scene in front of him. He had made it to the bandit's base and he had just finished scouting the whole base. There were ten different green tents laid out in a decagon shape with the last tent, which was the biggest out of them all, located in the farthest direction from the village. There were currently six other bandits left and with the help of his scouting and his eye, he found their locations. He found that they were all huddled in the middle of the base with a large campfire, happily chatting and drinking wine. The kids were all tied up and placed in a big prison cell that was made out of mud.

'All the bandits look like they are currently enjoying life. And it looks like most of them are drunk...' thought Hitori as he observed all of the bandits closely. Using his right eye, he saw that five had the same amount of chakra as the chunins back at Suna and among the five, one of them particularly caught Hitori's attention. It was a strangely skinny man with an extremely long face, yup... long, like every part of his face looked as if it had been horrendously extended, making him incredibly ugly looking. But his ugliness was not the thing that caught Hitori's attention, it was the man's chakra. Every shinobi in the location had a bold simple blue glow of chakra but the skinny man who Hitori was looking at had a strange wispiness about his chakra. His chakra was blue but it had a strange fuzziness. Hitori immediately knew who this guy was and made a mental note to be careful of this guy as he thought, 'this guy is definitely the genjutsu user among the bandits.'

Hitori's attention was then drawn towards the final man, the leader. He was a well-built man who was slightly larger than the other ninjas and if Hitori were to describe him in one word, it would be 'dangerous.' The man was wearing a black tank top which was a bit worn down and simple black pants. Across his revealed skin, countless scars from wounds, stitches, and fire could be seen. It was clear that the man had a lot of experience and Hitori was certain that the man had participated in the Third Shinobi War.

'This is really not going to be easy... I need to check up on the kids.'

Hitori looked at the kids closer and saw that there were multiple bruises on the children's bodies, he immediately used his eye to check up on them and found that none of them were grievously injured. He then did a headcount and saw that all the children were present but the elder's daughter was missing.

Hitori's face changed as he imagined the worst possibility, and he instantly used his eyes and began to check through the Sonzaigan again... 'I need to find her quickly,' he thought as he began searching and he soon found a weak chakra source in one of the tents. Hitori moved around the camp and made his way in front of the tent. Arriving at the tent, Hitori made sure to check around and he made his way into the tent.

That instant he got in and saw the person, Hitori was suddenly panicked. In front of him was a young girl and Hitori was only able to tell this because she had long hair and had no adam apple. Her face and body were filled with bruises on every part of her body imaginable. Her face was especially swollen and there were red marks on her neck and there were traces of dried blood from her mouth to her chin. Seeing her pitiful situation, Hitori was suddenly reminded of the last memory of the previous Hitori before he took over. He remembered how he was also beaten back at the labs. He immediately walked up to her and examined her situation. She seemed to be asleep as Hitori touched her face but she did not react. As he brushed her hair out to reveal her face, Hitori saw that she had an extremely pained expression on her face. Hitori immediately looked at her and saw nothing wrong, meaning that she was currently under a genjutsu.

Without thinking, Hitori immediately placed his hand on her back and undid the genjutsu. The instant that he did so, he saw the girl's facial expressions immediately ease up and the rest of her body relax as she began to weakly move. Her eyes slowly opened to see Hitori looking down at her with extremely pitiful eyes.

"W-who... are... you?" she weakly asked as she did not recognize Hitori's face.

"Relax, get some good rest. I'll take care of the rest..." Hitori replied as he simply smiled, trying to make the girl as relaxed as possible.

But hearing his answer, the girl's face changed slightly as she forced her hand up and grabbed Hitori weakly, "Please... run... They are... waiting for you."

The instant that she said that, Hitori's mind was suddenly alerted as he suddenly felt a huge burst of chakra that was heading for him. He immediately grabbed the girl and shunshined out.

Boom!

A huge explosion followed as the tent that Hitori had just shunshined out of had become shrouded in a huge dust cloud.

"Leader, did we get him?"

"Haha! The boy really does have some skill," the hoarse voice of a middle aged man sounded in an excited tone as he turned his head and looked over to Hitori who had suddenly appeared next to the prison of children.

"Yuriko onee-chan!" the children shouted immediately as they saw a young boy suddenly appear with the very wounded body of a young girl next to them.

Hitori looked up and saw a huge dust cloud lingering above the place that the tent was currently set up. And as the dust cloud slowly settled and cleared up, six bandits could be seen directly staring at him with the leader in the middle with a cold smile.

Seeing this, Hitori couldn't help but berate himself mentally for being so impatient but at the same time, he had to save the girl. Taking a deep breath, Hitori lifted the girl and walked over to the prison and set her down next to the kids who were suddenly awoken by the loud bang. Seeing the girl, they all slowly got up and made their way towards her as they called out to her, "Yuriko onee-chan!"

Hitori then turned to the bandits and took a few steps forward to separate himself from the others with only one thought in mind, 'Delay them!'

"My my... Our assailant is actually a small boy..." the leader said sarcastically.

"You had already detected me before, don't try to fake it," Hitori spoke nonchalantly as he continued, "I was quite confident in our plan but it turned out that you guys had already predicted this."

"Haha! Are you impressed? Kid, when you've seen war like me, you have to consider even the smallest possibility," the boss spoke as he coldly brandished his sword, "Usually I, Junichiro Habiki, would kill you immediately but since you were able to take out five of my subordinates, I want to play around with you for a bit. Tell me boy, what is your name?"

"Hitori, Hitori Kodokuna," Hitori replied as reached into his back pocket and brought out a few scrolls, "If you are going to kill with me, I don't have any intention of making it easy for you."

Hitori then created six iron sand clones and immediately had them circle the mud prison. He then used the scrolls and brought out ten swords while thinking, 'I didn't want to have to use this so quickly.'

"Haha... A true shinobi indeed," Junichiro laughed as he saw Hitori prioritise protecting the kids first. He then turned his attention to the small pile of swords as he ridiculed, "What are you going to do with them I wonder... Are you going to grow extra hands to use all those swords at once?

Hearing this, Hitori simply smiled as he replied, "I'm sure your familiar with the puppetry technique from Suna?"

The leader immediately got the hidden message as he let out a loud laughter, "Hahaha! Are you actually implying that you are able to control these swords like puppets? Please, I'm not from Suna but even I know that that isn't possible. The only way to control metal would be if you had Magnet release but even then, it would still be impossible. Even the Third kazekage wasn't able to do this."

Hitori laughed as spoke, "That is true. Magnet release just doesn't cut it. It isn't able to create a magnetic field strong enough to allow free control of large metals."

Hitori then bent down on the ground and faint glimpses of sparks of electricity could be seen on his hand and he created a few hand signs in a pattern that was unrecognisable by the bandits before shouting, "Electromagnetism Release: Field."

As he said this, a huge burst of electricity burst out in a circle before ending in a fifty meter radius, the whole process taking about two seconds.

The bandits looked around and were startled when they saw the electricity suddenly erupt but when the electricity got to them ,they found that nothing had happened to them, they did not feel any different from a second ago so they began to think that the jutsu had failed and simply laughed loudly.

"Haha! That was an interesting jutsu!"

"I think I feel more relaxed after the jolt of electricity!"

The bandits ridiculed as they began to think bad of Hitori.

"Electromagnetism Release... It must be a new kekkei genkai," Junichiro commented as he was suddenly interested in Hitori.

"Nope," Hitori answered startling him, "It's a kekkei tota. I used lightning, earth, and wind."

Hearing this, the faces of all the bandits changed as they looked at each other in confusion. Their faces screaming, 'did I hear that right?'

They were all old shinobi from Iwagakure and they someone who was famed to have a kekkei tota. The Tsuchikage, Onoki. They did not know much about kekkei tota but judging from the characteristics of dust release and the damage that it was able to procure. They were immediately startled.

"A kekkei tota? Haha! Your having a laugh. Why would you expose such secrets to others so easily? You have much to learn boy," said Junichiro as he laughed nervously, his eyes suddenly sparked with a glimmer of expectation as he held his hand out, "Why don't you come and join me and my group?"

Hearing this, Hitori was dumbfounded... Did this guy really just attempt to recruit him...

"Why should I join a group of bandits who have nothing better to do with their lives? Plus, you guys are soon going to see hell so why drag myself down?" Hitori replied as he picked up the swords and threw them up in the air and as they were falling down Hitori placed his hand forward slightly in front of him. Suddenly, all ten sword stopped falling from the ground and began levitating as they were slowly turned to face the bandits.

"Death it is then," Junichiro replied with a sad sigh as he looked to the slim man next to him, "Hotaru, take him out."

Hotaru nodded as he took a step forward and began to use a couple of hand seals before suddenly raising his head as he looked Hitori straight in the eyes.

But a few seconds passed and Hitori did not fall unconscious.

"Hotaru?" Junichiro asked as he looked over to the skinny man, expecting an answer.

"Leader, the chakra to disrupt his senses is being disrupted..." Hotaru answered.

Hitori smiled as he sent the swords forward, "Genjutsu won't work on my as long as I have 'Field' activated."

"Crap! Dodge the swords men!" Junichiro shouted.

Also, I'm planning to have this go on onto Boruto aswell so we will need longevity. I think once I finish the Naruto timeline, I will take a break to let Boruto advance before continuing this Fanfic.

I'm thinking of making a new fanfic but I haven't been able to find that final push yet... It will be on more anime worlds which I will not use in this fanfic. Try hangman to guess these worlds. I'll like the comment if you get it right.
