Chapter 21

Clouds split apart and thunder like shockwaves struck all over an island in paradise. Most of the ground was charred and burnt away while other parts were missing entirely.

This devastation had been caused by two huge and muscular people. Both had no shirts on; one with blonde hair, covered in scars while the other had orange hair and a lion's tattoo imprinted on his back.

The two moved at incredible speeds locked in a fist fight with wounds piling up on both of them. They carried no weapons as hand to hand combat had become their fort. One was very proficient in the art, displaying superior skills and control in his attacks and body as proof of the many wars he'd been part of. The other fighter though not as good displayed new skills never seen in the world landing attacks in the most unexpected places and proving he was a master in his own right.

The two were Ra and Bullet who had been battling for over two hours though none of them were tired nor showed any signs of being tired.

Bullet had a clear advantage as he appeared to be able to float in air whereas Ra jumped and attacked as fast as he could before gravity would work on him. The two exchanged attacks once more before Bullet landed a heavy attack forcing Ra back to the ground.

He landed on his feet, though the ground wasn't so lucky, melting away. He was getting annoyed by the ariel attacks so he made a 'cruel sun' and launched it towards Bullet.

Bullet knew better than to play with fire, presumably one as hot as the one Ra controlled, so he avoided it entirely. He had learnt his lesson when he tried to punch one back but the fire was so hot it burnt through his augmentation and even armament before he made a choice and escaped.

He smirked at Ra for avoiding the attack, failing to notice that a part of the burning ball deatached from the initial attack and landed on his back. The ball was so small seemingly posing no theeat but after coming into contact with his back, it garnered energy and exploded launching him straight down.

He saw Ra's fist ready to greet his face first but before it reached him he turned mid air avoiding it. He turned his body clockwise sending a kick of his own which was met with air. His danger sense flared but it was too late as a kick to the ribs sent him crushing through debris and the remaining island.

He had coated the area with armament at the last moment but the kick was so strong bypassing the defense entirely and cracking his ribs. He was a seasoned warrior but the person he was fighting proved to be much more difficult to deal with than expected.

He had no prior information on Ra and now that ignorance was going to cost him. He had fought on Ra's terms for over two hours thinking that he was dominating the fight, which he was indeed at first. But two hours of the right conditions; fighting head on and the brightly shining sun had proved to be nothing short of miraculous to Ra's growth in strength.

Ra was losing momentum at first as seen by the numerous wounds on his body but the roles had finally reversed with time giving him the edge over Bullet.

Bullet was still recovering over the shock of getting seriously injured for the first time in this fight failing to notice Ra rapidly approaching him.

He was forced to go into the defensive as every attack that landed on his body did more damage than expected. He racked his brain for any possible explanation and arrived to a simple conclusion. The Lion's sin had grown stronger over time and was still getting stronger.

He was not getting any chance to breathe as he was being pounded deep into the earth. The attacks displayed pure power, something he deeply desired leaving him confused and excited. He was on the verge of losing consciousness, his body not withstanding the burns that were piling on his body.

An attack to the chin knocked him back above ground, high into the air forcing him to a state of alertness and chasing away the dizziness. He knew he had to act soon or he would be once more defeated, but this time by someone unknown in the sea and younger than him.

He vaguely saw an approaching fist straight to his face forcing him to let loose his conquerors haki pushing back Ra and forcing him to stay put as they both landed on the ground. Bullet was bleeding, burnt, worn out and for the first time in a long time, he was tired.

Ra faced the pressure of conquerors haki halting his momentum. He wondered what he should do as noon was still far from arriving denying him of his most powerful form'The One'. He wasn't distressed but he had finally hit a mountain in his journey, but what annoyed him was that he unconsciously depende on 'The One' to fight a foe that wasn't in the least overwhelming.

He knew that only those with conquerors haki could squarely face against each other leaving him at a disadvantage. But he didn't want to submit nor would he allow himself to do so. He came to this world unwillingly but he had come to love it and had decided on his future.

If becoming stronger than anyone else, strongest in the world was the only way to do so then he would become the strongest. His resolve burned like never before and awakened the beast sleeping in him.

The lion's tattoo on his back shone bright red, as did his now elongated hair that also turned red. His teeth grew into fangs and nails grew longer as he finally embraced his birth lineage for the first time. He roared accompanied by a strong burst of conquerors haki golden in colour.

He roared loudly as the island faced the wrath of the clash between conquerors. "I am the Lion's sin of Pride and the absolute apex of humanity. No one and absolutely no one will ever force me into submission."

The clash between conquerors disappeared and he burst into motion moving foward covered in flames and made the final attack ,with his hand moving in a slashing motion downwards as he said," Divine blade,wrath of Ra," cutting down the left hand of Bullet from the shoulder. It was only sheer luck that denied Bullet death.

The attack went foward slashing part of the ocean into two separate parts, the island itself included.

The battle ended with both opponents fainting. Whereas Bullet fell to the ground, Ra stood with his hand still raised though he had passes out. Luckily for Bullet the attack was immensely hot burning through where he was cut and stopping any blood loss.

It was after about thirty minutes did Deri finally appear from hiding and left the boat swaying in the water then approached where the aftermath was. She looked at the fainted Bullet then Ra, and finally the remains of the axe that had been melted away at the start of the battle.

She stayed that way for a few minutes, her thoughts only known to her before she approached the unconscious Ra and dragged his heavy body to the ship. She arrived at where the ship was and changing her posture she moved her hips generating strength and threw the body on the' Truth Bearer'.

She unfolded the sails letting the sea guide them to where they would go next.

She left behind a devasted island and unconscious pirate who were no longer any of her concern, though she had found a suitable opponent to shadow box against.
