2 Summoned to Deal with a Dragon (2)

The first contract I read was as such, making me astonished that fictional worlds existed, but when I thought more about it, it wasn't strange at all. In an infinite Omniverse, it wasn't far-fetched at all, in fact, it was a must since anything one could think of could exist.

Looking at this particular contract, I shook my head, the difficulty grade was 5 times higher than the offer, it wasn't a good balance, and I was not going to risk it, especially since my life and soul were on the line. Also, the world of Warcraft was a very dangerous place, and I was not interested to face against Arthas... Even with powers, I was not sure I could stop an army of dead and a super necromancer death knight...

I moved on and saw many worlds, some I recognized like Tamriel, Ivalice, Elemental Nations, DC, etc. Others I did not, and the list went on and on. There were many contracts from similar worlds, for example, Azeroth had a few dozen, some didn't seem bad in balance but I didn't want to risk a dangerous world unless the offering grade was twice that of difficulty to make me feel confident.

I read through a few hundred, it was already noon, and I had missed my exam, but I didn't care, I had to find a good contract and see if this was legit, if it was, the university didn't matter, if it wasn't and I had gone mad, then I would at most retake this course next term... And go see a doctor...

I was instantly interested in this, the offer was roughly 3 times greater than the difficulty, a very good balance with great reward, and it had dragons. That was enough for me, 'It is now or never, this is the only good one I have found after searching for hours.' I thought.

First I took my phone and went to Fairy Tail Wiki, making sure I remembered everything important and re-reading things for an hour, I took a deep breath and opened the system then accepted it, and instantly text filled the screen... I watched nervously waiting to see what would happen.

Ulmer Anas, the high magister of the city looked at what used to be his city and muttered; Tears fell down his face as he saw the remains of his son on the ground, only a leg remained of his once bright and intelligent boy, perhaps the brightest in the Dragnof kingdom.

He had seen him grow from the time he was only a small infant, so small and so fragile, to a respected scholar and wizard of the city of Magdala. Ulmer looked at the dragon with hatred, rage coursing through his veins, and took out a silver pendant.

There was regret in his eyes but only for a moment as he looked at the pendant, it had belonged to his wife, said to be a great and ancient treasure, but he did not care.

"I will summon a devil from hell with this... Since we are all going to die, then you shall die with us, DRAGON!" He shouted and a big magic circle formed around him, "Come forth and claim this pendant, I only ask you to protect the city of Magdala and slay this evil dragon..." He said and began chanting a bizarre and dark spell.

The grey-cloudy sky grew dark as if night had arrived, all wizards noticed something was amiss, they looked towards the city center and noticed a black magic circle on top of the highest spire. Lightning thundered as the world grew silent.

Even the dragon felt something was wrong and stopped his rampage, his scales tingling in primal fear, he was shocked to have felt primal fear after a hundred years. His pupils constricted and he flew towards the city center, 'I must stop this mad wizard!'

But it was too late...

A dark pillar connected the sky and the earth, and from inside walked out a young man with black hair, pale skin, and piercing green eyes, he was handsome with two black lines connecting his eyes to his lower face as if he had cried black tears, he wore white clothes, a bone mask that covered part of his face, and carried a sword.

A baleful and fiendish pressure descended on the world, everyone had only one thought on their mind... A demon god has arrived.

Ulmer muttered as he kneeled, his eyes wide in horror, "What have I done? I have doomed the world..."
