Adventure time

I walk towards the city exit and as I'm walking, I hear some people talk about a massacre, that trailed from a certain village to this city. The same village I came from.

(Random guy 1): "Hey what happened to the guy that commited the massacre, did they catch him? I mean I heard that over 100 people were killed."

(Random guy 2): "No they still haven't caught they guy who did it. They're calling' im the 'Saiden plains butcher' now. There were more bloody trails than there were bodies. Looks like the butcher didn't just kill humans, he killed monsters as well."

(Random guy 1): "No way, so he just went on a random rampage, killing anything on his way?"

(Random guy 3): "No, didn't you guys hear? They say the dukes 2nd son was also one of the victims."

(Random guy 1): "No way. So you're saying the assassin did that massacre to cover up killing the dukes son?"

(Random dude 3): "I don't know man, but this butcher is a sick motherfucker either way. I'd rather not be anywhere near nobility, they always bring trouble."

I walk out of the city unhindered, radiating excitement. I could have taken an additional escort mission toward my destination, however that would limit me, so I didn't.

The main road I'm walking on houses quite a bit of traffic, from carriages, to warriors, to random people with guards. I keep walking on the road for about an hour and then turn toward the woods. Walking in the woods I activate and deactivate my (Infared vision) habitually to detect any potential ambushes I might have missed. I only have (Infared vision) so far for detection. It's problematic, but to alleviate that I trained up (Spacial magic), so I could phase away and teleport, should the need to escape arise.

The first hour goes by uneventfully. On the second hour I see some rabbits, the size of dogs, so I practise my wind magic on them, chopping them up. I am bored so I overkill them, chopping down a few trees along with the rabbits. After killing them, I just leave them there since they're useless.

I'm getting dangerously bored, so I break into a jog, while still being quiet, so I could hear better.

After another hour of jogging, I finally find something interesting. A bandit camp outpost. I don't know if it's temporary or not, but it's a random cave with a few tents infront of it. I'm about 300m away from them. I jump on top of a tree branch finding a location with the best vision.

Scouting out the bandit camp and inspecting their members, I find out that they are from level 20- 65, so not that strong. There are about 15 of them outside and about half of that, inside, so a small crew. I can't inspect the ones inside sadly, the ones that I can see with my (Infared vision). And there may be more further in.

'Hmm, what's the best way to do this... To eliminate the ones outside with a big spell. Then back off, luring out the ones inside. After that, they'll probably investigate in groups, so I can finish them of in slices.'

Well that would've been my plan before, but now I have the (Rampage) skill. I smirk demonically, obviously the plan is a full frontal rush haha.

I activate my (Infared vision) (Tail) and (Claws) and boost my speed with lightning magic. I start running toward them, picking up speed and trying to stay as quiet as possible. I pick out my initial targets, such that I could use my momentum to a maximum degree. Running about 20 m/s or 72 km/h. I can feel the wind crashing against me as I graze past trees. My excitment and bloodlust peak and my first target can feel it, as he turns toward me.

But by then it's too late. I pull out my adamantium broadsword and decapitate him in passing, rushing toward my next target. At the same time, I'm using (Parallel proccessing) and (Accelerated proccessing) to fire lightning bolts to everyone around. I rush in an almost straight line then stop abruptly, sliding a few meters, digging into the dirt. My sword flashed 5 times and 5 bandits died, decapitated. The other 10 died due to my lightning strikes, straight to their heads.

The commotion causes the ones in the cave to rush out to check on what's happening. But when they come out of the cave, all they see are dead bodies, either cooked or bleeding on the ground.

"Check the vicinity and be careful." A level 8 high orc man says. The guys inside are stronger, with 2 of them being evolved. They group in threes and start walking around, but don't find anything. Then abruptly hear something heavy drop and something get sliced, coming from the cave. They see the high orc that was standing infront of the cave get sliced in half, from head to crotch. I jumped down from above the cave entrance and split him in half.

Before the orc dude can even split and fall, I'm already moving toward my next pray. The first 3 poor bandits can't even react properly. I sigh. Looks like everyone is dead. I head inside, slicing apart a few more bandits that are inside and eventually find the end of the cave. There are a bunch of things, women, gold, weapons, the usual. The women are in a pretty horrible condition, so I inspect them. But they are all quite weak, so I kill them all, putting them out of their misery. I pick up all the gold and anything valuable laying around and stash it. I quickly loot the bandits as well and then bid farewell to their generous hospitality. I even found some good alcohol there.

I stay true to my course, keeping my pace at a slight jog. I run into a monster every now and then, but nothing threatening.

"Fucking bitch." He yells, removes the scabbard from his sword and slashes at me.
