CHAPTER 9: ANNOYANCES

Jack then headed off to bed ready to start the second week of his new life feeling much better about it then when he started.

He woke up the next morning feeling extremely refreshed. He went right into his routine of going to the gym and then coming back home to shower and change for the day. When he finished changing after the shower, he looked through his telescope not finding anything interesting. He then heard a knock at the door.

He jogged downstairs "I'll get it."

Luckily Jenny was still in her room while Debbie heard him and stayed in the kitchen. He opened the door to see the Russian man from the game in an all-black suit.

Jack frowned "Can I help you?"

He was not scared in this moment because he did have his gun on him. However, he had no plans on showing it he felt like that would only escalate the situation. If you push came to shove though… we'll it would be his first time killing someone.

Dimitri had a smug greasy smile as he looked around from the doorway "Nice place."

Jack raised an eyebrow "It is. Who are you?"

Dimitri kept up his demeanor "I'm thinking you must be Frank's son."

Jack frowned "So what?"

Dimitri looked around "Not like it matters. Where's the nice lady that takes care of you?"

Jack kept frowning "Busy. You have something to say I'm the man of the house."

Dimitri scoffed "A talker I see. Your Dad was one too. Talked all way to the end. Like a frightened bunny."

Jack scratched the back of his head acting confused "I'm pretty sure bunnies don't talk."

Dimitri put his hands together "Either way our boss wants no more talking he wants his money back. Go tell the nice lady to be smart and pay up."

Jack crossed his arms "I think you should leave. We don't owe any money."

Dimitri chuckled "So the son has more of a spine then his father."

Dimitri continued "Listen kid…..."

He was interrupted however by Harold's partner Yumi coming up to the door.

Dimitri frowned "*tsk tsk* Police involvement not so good for you."

Yumi walked up and Jack shrugged "I didn't call them."

Dimitri gave a throat slicing motion with his finger "You give land lady a message. You tell her I come back here, and things will get ugly."

Yumi finally made it to the door "Excuse me who are you?"

Dimitri smiled "Me? I'm just an old friend paying respects."

Yumi frowned "I want to ask you a few questions."

Dimitri looked at his watch "I have no time for questions. Much to do. I go now."

Yumi raised her voice a bit "Now hold on a second."

Dimitri raised an eyebrow "Plan to arrest me officer?"

Yumi sighed "Well no…."

Dimitri nodded "That's what I thought. Have a good day kid."

Jack immediately closed the door as soon as he left leaving Yumi and Jack in the living room. Debbie came out of the kitchen "Who was that?"

Jack stepped in front of Yumi "It was just Yumi. She came by to check on us. Why don't you go grab her a water she's been working all morning."

Debbie smiled "Of course be right back."

Yumi raised an eyebrow "What are you doing kid?"

Jack tilted his head confused "Kid….? What are you two years older than me?"

Yumi sighed "If you must know I'm twenty-four."

Jack smiled "Well you could definitely pass for twenty. Listen don't tell Debbie. I want to handle this kind of stuff and not worry her. Let's head outside you can take my statement or whatever and just put his car in the system or something."

Yumi thought for a moment before sighing "Fine."

Debbie then came back in the kitchen with a glass of water that Yumi quickly drank. Jack smiled "Debbie I'm going to walk Yumi back to her car then I will come in for breakfast."

Debbie was slightly surprised "Oh... okay."

Debbie turned leaving the kitchen 'Maybe he liked the girl better give them some space.'

Jack and Yumi then walked outside where he told her exactly what happened. Yumi wrote down and took his statement. She got by her driver side door looking at Jack "These are serious people Jack be careful."

Jack nodded "I know but I can take care of the place."

Yumi nodded "Well call the police or my cell directly if anything happens. It definitely helps that Harold lives a couple doors down from you."

She then got in her police vehicle and drove off. Jack headed back inside eating breakfast before heading to school. After going to his gym class, he decided it was time to get help through Tony's friends.

Jack propped his bike next to the front door of Tony's pizza. He opened it and was greeted by a large smile from Tony "Jack my favorite delivery driver right on time."

Tony then saw Jack came in with more of a sullen look then the usual smile "Why the king face."

Jack sighed "Dimitri one of Raz's men came by my house today threatening my home. I think I need your friends help."

Tony nodded with a serious face "Skip work today. Head to the church an ask for Father Reeves. Tell him Tony sent you. I already messaged him prior. So, he will know it's you."

Jack gave a serious look "Thank you Tony I'll be back."

Tony Calle from out before he left "Jack…"

Jack turned around looking at Tony. He continued "I'm sure you will find out more about me but know this..."

He paused thinking for a moment "A strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others and the strongest man well… he only stands up once."

He then asked, "You get what I'm saying."

Jack nodded "I never start something I don't plan on finishing."

Tony watched Jack leave "That's my boy."

Jack left Tony's and headed towards the church on his bike. He entered the pristine white church and Priest Reeves towards the podium in front of the statue of Jesus.

Reeves turned around with a holy aura around him "How can I help another who walks with Christ?"

Jack walked up to him with a serious face "Tony said you could help me."

Reeves nodded becoming serious as the aura around him seemed to dissipate "Follow me."

They both walked into the confessional and Reeves pressed a button on the side. They started to lower as if they were in an elevator. When it stopped Jack looked around and widened his eyes as he saw a full armory with a firing range.

Reeves took off his priest robes revealing himself in an all-black suit. "I had to move here for certain reasons. Tony helped me build a cover, so I owe him a lot and training a kid sounds easy enough. Do you have a gun?"

Jack nodded as he pulled out his Glock. Reeves grabbed it and nodded "Not bad."

He then handed Jack the gun back with a silencer. "For the rest of the day you will be taking apart and putting the gun back together. You need to learn everything about the gun before firing. Training starts now."

Jack quickly nodded as he got right to work with his new teacher.
