1 Suicidal Call

In a small town where nothing out of the ordinary happens Mia Jones was sitting at her desk working on a school project. Her long blonde hair up in a high pony tail as it always is with her hazel eyes focused on the screen, the final project of the school year, her long nails painted hot pink clicking on the keyboard. Graduation was only two weeks away she was ready to move on to college to become a veterinarian, colleges lined up to take her in.

Out of nowhere her phone buzzed startling her, she looked at her phone with a smile on her face. Carson Warren's name came promptly on her phone screen with a picture of a blue eyed boy with brown hair and a giant grin on his face.

"Hey babe." Mia answered. "What are you doing shouldn't you be working on your project?"

"Uh.. Yeah I-I guess." Carson responded.

"Um.. Babe are you okay, you sound frightened. Blink twice if you need my help!" She said with a giggle. Nothing out of Carson. "It was a joke... Anyway what did you need? How are you doing?"

"Actually.. I haven't been doing well." He said with a sniffle. Mia jolted up when she heard the sniffle

he's never cried in front of her.

"Wh-what's wrong b-babe." Mia said with a stutter.

"I just feel like my life isn't worth it!" He yelled into the speaker of his phone. "Listen, before I go.. Take care of my parents and c-can you distribute my stuff to our friends.. It-it doesn't matter who gets what.. I-I don't mind." He said lowering his voice.

"Babe listen to me. Please don't do this! Please! Babe, I love you please, don't do this." She was pleading. At this point she was sobbing, she could hear her parents start to come up the stairs.

"I'm sorry, I love you, too." Carson said.

Mia heard a gun shot. She screamed a blood curdling scream. On the other line she heard Mr. and Mrs. Warren scream and wail. His mom frantically calling 911 begging for an ambulance immediately. Mia's parents burst through her door finding Mia and the floor sobbing. Trying to get out the words explaining to her parents what happened.

"Oh-oh no!" her mom said looking sickly as she ran out of the room down the stairs and out the door, Carson lived just down the road from their house. Mia could hear sirens making her more hysterical. She threw on flip-flops and bolted out of the door bounding after her mom.
