Chapter 14: Baking.

The next day, Rin woke up and ask Makino to teach her how to bake. Makino agrees and started giving Rin lessons about baking.

"So just pour the finished batter into the pan and put it in the oven at . . . ." Rin mumbles to herself.

"Rin there's no need to be too serious about it..." said Makino.

"Ah! Sorry Makino!" said Rin as she snapped out of it.

"Do you always tends to get serious on the smallest things?" Makino asked.

"Not really only sometimes..." Rin said. ' I need to get the money as soon as possible but I shouldn't get too serious... If push come to shove I'll just keep an eye on Luffy and ambush the place Luffy got captured at with my bo staff and stall time till Ace and Sabo came to defeat them.' Rin thought.

= Few Days Later =

"Status." Rin whispered to the system.

Rin already got the 10 000B for completing the first part of the quest. ' I need to raise the skill until level 3... At this pace I should be able to complete the quest in a little over one week or so.' Rin thought.

"Rin. Rin! RIN!!" Makino yelled.

Hearing Makino's yell, Rin turn to her and ask "W-what is it?"

"I tried calling you for a while already! The cookies in the oven gonna burn if you don't get it out!!" said Makino.

As soon as Rin heard what Makino said she quickly get the cookies out it the oven. "Good it isn't burn yet..." Rin said.

"*sigh* You've been spacing out a lot these few days... are you okay?" asked Makino.

"Yeah I'm okay." Rin answered Makino who still have a worried face.

After a while Rin packed the cookies and start going to Mt. Corvo. She goes to the bandits shack and knocked. She have been going to Dadan's place for the few days bringing snacks for them. Dadan opens the door and welcome Rin in with a smile.

"Rin! You came again." said Dogra to Rin who is entering.

"Yeah I did! This time I brought cookies!!" Rin said with a smile. She hands over the basket which have cookies in it to Dogra. She look around and then ask "Is Luffy still chasing after Ace?"

"That brat won't stop chasing after Ace even if we told him to stop!!" said Dadan angrily.

"!!" Rin thought of an idea. "Hey Dadan wanna make a bet??" Rin asked.

"?? What?" Dadan ask out of confusion.

"Let's make a bet on wether Luffy will befriended Ace in three months or not." Rin stated what the bet is.

"Why three months and what do I even get from a bet like that?" Dadan said.

"If Luffy befriended Ace in three months or lest you'll do me three favors but if it's already three months and Ace still running away from Luffy I'll do work around the shack for one year." Rin said with confident.

Dadan smile at how serious Rin is and said "Sure kid! But because you're still a small kid and I like you so you only need to do work for four months. Deal?"

"DEAL!!" Rin answered while smiling with confidence.

After the cookies is finished Rin went back to the bar and continues her baking lessons. For now she need to focus on raising the skill's level and after Luffy befriended Ace she can ask Dadan for three favors.
