"I'm going in there. Just text me your location later, and I'll meet you later." Guan Tong said to Lu Han.

"I'll go in there with you." Lu Han said.

"What?" Guan Tong was confused. She didn't know why Lu Han would want to meet the Lin family or what his plan was.

"What? You don't want me to go in there? They're my in-laws, and I have to go greet them." Lu Han insisted as he got off the plane. 

Guan Tong could not change Lu Han's mind. Since this man wanted to go, then he could come with her. If something were to happen, it was beyond her control.

"Uncle Tang, bring the wheelchair over." She could not carry Lu Han, so he had to be taken in a wheelchair. "Let's settle Miss Qiao down first."

Qiao Ran did not see Guan Tong and Lu Han when they got off the plane. She was furious that nobody had told her what was going on. Uncle Tang quickly drove the car to the Lin family. Even though the Lin family was a prominent figure in Beijing, they were not as prestigious as the Lu family. Not by a long shot. The housekeeper of the Lin family was watering the flowers outside. He saw a Lincoln parked outside with a Beijing license plate.

"Excuse me..." The housekeeper of the Lin family walked over and asked.

Uncle Tang got out of the car and calmly announced their presence. "The Lu family is here."

These two simple words stunned the Lin family's housekeeper. Of course, he knew about the Lu family. The housekeeper of the Lin family pretended to be calm. 

"Please wait a moment. I will go in and let Madam know." The housekeeper looked calm, but his footsteps were a little unsteady.

"Madam, Madam..." A frantic noise was heard by Zhang Lin, who was sitting on a sofa. She was drinking tea and reading her newspaper. "What's wrong? Why are you so freaked out?" Zhang Lin was in a good mood today. She frowned when she saw the housekeeper's flustering actions.

"Someone... someone from the Lu family is here." The housekeeper said.

"The Lu family? Which of them? Zhang Lin paused. She was guessing which member from the Lu family decided to visit her.

"Quick, quick, quick. Is that ugly girl here alone, or is the Young Master of the Lu family here also?" Not only was Zhang Lin flustered, but the housekeeper was in a total panic as well. "I'm sorry, Madam. I don't know. I couldn't see clearly!"

"D*mn it!!" Zhang Lin cursed. It would have been easier if that ugly girl had come alone. However, Zhang Lin changed her mind. So what if Lu Han came with her? After all, he was in a comatose state— he was paralyzed! 

With this thought, Zhang Lin regained her composure. "Bring her in."

"Yes, Madam." The housekeeper replied.

Uncle Tang was impatient waiting outside. This Lin family was only a small family, yet they dared to make the Young Master wait for so long. However, he remembered that the Lin family was the Madam's family after all.

"Don't worry, it's fine. I'm here by your side. This is your first-time returning home, so you should have someone accompanying you. However, they're being discourteous. Let's wait for the next time. I'll teach them some manners." Guan Tong was stunned. She didn't expect Lu Han to say such words. He made her feel warm, which made Guan Tong feel strange.

"You don't have to do this." Guan Tong tried to brush away Lu Han's words.

"We are husband and wife. Whatever our problem is, we'll face it together." Guan Tong knew that they were husband and wife, but it was the first time she heard it from Lu Han's mouth. Guan Tong felt even stranger in her heart. She didn't know how long they could pretend to be husband and wife.

"Madam, please come out." The housekeeper walked out and opened the door for them to enter. Guan Tong pushed the wheelchair out. Lu Han sat on it with his eyes closed. He was pretending to be a coma patient as hard as he could.

After getting out of their car, Guan Tong carefully looked around the Lin family mansion. It had been many years since the last time she visited. This was also where she ate and played when she was young. This was her home, and now it looked nothing like what she remembered. 

When Guan Tong entered the hall, she saw Zhang Lin sitting on the sofa. Zhang Lin's eyes widened when she saw Guan Tong come in. Zhang Lin didn't believe what her housekeeper told her, but now it was clear. The b*tch was indeed still alive and well.

"Fei'er...Fei'er is back…" Zhang Lin was frightened, and she unnaturally spoke to Guan Tong. Guan Tong never saw Zhang Lin as her mother anyway, so she only nodded.

"This? This is Lu…?" Zhang Lin originally wanted to call Lu Han by his full name, but when she saw Uncle Tang's cold gaze, she forcefully held her tongue back. "Welcome, Young Master Lu..." Zhang Lin respectfully greeted him.

"Madam Lin, this is the first time our Young Madam has returned home. This is a small token of our Young Master's appreciation. Please accept it." Although Lu Han knew about the conflict between Guan Tong and the Lin family, he prepared something as a gift. After all, Guan Tong's grandmother depended on the Lin family, and Lu Han would make them pay in the future.

Uncle Tang gestured, and soon a group of bodyguards carried the gifts into the hall. They placed them in the living room corner, and they piled up into a small hill. Zhang Lin forced a smile when she saw so many gifts. 'What was up with this little b*tch giving her gifts and all?'

"Thank you, Young Master Lu." Zhang Lin gratefully thanked Lu Han.

"Mother, are there guests today?" Lin Fei, who had just finished attending the party, walked in at that moment. Zhang Lin saw Lin Fei and panicked. Why would her daughter decide to come home at this time?

"Ahem, Tongtong." Zhang Lin quickly winked at Lin Fei, signaling her to pretend she wasn't Lin Fei.

As Lin Fei came in, she saw Guan Tong and Lu Han. She was stunned when she saw Lu Han. The man was handsome. He looked better than any celebrity that she had ever seen.
