I actually really enjoyed this! It's the classic "forced to substitute for her sister to marry the ["undesirable" trait] guy" but this time BOTH leads are substitutes. I was a little worried the ML would have no reason to be a substitute, but it seems like the author put in some amount of thought as to why he would be in such a place. The fact that he knows she's a substitute, but is also waiting for her to bring it up and the guilt that she feels lying to him also make for an interesting dynamic. I really enjoyed the FL's character - you really understand WHY she doesn't just ask her husband for help which stops her for being irritating. All in all, I hope this gets picked as it's probably one of the better trial reads.
== impression as of ch 30 == Mo Yan marries a pauper in the country in place of her sister to get 500K yuan to pay for her mother's medical fees and brother tuition. On her wedding night her husband "Lu Che" doesn't force them to consummate their marriage. She treats him sincerely by cooking his meals and thinking about how to go about their future with their living conditions. "Lu Che" continues his daily life by doing nothing of excessively exercising. He doesn't use his real identity to help Mo Yan until the Mo family bullies her and he works silently to help her and not expose his real identity. He's waiting for her to tell him about her real identity but she decides to shoulder all the issues herself. I think this is an interesting set up as both of them are stand in bride and grooms. One of my biggest issue with the novel is the female lead. She comes off as someone strong who is willing to stand up for herself but everything goes wrong for an opportunity for the male lead to help her aka the "Mary Sue" tag. I'd like a little balance in her actually being to stand her ground and fight for herself a bit. I do think it's double standards for the male lead to expect her to tell her real identity to him when he won't expose his own to her. I do have questions behind our male lead as we don't have much information about him yet. Where's the real Lu Che and why did he take on the identity of Lu Che. One thing I commend is how he treats her with respect and doesn't use his attraction to her to use her body under the pretense of being married. I think is novel is great for those who likes false identity swaps, powerful male lead, and possibly some sweet moments between the two later. However right now, we are seeing the female lead jump through hoops to be the money maker while the male lead sits back at home
When does she find out that he is rich? I stopped reading this at ch70 and it still wasnāt revealed. I got bored so I stopped. If someone can, please tell me when the FL discouvers the real identity of the ML. Thanks. Maybe Iāll continue it after that. At the beginning, it progresses pretty fast but it slows down a lot after like maybe ch30. Iām not a huge fan of the FL. I donāt have the right words to describe her, but she is āweakā. Sheās giving off vibes of being insecure (?). Well, I mean she is pretending to be someone else. The ML, heās kinda trash. He know she is fake and know her real identity. And up to this point, he is āusing herā but at the same time he is protecting for some āunknown reasonā. ML stays in the background. You think he does things for the FL but in reality to drive the plot he is also kinda useless and letās the FL to get hurt over and over again. Nothing is really done to the āattempted-rapistā. He got beat up. Thatās it. Wasnāt fired. Wasnāt jailed. Basically nothing. So this novel is probably one that keeps all the characters that is introduced to the end. Some word choices by the translation is uh sometimesā¦there couldāve been a better word for it.
Truly a captivating, beautiful and inspirational novel! Perfect balance between chill and exiting! Main characters both have both flaws and good qualities making them almost real! This book also touches on real world everyday situations. Best romance book Iāve read! Please continue adding chapters! :)
Don't read. I don't like to criticise books. but this book disappointed me. the beginning of the book was good. the middle was also good. the ends socks. terrible. it's like the author just wanted to end the book. the most exciting thing should be the part where everyone finds out about tao's real identity. but it is so boring and ridiculous. I hate that I wasted my time on this. don't read
The title itself, is already an eye catching from the start, "substitute bride husband is an invincible man". As if something great will gonna be happen to the FL.. It makes me wanna open and read it upon noticing in my library. Coupled with the word 'TRENDING' on top of the title.. I immediately open it with out a a second thought.. 1st i noticed is the name of the FL, upon reading it.i just like, ā¤ļø at first sight.can u imagine it just a name alone..I can assume at the very least, that this novel is already included in one of my to do listš
i just finished reading this novel , the overall story was good and not so many long , unrelavent plots were there but the end of the story, I feel like its incomplete.so many plots weren't clear like who was Chang's father, who were trying to kill Hou zhen again and again ,they just finished this just like that . i just feel like its's kinda incomplete
