1||Wolf Mask

A black haired figure wearing a wolf mask sighed as he watched the city from the edge of a tall building, catching sight of multiple couples passing by, as well as a few friend groups laughing and chatting away.

His gaze wandered to one particular girl in her little friend group, an annoyed but embarrassed expression on her face as she scolded her friends. The tall figure turned the volume controls on his mask until he could hear the girls' voices. "Aw, don't be so shy, Mayu!" one teased, then the main one, the one he was looking at, puffed her cheeks. "Shut up! It's not like that!"

'Oh, so it's about a boy...' he thought, chuckling.

He heard the transmitter on the other ear of his mask beep, pulling him out of his train of thoughts and prompting him to answer the call. He started talking while listening to passing strangers' conversations and checking if anything was out of the ordinary.

"Em, how's it look up there?" a sharp, high-pitched voice sounded through the tiny thing, causing the raven-haired male to wince a little. Even if the tramsmitter wasn't that close to his ear, his best friend's voice sounded as piercingly loud as ever. His violet gaze wandered to the screen before he looked down at the city once again, giving his response. "Not bad, really." He answered monotonously, and he could practically hear the eye-rolling through the phone. And that was when he caught a glance of a shady looking group of men grabbing hold of those girls from earlier, smirking at them and suggesting a whole plethora of unsavory things. "C'mon, Em. I'm serious." "Since when..." the tall male paused, stretching as he stood up at the edge of the building, never taking his gaze off of the men and the girls, "...have you ever been serious, Shiori?" "Wha- I can be serious you know!" the girl exclaimed through the phone, annoyed. "Really?" the raven-haired male retorted, "I had no idea." "Asshole-" "Shi, I'm headed down for a bit." he said, suddenly cutting Shiori off, "What?" "Later." "Wait, Emmett!" everything Shiori said at that point was muffled out by the boy's own thoughts as he was suddenly enveloped in a bright purple light before disappearing from the edge of that building. "Em? Oh, forget it..."

"Hey, mister." the man looked at the tall male that'd grabbed hold of his arm, his eye twitching slightly in annoyance. "What the hell do you want, asshole?" he said, and the black haired male spoke. "You might wanna leave the little miss alone, she looks quite uncomfortable from where I'm standing." the man turned to face him, already balling his hands into fists. "Listen here, kid. Why don't you go mind your own damn business?" the raven-haired figure chuckled before looking up, showing his wolf-like mask to the man. "I'm afraid I can't, now that you've pissed me off." "You little– Come here!" the man exclaimed as he threw a punch at the tall ravenette, which he easily dodged before punching said man in the gut.

He groaned pain, clutching his stomach. "Now you've done it..." he muttered, then looked over at his two companions. "Get the damn brat!" they nodded, and the tall violet-eyed male turned to the girls, "You ladies might wanna back up a bit," he paused, dodging one swing from one of the men, the other one managing to crack off half of his mask, "Things might get a bit messy."

"What? Will you be okay?" one girl asked, and he nodded, "I'll manage...

... now back up."

A bright purple light enveloped him once again, and he disappeared.

"Huh?" the three men, as well as the crowd watching them, looked around, searching for the tall ravenette wearing that wolf mask. "The hell did he..." the first man's eyes widened as he realized something, then turned to face the other two, "He's a tilemetanthro..."

They heard a chuckle behind them, and turned around only to be met with a pair of bright purple eyes. "Ding, ding, ding! Here's a prize for you, junior!" he said he punched the one in the middle. In the face. Hard.

...It knocked him out.

"Now scram, perverts. And you better apologize." the purple-eyed male said, causing the other two men to run while shakily apologizing to the girls. The crowd applauded, and the raven-haired male gave them a nod of his head, then picked up the half of his mask that broke off before disappearing in a bright flash of light once again, and suddenly, he was back up that building from before. He picked his phone up, and noticed that his best friend had hung up on him. He scoffed and took what remained of his mask off revealing the rest of his pale, procelain-like face, observing it and clicking his tongue. "Damn. They nearly broke the whole thing..." he muttered.

Emmett Crossfire. Species: Half tilemetanthro, half human. Nationality: American. Special Traits: Teleportation, purple eyes, bluish black hair. Age: 23... decades.

Are you confused? Alright then, let's start from the beginning...

In the late 2040s, scientists from all around the world discovered at least 6 subspecies of humans, as well as multiple other completely new species. One group of scientists were curious as to what would happen if they merged human DNA with one of the newer species' DNA, their candidate being the tilemeterata—a tall, boney humanoid species that had the ability to teleport, and also were able to live longer lives than humans, like most of tge newly discovered species. They tried and failed to actually create a living hybrid, and eventually, all of them gave up. All but one.

One scientist decided to try a few methods of his own, and after a while, he thought of a method that just might've worked. And it did.

He successfully turned 5 human adults into a new human subspecies. The tilemetanthro. However, one went rogue and escaped the from his lab.

He went around the city wreaking havoc, and had raped a young Magissanthro, one human subspecies that had supernatural abilities. He almost devoured her whole until someone stepped in and tranquilized the tilemetanthro before he could teleport away. Months later, that same Magissanthro gave birth to Emmett Crossfire, the... 'young' prodigy of the Ashu Hogo Organization in Japan, an organization that protected humans and other species from hostile subspecies.

I wonder, what else could be in store for our 23 year-- err, decade old Emmett?
