Track and Field

Jason walked onto the field with a grin covering his face. He was wearing the school's P.E uniform which was a simple white t-shirt and black shorts.

When he walked out he immediately noticed that everyone seemed to move into their own groups of friends, leaving Jason in the middle of the field with almost anyone near him.

Jason looked around awkwardly wondering what he should do, he looked at a group of girls on the far left of him. He hoped that maybe he could join them or something. But as he slowly walked over to them.

They seemed to enclose themselves into a literal wall using their backs. Jason stopped dead in his tracks seeing the impenetrable wall that was the girl's circle and gave up.

Jason was a bit sad at the fact that they would avoid him, they probably didn't like him or something. But in reality, the reason why that group of people enclosed themselves was the exact opposite that Jason was thinking.

So Jason spent the period of time awkwardly looking around, he was too nervous to approach another group a few of the dudes were giving him hostile glares even as he took a single step towards them and he didn't want to get rejected again like before. His heart could only take so much.

But then a sudden realization hit Jason

"wait, I can just destroy them all in track and field"

Boops shouted out as if Jason had finally figured out the secret to the universe

"FRICKING FINALLY I WAS GETTING BORED HERE"

Jason with his confidence regained in an unnatural way. Walked over to where the P.E teacher was calling them over.

After a small explanation. The teacher lead them to the long jump the first event.

Jason watched as both guy and girl ran and jumped as far as they could with interest.

Boops whispered softly to Jason even though he didn't need to

"okay Jason remember the entire point of this small trip to school is to get points, so ya gotta kick all of their butts in each of the events just, uh don't overdo it"

Jason might not have heard the last part and walked to the starting point in the long jump.

Now Jason's agility, was, to say the least, on a monstrous level. Every since his real-world status and game status were bound. His body changed. How isn't completely certain but the effects were very clear.

Jason dug his feet into the sand and gathered his energy into his legs. He sucked in a deep breath and took off.

Reese was just a regular girl that was part of the P.E class. She sat with her friends watching carefully the long figure of a boy getting ready to attempt the long jump.

Reese happened to be part of the group of girls that had inadvertently shunned Jason. They were now all carefully watching Jason.

Reese and the rest of the girls next to her sucked in a deep breath as Jason rolled back his shoulders in the coolest fashion ever known to man. One of the girls muttered softly

"danggg"

And all of the girls all agreed with her internally.

Silence descended upon the entire group of watchers as Jason bent down into a running position.

Reese held her breath. And she blinked. Yeah, she blinked, like who doesn't? but once she opened her eyes again she saw Jason hurtling towards the end of the running path like a literal bullet flying out of a gun.

Reese's eyes followed Jason as he leapt off of the red mark that signalled the end of the running path. Reese was pretty sure he was flying or something since it looked like was literally jumping on air.

Jason was 7 feet high just from his vertical jump and as he soared towards the sandpit he didn't even try and tuck his body in. Instead, he fell in a superhero like pose with his left foot extended out.

The entire class watched with eyes wide open and mouths hanging out as Jason landed neatly onto the solid ground a few feet in front of the sandpit.

Jason nodded to himself in satisfaction, yeah, that was a good jump he thought to himself.

Meanwhile, Boops was almost about to piss himself from laughing (though he couldn't actually, well, do the deed)

Jason looked back at his little audience and saw that none of them was responding. He peered at them curiously for a few seconds. But after getting no response he shrugged his shoulders and walked back into the school buildings to get some water.

As Jason stepped into the building. Loud screams and yells of amazement came from the track field. Boops was still luaghing while Jason was more concerned with where the nearest water fountain was.

Back at the field, Reese was one of the loudest people who was screaming in amazement. She looked at one of her friends. Her friend nodded back in a solemn manner.

The Jason fan club had been reborn.

Reese was just a regular girl, part of the P.E class. That was her identity. But now she was a member of the Jason fan club, a place she joined out of sheer desperation.

It took a solid 3 minutes for the entire class to calm down. Even the P.E teacher was still trying to comprehend what just happened.

He was constantly muttering to himself as he guided the class over to the track where they would run.

"Did I see that right? I'm pretty sure that he broke some records or something, is he on steroids? am I on steroids?"

Many more members of the class were also having existential crises like the poor P.E teacher. While the select few like Reese and her friends were just amazed at Jason and didn't care much about anything else.

Jason finally returned back to the class after finally finding a water fountain. The class was just about to go on a mile run. The mile run for the track the Kanto region had required a person to run 4 laps to complete a mile.

Jason tried to quietly join the group as they all got on the starting line. But now everyone was staring at him. Silently without a single word being spoken. Just pure disbelief and confusing written all over their faces.

Jeff was a regular high schooler. He wanted the things a regular high schooler would have, a girlfriend, popularity, good looks, money all of that. Those were all things he wanted. And that person right next to him.

Jason. A random new student that had been the talk of the school a few months ago but had suddenly disappeared. Now that student stood next to him preparing to run the mile.

Jeff gritted his teeth and he looked at Jason. Some people were just naturally born with gifts. And as Jeff surveyed Jason he could see that Jason was born with something he didn't have.

Jeff clenched his fist. No, that wasn't true, if he worked hard enough he could get whatever Jason had.

The looks? well, that wasn't going to happen, Jason was hot even for Jeff. The athletic ability, pfft yeah right. The Popularity? Reese the most popular and pretty girl in the class was giving Jason a look that he had only seen in his dreams.

"I've lost" Jeff said to himself sadly.

But a roaring fire of courage seemed to overcome him. "No, he said, ill best him in the mile run and then I will be the popular one!"

So the class got into their ready stance. With two students apparently competing one was treating the other as a deadly rival while the other was still thinking about how stupid it was to place the water fountain so far away from the track field.

The whistle set the class off running. Jeff started off strong pumping his arms in a continuous motion.

He saw Jason's back in frount of him, but that was okay. Slow and steady wins the race as they say.

A few seconds passed. And once again Jeff heard Jason behind him. Jeff was so focused on running that when he "passed" Jason he was so surprised he almost stopped running. Jeff congratulated himself.

But then stopped to ask a question to himself

"wait, why didn't I see him when I passed? and why is he getting closer?"

A sudden realization struck Jeff like a bolt of lightning and he started to sprint with an expression that screamed out

"nonononononono"

Jason's rhythmic breathing got closer and closer to Jeff as Jeff desperately waved and flapped his arms about.

"NOT LIKE THIS" Jeff screamed out in his head as Jason lapped him before Jeff could even reach the halfway mark for the first lap.

While Boops was getting a flood of notifications of despair and depression points from Jeff. Jason was still thinking about how water fountains should be filtered since the water that he got tasted like swamp water.
