Rocky held his breath and let out a loud roar.

All of the rats in the vicinity turned towards Rocky and started to aim towards him the flood of rats turned into a concentrated stream pointed straight towards Rocky.

The moment the first rat got within arms reach of Rocky he raised his mace and slammed down with a heavy blow

A chunk of the rats flew off as Rocky slammed his mace into them. But he quickly pulled back moving with a quick leap back as he retracted his mace with a big grunt.

Perseus and Jason were right there, Jason was already throwing as many long-ranged weapons such as the metal skewers into the flood of giant rats while Perseus sprinted up closer to the pack and gingerly danced between the tiny minuscule gaps left stabbing them in their weak spots with perfect precision.

Jason watched Rocky employ his skills with a slight twinge of jealously. He kinda wished that he had more active skills, most of his were precise attacks and forms that gave him stat bonuses. The vast majority was just passive skills, and at that moment Jason desperately wanted more active ones.

Perseus ran back, with a horrified expression on his face as he held his sword with both hands as he looked over the new crack in the blade.

The horde of giant rates right behind bitting at his retreating figure. Jason charged towards the horde, the red aura around his sword slowly glowing brighter with a more intense light as it continued to coat Jason's sword.

Jason thought, and Jason could feel something moving towards his legs and arms, enhancing his speed and making his arms reinforced and solid.

He took off, almost leaping towards the group of rats in huge leaps and bounds. As Jason got closer and the horde of rats got more illuminated by the red glow his sword gave off. He realized he was not going to be able to charge into it and jumped.

With his legs enhanced with the second form and his numerous training days. Jason easily leaped to the maximum height of the ceiling on the dungeon.

He soared towards a part of the crowd which looked thicker than most.

And that was when Jason heard a loud smash, he slightly turned his head as he fell down, to see Rocky charging into the horde of rats headlong chasing after him.

Rocky and Jason made eye contact the entire time, Rocky had the will to help out Jason, he was not going to let him fall into the horde of giant rats alone.

Jason smiled at Rocky and turned back around, he fell even faster and dove straight down, he pulled out his sword and pulled back his sword for a huge swing.

Jason's sword which was giving off a soft red aura suddenly burst forth into a bright blue it acted almost like a flashbang as the sudden transition illuminated the dungeon's walls and floor.

The old floor had a huge layer of dust and dirt with some moss growing over the malls, and most terrifyingly the swarm of monsters clamoring and letting out loud shrieks as Jason fell faster.

Jason spun back around so that he was facing the ground and as he reached 2 meters away he trust out with his glowing sword.

Like the ripple on a pond when a pebble is thrown in. The ground shook in shockwaves temporarily blasting the rats away from Jason's position in a small circle.

Jason landed lightly as a large number of blue flecks flew into the air.

In the damp dark cave, with fluorescent moss and the glowing blue flakes serving as the only source of light. Jason emerged his face and black hair being lit up in the whirlwind of blue flakes. His amour cold and impervious as he gazed coldly at the monsters that surrounded him as he was light up with blue flecks as he stood in the clear area.

Jason let out small grin of excitement as he looked around. The giant rats slowly got closer and closer to him, baring their sharp teeth as they stared at him with red beady eyes.

Jason wasn't going to wait for the giant rats to swarm up to him, and jumped into the crowd his sword flashing while Boops warned him in a worried voice about how he was probably going to be swallowed up.

Jason didn't respond but just smiled as he swung his sword in a wide arc clearing a small space as his sword collided with rats in the vicinity.

The (piercing strike) had already been used up and Jason injected mana into his sword as a small replacement. The sword glowed with a blue light, but it wasn't as brightly as before, the giant rats hissed and backed up as the blue light shone upon them. They shrunk back to the edges of the ring of blue light from Jason's sword in terror.

Jason ran in again his sword pulled back for a mighty thrust, one of the bolder rats leapt towards him its mouth wide open and its claws pointed towards Jason's head. Jason thrust with his sword, his sword pierced into the rats mouth and Jason could hear the loud crunch of bones as the giant rat stopped dead on Jason's sword as it slowly screeched to a halt and dissipated into blue flakes.

The rest of the rats looking at their fallen comrade dissipate into blue flecks collectively let out a hiss of anger and surged towards Jason.

Jason leapt back using his skill (dodge) as 4 pairs of claws tore through the air at where he was just a second ago.

Now desperate, Jason looked around for an escape. Sadly being surrounded by giant rats in a narrow abandoned mine was not an ideal place to be at.

Boops was still questioning Jason's sanity for jumping in the horde of rats.

Jason brain kicked into overdrive he glanced everywhere looking for a way out, of course, he could brute force his way out, but getting swarmed from a group as large as the giant rats meant he would get claws or bitten to death.

He looked around and saw the narrow mine walls and let out a small grin.

Perseus and Rocky stood in the hallway, Rocky dug his feet into the ground as giant rats leapt towards him, crashing and clawing at his shield. His arms shook, his legs felt like noodles and he felt lightheaded as the force of the rats pushed harder and harder against him.

Just when Rocky thought he wasn't going to be able to hold them back any longer. Perseus jumped in his sword flashed in the light of the glowing blue flakes as he slashed stabbed and swung his sword furiously until the rats momentarily retreated.

The giant rats look at Rocky and Perseus with caution from a distance of 10 meters. Perseus turned to Rocky, and nodded as he stood in front of Rocky with his sword out.

And then even under the loud chattering and hisses of the giant rats. The clear sound of footsteps was heard echoing through the corridor.

Both Perseus and Rocky looked to where the sound of footsteps were coming from a feeling of dread in their hearts as they heard the sound increase in speed and intensity.

A blue glow caught both of theirs attention, and Jason emerged wall running while a group of giant rats rushed underneath his feet snapping and biting at his feet as he continued to pump his legs harder to continue to run up the wall.

Rocky's mouth dropped while Perseus let out a small grin and chuckle as he watched Jason run across the wall his feet surrounded with a small blue and green light.

Jason glanced down and checked the group of giant rats chasing him. He could feel his grip slipping as his momentum started to fall.

He was so glad Boops reminded him that he could use (Shunpo). Sadly the range wasn't as far as Jason had hoped and he could only run to the wall.

So there Jason was running, he had managed to move some mana to his legs as he ran.

Jason spotted Perseus and Rocky and leapt down, he swung his sword down at the crowd of rats that were keeping up with him.

With a loud crash Jason fell to the ground, the rats tried to dodge but Jason swung his sword cutting most of them in half before any of them got close.

Jason dropped to his knees as a giant rat flew straight over his head, its claws swiping where Jason's head was a moment ago.

He rose and started to sprint towards Rocky and Perseus. Perseus raised his sword and seemed to be focusing closing his eyes as Jason ran closer and closer to them.

Jason slid past the line Rocky and Perseus was holding with the large horde of rats now diminished but still threatening.

Perseus opened his eyes, a gold and blue color swirled in them as he slashed down a wave of blue energy appeared from the tip of the sword enlarging as it covered the width of the ground charing straight towards the horde of rats.

The rats fell to the blue energy, it disintegrated until they turned into blue flecks.

The wave of energy continued for a bit until it finally dissipated but not without taking more then 40 of the giant rats.

Jason turned to Perseus with confusion as Perseus returned with a smug grin.

"heh, I was waiting to show it off"

Boops let out a small laugh and said to Jason

'its a new skill he got taught to him by one of the NPC adventurers, its kinda like his ultimate aoe skill'

Jason looked back at Perseus who was grinning as he watched the rats shriek in fear and retreat into the depths of the dungeon.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THAT SOONER?"
