SUBNAUTICA:LP15-GR41 Life Report

[REQUEST:ACCESS AURORA FILE] [SCANNING...] [ACCESS:CONFIRMED] [WELCOME,ADMIRAL.] [SYNOP:It seems only one has survived on this deep hell of a planet. His files have been kept as he has not returned, but there is ongoing data detailing his lifestyle here. His name is unknown, codenamed 'Grayson' by Alice.] (My own view of the Subnautica Game,a bit of a Captain's diary.

Personnel Report:GR41 || #3 "Bigger fish" 1/2

I had been spending the rest of my week making a Habitat comfortable enough to live in. It had most of the needed commodities,a sonar room,a bed, suitable power, the works. Thankfully larger Habs were still apart of the damaged database of information. Freshly installed,it was a vacant, apartment sized room.

My PDA begins emitting an urgent alert signal.

"WARNING;

Detecting increased local radiation levels.

Trend is consistent with damage to the Aurora's drive core sustained during planetfall. Urgency must be taken to repair the drive core to minimum funtional capacity.

Radiation readings suggest the Aurora's drive core has recently reached critical state.

A Nuclear Class detonation will occur within 2 hours. Evacuate the Aurora and it's surrounding area of 1.5 Kilometers."

I gently groan,pinching my brow...

"I might as well see her off. Its the least I can do.."

I return to the escape pod, climbing to the top with a bottle of water. I look to the Aurora while it was still whole. I gently chuckle..

"Do you remember when I first boarded? Maaan...So bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. You coulda painted the walls a whole new color with my mood. We've visited and serveyed so many different planets..Saw so many creatures...now look at you. Nobody alive but me to bat an eye at you in your dying breaths...Im...sorry.....you had to go out like this.."

I spent the next two hours remembering the past with the Aurora,as if she were a responsive person. Happy and sad memories passed through, all of them pulled tears..

Another urgent nessage lit up my PDA on the final minutes..

"Emergency: A detonation has occurred in the Aurora's drive core.

The reactor will reach terminal detonation in T- Minus 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, ....4-4-4.... 3..... 2-2.....1....."

The front end of the Aurora detonates, sending out radiation soaked winds and scattering large chunks of hull. Many pieces landed near the pod, almost hitting in some cases...

After a while the rain of debris stopped.

I opened the bottle of water, beginning to cry softly as I poured out the water. "Goodbye...old friend..."

"Mourning the loss of a ship is a natural reaction to isolation. Remember to keep momentos of the Aurora when you find them to improve your mental health. For your closure the radiation suit has been added to your blueprint database to promote exploration of the Aurora's wreckage, and protect against the ambient radiation emitted by the wreckage."

"Thats the first most reassuring thing youve said all week,Alice..." I said as I regained my composure.

I slide down into the escape pod, feeling somewhat distant.

"Grayson?"

"Yes,Alice?"

"The radiaton emitted by the Aurora has weakened my scanning range. Improvements can be made by exploring the wreckage."

"So you want me to go to your AI core?"

"Legal ramifications suggest you would be charged with theft of a shipboard AI,but you are correct."

I gently sigh, heading back to my Habitat to check for materials to weave a radiation suit. "This is crazy, you know. That ship is bound to be unstable, structurally. Is your core even still intact?"

"Prior to public knowledge,AI cores are kept away from Drive Cores in the aft end of the ship for immediate retrieval in case of catastrophic crash landing."

I began running the fabricator with the requested needs.

"So how would I get you out? Not like I can carry a 20-ton computer." I said, checking the finished radiation equipment before slipping it on.

"All shipboard AI have a protocol that ejects the AI itself along with all relevent data into an upgrade chip. This chip can be used in Habitats or Submersibles to expand upon my mobility and use. However this may result in an untimely arrest upon reaching any Alterran Outposts for an immediate Psychiatric Review."

"Remind me to tell my C.O. why ive already broken 30 Alterra regultions. Because being stranded is totally not a reason to perform emergency protocol."

"Your note had been preserved for later investigation."

I gently sigh and slip the radiation gear on.

"All right...Lets go poke the Aurora's corpse." I said as I headed back down to the habitat to collect the rest of my equipment.

With a seaglide ready,I left camp in the direction of the Aurora. Along the way my suit's giegermeter gently clicked, growing more aggressive as I approched the wreckage. The water began to get murky from sand and radiaton permeating the water.

I approached the destroyed end of the aurora, the water clearing slightly. Beyond the hull, something big was circling about in the vacant space.

An ear-shattering roar emits, forcing me to the surface to allow my ears to recover. I dove back down, observing the long creature. It was red and white, almost half the length of a Cyclops, with front appendages that resembled crab legs.

Warning:Predatory Leviathan class lifeform detected. Proceed with caution or avoid at all costs.

I surface very briefly, and monitor the creature. It emits yet another ear shattering roar-

And falls still, curiously looking around before turning in my direction. My blood chilled as the creature cut its gaze at me,with two black insectoid eyes..

I slowly back up,and turn on the seaglide turning to leave. As I did the Leviathan gave chase, easily blowing its own hole in the hull and chasing me relentlessly along the side of the wreckage.

In the panic I made for the shallow landings the Aurora made on landing. I scrambled onto loose, wet sand as the creature briefly beached its own head, emitting an unfiltered, deafening roar...its facial claws barely trimmed me..

It gently growls and returns to the water, emitting sounds of strain. I watched the creature swim toward the aft of the ship..

I sat there for a moment yet again,as my hearing slowly recovered.

"The Reaper Leviathan is a common animal found in many extraterrestrial planets deep enough to house leviathan scale lifeforms. The Species found on 4546B is known as the

Horridus Messorem's Cheliceratops. Its name means Grim Reaper's Claw-Horned Face,a nessecary name for this highly aggressive predator. These animals use an advanced format of echolocation, however their great size makes their roar greatly endangering,at almost 155.2 decibels out of water."

I sigh, and return to the water when my legs didnt feel like gelatin. I carefully explored the wreckage, making like a rodent and keeping what crumbs I could find. Most of the decks were rendered inaccessible via waterway, except one or two above oceanic level.

Climbing onto the deck that led into the water,I was beheld a bloody scene. Warily I keep going, trying my best to ignore the carnage.

Few cadavers were around, those that were had been partially eaten by something. I drew my survival knife, now expecting the wost...

From the wreckage a small, four legged creature charged, and jumped at me. I slashed at the creature, managing to repel it a first time and throwing it a short distance away-

It jumps a second time, and I put out the knife in defense-

It lands on the knife, but not without weakly clawing at me..finally falling limp mere seconds after starting. I set the creature down gently,a highly developed single eye on top of its disk shaped body now distantly staring into the sky.

I scan it..

ENTRY:CAVE CRAWLER

A distinct member of the planet's Arthropod family,Cave Crawlers are assumed the only Demi-aquatic terrestrial animal of 4546B.

These aggressive Carrion Scavengers can be found on small islands, typically feeding on washed up carcasses of fish,or rarely amongst wreckage sites above sea level.

-WARNING:These animals are detected to have human remains in their digestive tract. Terminate or avoid.

The sun began to settle below the horizon.

"Welp...there goes my chance to sleep in a bed..." I mutter as I pressed on,coming to a dead end,the doorway was blocked by crates and wreckage...

"Shit..."
