The four dukes

A few days had past after what happened.

During this time they got to know each other better.

Of course El didn't tell Sua who he was or where he was from.

But he did tell that they were bound by a contract, similar to a master-slave one.

Both of them spent their days in Sua's room, since El wanted to know about the kingdom in deeper detail.

Because of the explanation El had understood that there were four dukes who protected the kingdom.

"On the northern side you find the Vastia's.

They protect the kingdom from the Yetis.

Big monsters with sharp claws and theet that live on the mountain of Skar.

A Yeti alone isn't dangerous but since they're always in a group, it can be a little difficult to handle them, infact they cause a lot of deaths every year.

Then on the southern side you find the Cankers.

They monopolise the sea.

Infact they are the best traders in the whole country, and they protect the kingdom from invasions.

After the Cankers you find the Navirs on the eastern.

Unlike the Cankers they protect the kingdom on land from invasions.

Their famous because of their incredible strategies.

And on the western side of the kingdom you have the Olims, the most powerful mages in the empire.

They don't protect the kingdom but research on it.

On the western side you also find a big canyon, called Kir, inside it you can find monster and and incredible ores and the history about the empire.

This canyon was formed during the foundation of the empire and since mages are curious creatures, they want to research it.

And in the end at the capital you find the king, who does litterly nothing but eat all day long because everything is handled by the dukes.

Is this correct?"

"Yes! Your a really fast learner El!"

"I know right!

Anyway I did some research but I couldn't find the reason why you don't have blessing."

"It's fine you don't have to worry about it."

Well it wasn't something not to worry about.

Infact the blessing was something quite useful, not only did it make the person more talented but it helped with poisoning.

Something that happened very often in every dukes family.

So it was truly a pity that he didn't have one.

"Hey give me your hand."

said El.

"Oh..ok."

Teg second El grabbed Sua's hand a bright light started shining, it had beautiful golden colour.

"What is this?"

asked Sua in a curious tone.

"You don't have to worry about it, It's just simple magic."

"I wish one day i can use magic just like you."

"Don't worry you will be able to learn magic, infact it seem like you have a talent for it."

"Really!?"

"Yeah said El with a soft voice."

The day something unexpected happened.

El had forced Sua to go exercise in the garden, since it was important for him to have a good built if he wanted to learn magic and swordsmanship.

Doing simple exercises would have had helped him with his weak body.

Actually Sua was extremely thin, he looked like someone who didn't get enough to eat.

While he was exercising, suddenly the butler who served the duke showed up and said

"Young master, since your birthday is in a month, the Duke would like to have lunch with you.

When you decide which day is good please come and inform me."

then he left.

Sua who was perplexed by what had happened stood there.

Suddenly El out of nowhere appeared in front of him.

"W-what are you doing! I told you not to do that! Watching a black face appeare out of nowhere is creepy!"

"Goshh, sorry about that! But aside that your father wants to see you isn't that great?"

"I-i don't know...he only saw my face once after I came to live here..."

"Oh..."

El who wanted to cheer up Sua said

"How about we go outside the estate?"

with a grin on his face.

"Really? You can take me outside?"

"Yup! Since I'm starting to recover my magic, spells like teleportation are easy!"

Hearing those words Sua started smiling brightly, it was the first time El had ever seen him slime.

Seeing Sua smile El was really happy.

"But promise me, you will not leave my side at any cost, ok?"

"Ok! I will not leave your side at any cost."

"Good, then grab my hand."

Just when Sua grabbed Els hand a circle with dark writting formed underneath them.

In a blink of an eye they were at the main market of the northern region.

Sua had never this place before infact you could see the excitement in his eyes.

"Is this the first time you've been to a place like this?"

Asked El out of curiosity.

"Yes! Before coming to the Vastia Estate I lived in an orphanage, people there didn't really like me, so whenever everyone went out I was left all alone."

"I see..."

Somehow after hearing the childs words El had a bitter taste in his mouth.

"Hey El I have something to say, so um you know if I talk to you, other people will think I'm crazy because they can't see you...see people are already starting to look at me with a weird look..."

"Mhh I don't know what your saying, nobody is looking at you, and if they are looking you, their probably admiring your cuteness.

And if you want to do something about people thinking your crazy we can use telephaty."

"Yeah that's a great idea!"

"So can you hear me?"

"Yeah I can! It's amazing, I hope I can use magic like this one day...Ah right! I wanted to ask you about the circle beneath us before teleporting here."

"About the circle, it's something that low class magician use, it consumes less magic so I used it.

But it does have it's disadvantage, for example you can't choose where you would like to teleport.

Ahh~and you don't need to worry about the money I stole some from your safe."

"Hey!"

After the small talk Sua and El began to enjoy their evening.

They had a lot of fun, it was a happy day but of course it didn't last long.

Suddenly a group a Yetis showed up, they started destroying the market and starteld the people there who started running in the same direction as Sua.

Because Sua was still a child, he couldn't keep his composure and got dragged with the crowd.

El still hadn't noticed that Sua was missing said

"Hey Sua, grab my hand, we should teleport to the Estate. Huh Sua?"

The second he noticed Sua was missing, he felt a sudden chill.
