013 Confusion

I have a billion thoughts and questions running into my head right now as to why am I involve. Last night we ate, then we cleaned after out meal, I shared a room with Alex while Erika stayed in the room where we ate and lastly we slept so, that's all the activity I could remember I did that I was involve so why?

Why the heck am getting punished for something I don't even know!?

'Seriously I got screamed at when I was on the verge of waking up, I just wanna have some peaceful morning'

I glared at Alex as he poke my arm, whispering how tired he was.

"Shut up, I don't want to hear any words coming out from your mouth cause if it weren't for you I won't be in this situation" I hissed angrily and Alex turned around with an expression of a kicked puppy.

"It's seriously an accident" he murmured.

At the moment the two of us were outside, not out of the safezone but only outside of the abandoned apartment. We were commanded to stand up here without moving an inch from the circle Erika had drawn below our fit till she finally found what went missing which was a box containing two dozens of shotgun shells.

"Hey Aiden isn't it better to search together to find it faster?" Alex suddenly pointed out and I groaned inside my head, trying to ignore him.

"I told you she's doing this on purpose just to punish us for no reason" he continued and looked at me with a new found hope when I didn't snap at him with some nasty remark.

"You agree right? She's like a strict Mom who just scold her children without any explanation first when something happened!" alright that's it!

I faced him with a dangerous look and his eyes widen, nervous looking around the circle on the ground and probably contemplating whether to run or stay.

"Where were you this morning before I was woken up?" I asked irritatedly.

"I was outside" was his timid answer.

"And what did you do the moment you woke up?"

"Well..." he paused and look at the ground.

"Alex what did you do?" I asked once more, clearly getting even pissed.

"I was inside her room but she wasn't there so I decided to...look around" he admitted though he was still looking down.

"Just look around?"

Alex nodded and I got the answer I want.

'Like hell they'll admit what they did' I thought irritatedly and ignore him once again yet this time he made no attempt to have a conversation with me.

As we stood there for a couple of minutes while getting accompanied by aching feets and an awkward tension the door suddenly opened and Erika came out, looking like she was about to kill somebody.

"You two come inside right now" she ordered and strode back inside with angry strides. Me and Alex look at each other one more time before entering the building that seemed like the gates of hell. Once inside we faced Erika who was pacing the back and forth before suddenly stopping and pointing at me.

"Let's start training! Spar with me" he commanded more than ask. I was hesitant cause her face seemed to tell me she need to vent out some anger yet I couldn't say no. I nodded and started walking towards her only to be surprised when I was within her reach, out of nowhere, without a single warning, her knee suddenly collided against my stomach hard. My eyes widen and I felt like I was gonna puke before falling to the ground, coughing loudly while clutching my stomach.

"Never let your guard down! Your enemy won't tell you when are they gonna start attacking!" she scolded harshly and crossed her arms around her chest. Alex looked like he wanted to help me but was to afraid of the person near me so he just decided to stay put with a look of guilt in his face.

"Can you at least go easy on me" I seethed in pain the moment I noticed that my health bar on the watch decreased almost to 50%.

"Stand back up!" she commanded and I was forced to do as she said, standing on my wobbly feet and facing her in the most awkward defensive stance I tried to copy from the games I played.

"Come and attack!" she ordered and I frowned.

"You're... telling me to hit you?"

"If you can" she stated arrogantly and that somehow got me pissed. I rushed towards her and readied my fist yet she made no move to avoid or defend herself so I reeled in back some of my strength cause she might be hurt and I'll be beaten to death. As my fist was about to collide on her shoulder she tsked and moved so fast to the side, grabbed other arm and the back of my neck before slamming me to the ground hard while pinning my other hand behind my back.

"Too slow" she scolded but I didn't pay any attention to her as the pain from my ribcage became unbearable while she's putting weight on top of me. I couldn't move nor try to breath properly, whenever my chest rise the pain would become excruciating yet I couldn't even scream. On top of all those pain my fear suddenly rose up while I stare at my free hand extended forward where the watch was and slowly my HP bar was draining and right now it was yellow.

"..op"

"What was that? I can't hear you" Erika complained yet made no move to stop pinning me to the ground.

"Stop..." by this time my HP bar was red and the watch was vibrating whenever it decreases.

'What the heck is wrong with her! I'm gonna die' I thought and tried moving my feet. If Alex is still behind then he might notice, I just hope he would notice fast.

Relief swept through me when I heard Alex's voice snapping at Erika. Man that's a lot of courage to master for a punny weakling like you who's scared of everything, you got some of my respect.

"Let go he's gonna die!"

"Die? Are you two stupid? I'm not doing anything to kill him!" Erika argued but she let go of me and I crawled far away from her, breathing heavily and massaging the front of my chest.

"Can't you see that you're draining my HP! I'm down to ten percent!" I fumed and Erika looked at us with a frown.

"HP? what the heck are you complaining?" she asked.

"Huh"

Did she just asked what HP was?
