Hmm... hiring an assassin itself takes money and since the person is willing to go so far as to try and kill me, that means that there must be a big reason why they want me dead. The only good reason I could think of, that someone would want me dead might be the engagement between myself and princess Qin Ai. Political marriage must be the reason...
So it is either an admirer of the princess that wanted to kill me or better yet it was the princess herself that wishes to kill me...
